I’m a Kentuckian that learned to cook standing on a lard can in my grandmother’s kitchen sixty eight years ago. I’ve watched almost all their videos, Flawless!
I’m a 70 y/o married to my husband 54 years! I never ever waste a drop of anything so that made me sit up and listen to Tom’s recipes! His explicit instructions reeled me in! I have never cooked a recipe of his that my husband and I do not like! Sure in 70 yrs I have my own pimento cheese recipe! But I’m still open minded and I am going to try his version! Why wouldn’t I? Everything he makes is really really good! I will leave it to my husband to see which he likes! I will let you know!
I have been making homemade pimento cheese spread for decades with just three ingredients. Shredded cheddar cheese, pimentos and mayonnaise. When I saw this recipe I thought I had to try it and let me tell you this is how I will be making my pimento cheese from now on. it is delicious!
I made this a couple of days ago, and it is the best pimento cheese I have ever eaten. Shared some with a co-worker and she also fell in love with it. Thanks Tom!!
I made your pimento cheese today. It was delicious and super easy. Before I added the pimentos, the recipe was too thick and I got a little worried. But when I added the jar of pimentos, everything was okay and was exactly right. I shared half of this recipe with my neighbor, they loved it also. Thank you!
I just Love watching y'alls videos. My parents never taught me how to cook, so it's been something I have learned by watching videos like this. I'm 38 years old and I feel like I'm being taught by some amazing parents. Thank you both for sharing so many wonderful recipes with so many of us, many whom are being fed more than recipes! God Bless you both! Merry Christmas as well!!
I did make this pimiento cheese and strictly followed the directions. At your suggestion, I chopped up bread and butter pickles rather than using relish. I let it sit in the fridge overnight. Just like you said! It was the best pimiento recipe I have ever made. I just tossed all the other recipe cards I had accumulated. This is my go to and I have made it many times. I will make it many, many more times. I also tried the chili recipe you created saying that none you had tried were quite right. I do think you nailed it. It is so good and I have several cartons in my freezer now! I so enjoy your videos and all the wonderful dishes you bring to us!
I made this today. I’m 76 years old and from south Mississippi and this is the first time I ever had pickles in my pimento and cheese. Interesting! But not sure it will take over first place. 😮 But hey, I enjoy your show. I bet you were a very good teacher. Looking forward to making the key lime pie. 😋 Carolyn
I haven’t had pimento cheese with sweet pickle relish either but I’m definitely going to try it. I love sweet relish and celery in my tuna salad, so I’ll probably like this too! I’m 66 and have never made pimento cheese! I guess because my husband doesn’t like it. My list of your recipes to try is growing!
Years ago my husband would occasionally come home from grocery shopping with a small tub of pimento cheese and fresh loaf of French bread. It was a favorite treat of his. I wish I’d had your recipe back then. I think he would have loved it. I will give this a go. I have no doubt it will be scrumptious. Thank you.
My Mother made homemade pimento cheese & it was delicious. She never used cream cheese nor pickle relish but she did use some velvetta which she warmed a little & mixed it until it was creamy with her hand mixer. Then she added the other ingredients & the shredded cheese last. I make my own too & I use shredded sharp white & yellow cheddar cheese because we like the sharp cheese, miracle whip and 2 jars of pimento’s with the juice, & garlic salt. I add some sugar in the mayo & mix it well. And I use some warmed velvetta, which gives it a better flavor than the cream cheese. I love your channel & Merry Christmas😊
My mom used to buy this is a tiny jar and it was so expensive so we only had it for Thanksgiving or Christmas. She put it on celery or crackers. I’m so excited to see this recipe that I could jump right in my iPad and give you both a big hug 🤗. I’ll be making it for any occasion now. Thank you so much 😊
Oooh Tom and Melissa, I just made the pimento cheese. Letting it rest for a while then we will be having sandwiches with soup. Thanks for sharing. Also in my mind Philadelphia is the best cream cheese. I also bought Miracle Whip which I have never done as far as I can remember. We have been married 54 years. You introduced me to something other than mayo! God bless you both and I would just love to “Come Sit at Your Table”!!!❤
We love to have you with us at the table! We hope you enjoy using Miracle Whip. We love it for sandwiches but with baking, we find mayonnaise holds up better.
Tom, Having lived 20 years in four Southern states I never came across a " perfect " pimento cheese recipe. I wish to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this magnificent recipe! A devoted follower, Rosie T
Fantastic! We are so happy that you like our recipe! Thanks so much for the vote of approval and for watching our channel. We really do appreciate that.
I'm a 54 year old Florida Panhandle gal... moved to Indiana 5 years ago... you cannot find good Pimento Cheese here!!!😟 I'm so glad yall shared this..🧡🧡 I lost my Nanys recipe for homemade & now I have a new one to try!!😋😋😋
@shannonwhite7605 In Virginia we use a pound of sharp cheddar cheese and a pound of Velveeta cheese, mayo, garlic salt, pepper and 2 small jars of canned pimentos. Everything goes into an old-fashioned meat grinder and wala yummiest pimento cheese around. You can also add a few red pepper flakes if you like. But, seriously, it's the best.
Thank you. I make my grandmothers Pimento Cheese (My grandfather called it Minner Cheese). She said "You can scrimp and scrape but you have to get Hellman's Mayonnaise." I use my Great Aunt Lucille's sweet pickles and I HAVE to make 5 pounds at a time for friends and family. AND what I love about Southern Caviar is every family has their own recipe. God Bless and stay safe.
You are my favorite cooking blog! I am nearing 80 and love to cook. But I have some health challenges which limit the amount of time I can spend on my feet. Still, I really enjoy my time spent "Sitting at Your Table!"
I really like your videos. I have never had pimento cheese and I am 78. I can't wait to make your recipe. I love that you never waste anything. Have a great day.
Thank you for the recipe! That looks delicious. It is good to see you, Melissa trying the recipe. The difference between the two of you tasting the Pimento Cheese was so funny! Your dainty little bit compared to Tom's approach of "swallow the whole thing." LOL You make such a cute, interesting couple.
I’ve never put sweet relish in mine, but will try it. I agree home made pimento cheese is better. Thank you for all the recipes you give us❣️ Your wife has to be a good woman to find a husband that cooks. What a blessing ❣️
@@comesitatmytable9044 It's funny because I have to have Miracle Whip on my BLT's and turkey sandwiches. I'm from MI, but most of my friend's just will not have it. I think they're missing out!

