Gunn Club's entrance theme is great. These two teams were magic together, sucks it's gotta end so soon. Billy Gunn is JACKED. Wish he would get the occasional TV matches Dustin gets. Hell Billy and Jade could be the unofficial PTs for their lockerooms lol.

I’ll miss that moment every week. Cornette and Last act confused, but it was a Julius Caesar moment. Caesar had a knife in his back, bleeding out & dying, and his last words are “and you, Brutus?”… Cornette & Last would’ve got mad at Caesar for not getting stabbed and immediately yelling, “What the f*ck?!”
It was the “How come my name’s on this” line from Chris Jericho/Kevin Owens. It’s silly, juvenile, but it I think it worked.

At first I didn't like the gunn club and acclaimed pairing but it won me over pretty quickly. I feel that ended waaay too soon

The whole story of The Acclaimed and The Gunns is they mutually tried to "outsmart" each other but were equally played by each other. They started as rivals and cut tracks against each other for weeks. This was to turn Acclaimed face but had to be delayed due to two injuries.
The Acclaimed AssBoys together was one of the best things in AEW, and it maybe lasted 2 months before they broke up and barely won anything... yet the Dark Order, Best Friends, and House of Black we have to be reminded are still a thing. While an Acclaimed vs Gunn Club feud will be fun to watch, I was enjoying the duo. But AEW reminds us we can't have things people actually like and enjoy.

While I will miss this paring, The Acclaimed are young and over, I do want to see them get a push soon and win more matches on tv.

I don't mind Anthony Bowens trying to do the scissors with Billy. It was like he was pleading with him for things to go back to the way they were.
I think they broke them up way too soon. This should’ve lasted till at least All Out.

These blind tags from the turnbuckle to anywhere other than the wrestlers hand is quite common with both companies and presumably smaller ones too, also doing it. I don't like it either.
I liked the Bowens moment tbh. I didn't like it from a purists side of me, but I liked it. The scissor me daddy ass thing got over, it felt more like a "say it ain't so" moment, since the schtick was The Acclaimed were his new shiny adopted sons.
If anyone seriously thought Billy would do anything other than side with the junior asses then you had another thing coming.
Holding tag rope, both feet on Mat, tag the hand…I see someone standing on bottom rope to reach over or through the ropes, tag shouldn’t count IMHO, but it’s wrestling bookers want a POP

Second, they were blind tagging the entire match, the Acclaimed were also blind tagging.
Third, they might still be together.
Agreed the tags are getting messy, but I actually thought the ref did a good job making a show of calling the tag out so everybody knew a blind tag had happened.
Agreed. I’ve seen plenty of slapping someone’s back blind tags over the years from regular tag teams and rivals tagging together that hate each other.

I love the acclaimed. Been a fan of theirs since the first time I saw them. Max is money... MONEY! also, very fun to watch wrestle. they wrestle like actual wrestlers.

Bowens was in a wheelchair because he was legit injured Corny
The point is that they could have used it in some sort of angle. Similar to how "Narcissist" Lex Luger legit has a metal plate in his elbow so they worked it in where his finisher was an elbow smash to knock people out with it. Or D-Lo with that body armor.
Basically keep using the chair, acting like he's still hurt, someone goes to attack him and he slowly gets up from the chair, showing he's not hurt, and beat the snot out of whoever.
But AEW is too busy burying the Acclaimed instead of actually pushing them like they should - since Max Caster has been jobbed out worse than most everyone else on the roster.
The Rick Knox jokes are NEVER not freakin hilarious.....Jim Cornette is just an assassin lol. He kills me 🤣

I disagree, I thought it was a great visual moment of disbelief. Is it a bit silly? maybe, but I didn't see it as a comedic moment, just a sort of exclamation on the Billy betrayal

i dont remember exactly what he said about knox, but it was something about him not being able to see and call anything right. all the commentators popped hard, but he never did explain when asked why he said it lol.

Acclaimed vs Gunn's will be a great match! I'm thinking FTR and some of the ex-WWE guys must be coaching these guys to get better. They're noticeably getting better in the ring and wrestling more in the styles of those before them instead of taking the modern 30 moves and 10 kick outs per match route

As far as I can tell there is only 3 real tag teams in AEW without The Hardy’s and that’s The Gunn Club, The Acclaim and FTR. AEW needs 1 more legit tag team and 4 job teams to have a better tag team division than WWE.
They got Hobbs and Starks also got Swerve n Keith

You could take the worse teams in AEW, throw in 1 top team like FTR or Lucha Bros, and they would still have a better tag team division than wwe. Tag team wrestling in wwe has been dead. Its corps is only brought back when Vince has nothing for a few tops star and throw them in makeshift teams.
The Gunn boys will be a major heel tag team like the modern Edge and Christian or the Dudley boys, that could be the long term rivals to FTR. The acclaimed can turn face have some tag title success and continue being over.
This should have been where Bowens gets out the chair.

-Bowens jumps in to make the save
- Billy Gunn stops him and knocks him out and stands with his sons.
Not much else would’ve be needed you get the Gunn club with heat and The acclaimed they the sympathy, we’re ready to see this feud

These four guys got themselves over, please eliminate all TV time for the Dark Order, Best Friends-hell even the Lucha Bros-and let these two groups have a lengthy program. Don’t short circuit it only to have them feed to one of the above mentioned folks or the Bucks, Swerves, etc. These guys could be mainstays for a looong time.

my husband and I attended a wrestling show in hanover PA like 4 years ago where Billy gunn and Austin gunn teamed up for the main event - the match was great and back then we could tell how good austin was. hopefully with their dad in the company, the gunn club's booking will stay halfway decent 🙏
