I especially like grabbing an enemy, throwing them to the ground, then switching to the hidden blade and air assassinating them. Everybody complaining about AC1 being repetitive is to blame for every future game in the series being bloated with icons, collectibles, and side activities that contribute nothing of value to the core experience purely for the sake of variety.
I know I’m months late to this, but why are players to blame for the result of decisions Ubisoft made over the course of many subsequent AC games? It’s not like repetition in AC1 was a good thing. It was a valid complaint about the first game from the start. Players thought the repeated tasks and lack of variety in many aspects of presentation made it feel bloated, synthetic, and less enjoyable than it could have been. Those who complained never wanted the hollow-variety dullness we have now. They didn’t want more HUD icons, collectibles, crafting systems, or copy-pasted activities. They wanted a more refined and concise core experience than what the original had delivered, and for Ubisoft to do such refining in future games. Simple adjustments; Less tower climbing, better city layouts, natural momentum through activities, more voiceover variety, maybe not the same ‘save the citizen’ activity and reward repeated 80+ times, and overall more organic and immersive opportunities to be the deadly assassin Altair was meant to be. That’s the stuff that keeps repetitiveness low while keeping the core game simple and sharp. Did Ubisoft ‘fix’ the dullness in their games today? Apparently not, but that’s not the fault of people who had valid criticisms about a flawed but effective game with a bold new concept 15 years ago. You can’t blame players because they wanted something promising to be even better, you should blame the developers/publishers who set and followed a standard over time that made a promising thing worse.
@@toptart4925 you make a good point but I think those players that complained about parkour not working well when they were just incurious contributed to the decline of the series

It is possible in all others act's as well but no one make use of it because people are lasy. They choose the easiest way in games maybe in life as well.
Mgs 5 ist a great game.
But it ist possible to play mgs 5 and find it boring. It's the way you play.
In assassins creed 1 it is possible to choose you own path to a assassinate the target. In ac2 it was already scripted to much. But ac'2 was a fing game on it's own.
Sometimes we need to understand how the makers intentioned to play the games to have joy with it.
Sure if close enouth let x and r2 and walk in a normal speed and hit the target. Or he will hear you and turn around. :)
That first trailer of AC1 made me want to escape my job at the time… run to the store and play that game!. It was so special and different… I loved every bit of it… and I regretted Collecting all flags… 😂😂😂
Simple is better. The white hoodie though
When it comes to being assassins creed, AC1 does it better than any ither game. Imo its the best in the series.
There's a lot more to the combat than you mentioned. Watch the video by DaBeanieBoi to find out. Easier than me trying to explain it in text.
My favourite combat in the series.
Still 2023 have this game on ps3, and have whole ezio trilogy on ps4 🌝
The only thing i dontlike about first ac games ( i have onlyolayed first few) is the futuristic hud, and oresent day missions. Such a bummer
Still wait you responded chat question
Absolutely fuck this game if you are on PC, the sorry is awesome, just watch the videos and don't lose your time with it, it's not worth it. The controls are messed up, still not fixed, they kept the "play station" game style and its an absolute disaster. It's simply not with it.
@@mdjambazky4968 Eagle Patch on Nexus mods. There also other great mods like disable auto switch weapons and a dedicated throwing knife button. Definitive Parkour is excellent too, make great even better
@@WideOldDan is this mode available for pc now?
@@mdjambazky4968 only for pc, the community have fixed what Ubisoft messed up
@@WideOldDan That's good, I'm on PC, do you happen to have a link for those mods?
@@mdjambazky4968 I tried putting the links in a comment twice but the comments disappeared
Just Google. Eagle patch is the most important
Wish xbox would do back compat for the ezio trilogy like ac 1. Ubisofts remaster was absolutely garbage.
Degenerate Jay Can you make new video this game youtube channel news coming add in Will be happy lot you do please bro Starfield

AC1 was a horribly designed boring game. Easily the worst game i ever played.
Were you guys even alive when it released? It was so revolutionary in every way, which is why every AC game after it just built off it instead of revamping the entire game engine. Even Mirage tried to be more like the first game and failed.
It really smooth the parkour. the missons were so fun many options
@@KillaGandhithey surely weren't 😂
@@KillaGandhiok? When it released, sure. There is 0 reason to play it today. It is such a mind boggingly boring mess I cannot see how the rest of the series even managed to hold up.
I mean, I just never got used to the combat, but more power to you.
I've never been the best at it myself to be honest. I actually liked it later on in the series a little more when it comes to combat because I felt like I could do more, but also as I could do more it seemed to become easier. Those full synchronizations though where you can't take any damage are the bane of me.