And thanks for the clear instructions and for your wife supplying the written recipe. Sure enjoy your videos and have earmarked some to make! Thanks again and take care! 👍

We are so happy to read your comment! You've made us smile! Thank you so much for trying them out - and for watching some of our earliest videos! We had so much to learn when we first started - and we are definitely still a work in progress - but we really are excited when people watch some of those first videos of ours!
Glad I found your video! Had been promising my Grandson and Granddaughter I would make them some. Instead of pickles and sugar I added chopped fresh jalapeños and a 7 oz jar pimentos. All I had was garlic power so did that with Pink salt! Was delish! She loved it so did my hubs.
I am enjoying your channel. If you want to cook for my family in Daytona Beach. This is how I make pimento cheese except I use garlic powder and no additional sugar. Just the sweetness of the miracle whip. Next time I will try your recipe. Ya’ll have a good day.
Wow, someone who uses Miracle Whip in pimento cheese! Everyone else I've seen uses mayo. I've been looking for a recipe; don't want to have store bought. I grew up on Miracle Whip, I tend to use mayo for recipes that call for it and for tarter sauce and that's about it. Thanks for telling us not to use dill pickles, I was just wondering that as you pulled out the sweet. I always use dill relish, so I'd have to buy sweet. Thanks for posting this. Merry Christmas to y'all, hope you and the family have a lovely and blessed holiday.
There is Nothing better than teacher, church ladies recipes. Tom is the best on youtube. I love his habit of leaving Nothing in bottom of mixing bowl. other cooks really irritate me doing this. He always uses the finest ingredients. One question: why does he use imitation vanilla and not the pure vanilla?
He said during one of his other videos he prefers not having the dark color added. He seems to get a lot of tacky, snarky questions. He is so polite I doubt he will ever respond except in the kindest, most polite way. He knows what he likes and is showing you the way he does things. If you have ever cooked at all, you know that you certainly can replace imitation vanilla with vanilla extract without a problem if you want. But the result will not be the same.
Everybody says Miracle Whip is sweet, but I perceive it as tangy and mayonnaise as sweet. I love Miracle Whip and only use mayonnaise in a very few recipes that are very specific to needing it.
This is delicious. I’ve been looking in stores for pimiento cheese but they all have so many additives. I was so happy to come across you and your recipe. I made it and am eating it as a dip with celery. 🙂

So I went back to buying it in the grocery store which isn’t as good as this! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for this wonderful recipe. I am sharing this with my sister as well as facebook.❤❤❤❤❤❤

I have been wanting some pimento cheese; but another thing that cannot be purchased up here. BUT, I have ALL of the ingredients to make THIS! Now, off to the kitchen... Oh, THANKS, again
OhMyGoodness, it was so good when I mixed it. I let it sit in the refrigerator, overnight, to marry and chill. We'll have sandwiches, for lunch, today!
I am just dying to make this as I love pimento cheese spread. TY for your great recipes and inviting me into your home! I love visiting with you both ❤
I love pimento cheese and make it often, but I do not want pickle relish or Miracle Whip in mine. Not saying it might not be good, but that's just strange with pickles and I cannot stand the taste of Miracle Whip, so I never use it in anything. I'm a Hellman's mayo girl! I do put cream cheese in my chicken salad and might try it next time I make pimento cheese.
Thank you so much. Your words are very kind. I have made a view appearances, but Tom is the definite cook in the family. I really do appreciate that you are watching our channel. This is one of our earliest videos. We were really trying to figure it all out at that point. We appreciate that you have joined us at the table.
Thank you for this recipe! This is what my taste buds were looking for. I knew the version I liked had sweet relish in it, but no one else had it in their recipe. I'm excited to make it.
I love pimento cheese. I'll have to make yours. Locally they don't have pimentos so I'll make my own from Red sweet bell peppers. I'll brine them overnight in a little bit of salt vinegar and sugar in water I'll drain the water before I use them
I make celery stick with pimento cheese and i always use just cream cheese for it. It keeps it moist and creamy. But if you have never had it on celery sticks you have to try it.😊😊
Watch your channel frequently and thoroughly enjoy it. I made this Pimento Cheese from your recipe today and love it. Perfect ingredients! Thank you for sharing it.
I just watched this video and I am going out tomorrow and get a block of cheese tomorrow, I have everything else. I actually have my own bread and butter pickles that I canned I’m going to use them and their juice, oh I can’t wait , I love pimento cheese, I’ll be back to let you know how much we love it. You two are the sweetest couple.
I love a good pimento cheese an I love your “clean as you go cooking ethic”. I was raised waste not want not and to clean as I go so clean up is made so much easier!
My step mother made this with med cheese, a very little bit of finely grated onion, pimento and mayo, very simple. This looks delicious, might make for holiday parties. I’m new to your channel, love watching you guys

How nice to see Melissa! I’m fairly new to the channel so have been watching your more recent videos. I have the same kitchen aid beater attachment, love it.
I use my mother-in-law's recipe which is about the same as yours but sharp cheese. My hubby insists on it so sometimes if having company I do two batches, one using sharp and one of mild. She used the pickle juice but not the pickles. I think there must be a hundred recipes out there! Love pimento cheese.
Yes someone likes Miracle Whip-that all mama ever had in the hills of Ark-when I got married my husband who was norn and raised on a farm close to Peoria Illinois-and they always use Hellmans so I learned to like it -those are the only ones I like-a store up here finally got some Dukes-so I thought a lot of people in the deep south only use Dukes so I got a quart-i did not like the taste-but I used it till it was gone-will never get Dukes again😅-to each his own😂
This looks SOOO Good!! This is something Ive never tried. Definately making this! Ive spent last couple hours watching you guys cook, and collecting your recipes. You all are so likeable. ❤😂
I work the polls tomorrow. We always plan to have plenty of food to snack on for the long day. I will be taking the pimento cheese spread as one of my contributions.
Can’t beat homemade pimento cheese! Never had it with the relish but going to try it. Also going to try it with Miracle Whip. I’m a JFG Mayo gal but something about the MW sounds tasty too. Love your channel.
✍Hello... So glad I decided to look at least one more video before going to bed and I'm glad I did. Growing up in the 50s my mom would buy Kraft Pimento cheese in the small glasses for the holidays or for parties. When I married 60 years ago I continued to follow my moms traditions and bought the pimento and the pineapple spreads in the glasses till last year cause Kraft quit making them. Your recipe sounds like it might just be the recipe I'm looking for. The Kraft Pimento cheese in the small glasses is on the sweet side and so as it sounds your recipe so I'll try making it. Its really late so Good Night😴 God Bless LuvYa! Bye from Ohio🌹

I'm The Exact OPPOSITE! I LOVE 'MIRACLE WHIP'& Absolutely HATE ' REAL MAYO' Of ANY BRAND!
I have been watching your videos for about a year, this is the first time I have seen Melissa , you match your voice exactly, beautiful!
Thank you so much. Your words are very kind. I have made a view appearances, but Tom is the definite cook in the family. I really do appreciate that you are watching our channel. This is one of our earliest videos. We were really trying to figure it all out at that point. We appreciate that you have joined us at the table.
Great recipe thank you Tom & Melissa for new recipe💛💚🙏Blessings in this Christmas Week💛💚Bodi
Thank you for this recipe! This is what my taste buds were looking for. I knew the version I liked had sweet relish in it, but no one else had it in their recipe. I'm excited to make it.
My mother used to make pimento cheese. It was so much better than store bought.
Anything we make ourselves is going to be better than store bought, in my opinion. Thank you for watching our video.

Homemade Is Always Better!
I love pimento cheese. I'll have to make yours. Locally they don't have pimentos so I'll make my own from Red sweet bell peppers. I'll brine them overnight in a little bit of salt vinegar and sugar in water I'll drain the water before I use them
Oh, my goodness! I have never made pimento cheese with pickle relish, and think I'll try it with Famous Dave's hot and spicy pickle relish! Yum!
That would be nice. Add a bit of a bite! Thank you so much for watching our channel.
I couldn’t stand pimento cheese until I tasted my mother in loves home made! So yummy!
Hope you enjoy this one if you make it. Thank you for watching our video.
I enjoy watching your simple and tasty recipes. I’ll be looking for them. Thanks.
Oh My Gosh!!!! You have my mouth watering. I'm definitely gonna try this.
I’ve been looking for a pimento cheese recipe and this sure looks good! Thanks for sharing!
I make celery stick with pimento cheese and i always use just cream cheese for it. It keeps it moist and creamy. But if you have never had it on celery sticks you have to try it.😊😊
You're a really good cook. Thank's for the great homemade recipes. Most people don't cook like this anymore. Sad
I love pimento cheese spread but it was one thing I never knew how to make. And now I do sir. So thank you very much Tom.
Im so happy i found your channel. My new go to for good recipes.
OMG, as the kids say. This is so good. I am so glad you shared your recipe. My mother and I love your videos.

I love when you tap the spoon on the side of the bowl… I do it too!
That awesome I, bet so good. ❤ Merry Christmas to you Melissa and Tom your family friend. Great holidays season.🌲🎁
Gosh I’ve just been binge-watching your channel!! I will try this soon! You two have a great channel.
I love a good pimento cheese an I love your “clean as you go cooking ethic”. I was raised waste not want not and to clean as I go so clean up is made so much easier!
I love all of your recipes!! You seem to make them so simple and I appreciate that! Please keep them coming!!
My step mother made this with med cheese, a very little bit of finely grated onion, pimento and mayo, very simple. This looks delicious, might make for holiday parties. I’m new to your channel, love watching you guys
We love having you at the table. Thanks so much for joining us and watching one of our earliest videos. We were just starting our channel back then and this was one of our first attempts. We were such novices - not that we're experts now - but I'd like to think we've improved a lot this year! Have a wonderful day!
Just watched video, so quick and easy. It is delicious!!! We ate it on crackers. Will make this recipe from now on! Great job Tom. We added some dill seasoning but used sweet relish. Lol
Glad you liked it!! Thanks for watching our videos!
I will definitely make this!! I love pimento cheese!!! Thank You!!!❤️👍🏻 14:54

Miracle whip. Man after my own heart. ❤❤❤
How nice to see Melissa! I’m fairly new to the channel so have been watching your more recent videos. I have the same kitchen aid beater attachment, love it.
I don’t normally like pimento cheese bc I don’t like mayo! I do love this recipe bc I put less than the recipe called for & it’s perfect for me!!
I’ve been trying PC recipes and haven’t been able to find one we like. I’m going to try this one. Love your videos. ❤️🙏🫠
Yes someone likes Miracle Whip-that all mama ever had in the hills of Ark-when I got married my husband who was norn and raised on a farm close to Peoria Illinois-and they always use Hellmans so I learned to like it -those are the only ones I like-a store up here finally got some Dukes-so I thought a lot of people in the deep south only use Dukes so I got a quart-i did not like the taste-but I used it till it was gone-will never get Dukes again😅-to each his own😂
Love idea recipes good food .
I just love your channel!!
I've made this recipe several times and it is always a hit. Thank you!
This looks SOOO Good!! This is something Ive never tried. Definately making this! Ive spent last couple hours watching you guys cook, and collecting your recipes. You all are so likeable. ❤😂
We are thrilled to hear this! Thank you so much for your support and sweet words. We hope you find a bunch of recipes to enjoy!
This Homemade Pimento Cheese recipe looks so delicious 😋 Mr. Tom.
I work the polls tomorrow. We always plan to have plenty of food to snack on for the long day. I will be taking the pimento cheese spread as one of my contributions.
We hope it was a success!
Can’t beat homemade pimento cheese! Never had it with the relish but going to try it. Also going to try it with Miracle Whip. I’m a JFG Mayo gal but something about the MW sounds tasty too. Love your channel.
Awww thank you so much! We really appreciate the encouragement!
I don't like sweet pickles or relish. I'd try this without it. And I'd use garlic powder minus the extra salt.
Loved seeing Melissa on camera. Definitely beautiful 😊
I love those spreads. Haven't seen them in a while.
This is a great pimento cheese recipe! Reminds me of my grandma’s pimento cheese when I was a little girl. Thank you for sharing this recipe! Love watching your videos!
I'm going to try this. I've never used relish in pimento think I'll use wickles relish for a little sweet heat . Thanks for the recipe!
You are so welcome. Are so excited that you are watching one of our earliest videos.
