Apparently Aquaman rivals Superman and Wonder Woman in strength, and the major reason people think he sucks is because of the Hanna-Barbera cartoon they made of him years ago, and he hasn't been able to break out of that stigma as a character.
Well no, his physical strength *DEFINITELY* isn't on the level of goddamn *_SOUPYMAN_* but he *DOES* have a significant degree of super-duper strength and it *DOES* rival the likes of Diana The Wonderful Woman. He also _does_ have an impressive power-set and he has had lots of very entertaining comic book runs that were just as engaging as any other superhero's comics. His Atlantean physiology makes him built to handle surviving at the ocean's deepest points and move through water as quickly as we move around on land. So his skin is incredibly durable, literally bulletproof and most knives/swords can't cut him. He's got crazy super-strength due to how powerful his muscles need to be for him to move around the ocean with such ease. And consider: when we're in the water, we move incredibly slowly because of how the water causes so much resistance. But he can move in the water even faster than we can move around on dry land (he can swim at speeds of 10,000 feet per second). In the water. So imagine how quick he can move on dry land when he doesn't have to fight against the resistance of the water. Not The Flash tier, but certainly faster than any normal human by a wide margin. And also lightning reflexes too. And also the whole can breathe under water and telepathically control all ocean life thing. And he's also the King of Atlantis. Also he and Mera had a baby boy together and Black Manta fucking MURDERED HIM just to torment Aquaman. Murdered a baby that was less than 1 year old just because he hated its father.
My best friend growing up loved Aquaman. He would constantly whine about how people underestimate the power of tsunamis or the fact that there's more ocean than land on earth. "I'd like to see Batman fight 30m tidal waves filled with megs and giant squid." He refused to go see the movies though. Aquaman is actually my favorite superhero. I used to just see him as the fish guy until the first Injustice game where they presented him as a badass. From there I looked into the character and I saw he was more than the joke the 60s painted him as. I like how he's essentially an oceanic Black Panther as in they're both heroes, kings, and diplomats of these hidden and advanced civilization who introduces their kingdom to the global scene and fights to ensure prosperity for all parties. Plus as a Hispanic American who grew up Americanized, I kinda got the whole being from two worlds thing with his roots, Atlantis, initially rejecting him. I used to get flack with "what kinda Mexican are you" being so common. So yea, oddly enough I can relate to Aquaman of all people lol The first movie was solid, yes nothing ground breaking but it was simple fun. Not every film, especially super hero movies need to be deep (pun intended). However, the second film was a downgrade with them trying to look for any excuse to drop a punchline and the CGI looked noticeably worse than the first movie that actually had great visuals (surprisingly). And then yea, I'm glad I never played this shipwreck of a game lol
I have to say despite how jank it looks at times the hair physics in this game is shockingly advanced for 2003. It honestly puts to shame a lot of modern games with their ultra static Xtreme hold gel style hairdos.
Aquaman is a half-blood outcast, a king, a hero, a justice league member, a husband, a father and a role model. And unlike most heroes, the lives of Arthur Curry and Aquaman are not separate. It is expected of him to play all these roles, sometimes at the same time. Sometimes he succeeds, but often he does not. It is fascinating from a storytelling perspective, if not a little unnerving. As a reader, you know the character is trying at his hardest to be as good as he can, and yet, despite his efforts, he often still fails. I can empathize, and most of all, unfortunately relate. That is what I believe it might be most appealing about him. He's not just fascinating by virtue of the lore and and aesthetic surrounding his inner world, he's not just complex and multifaceted by virtue of all the rules he must play, he's also someone who's easy to connect to, by virtue of his struggles being very personal. Aquaman is not about an underwater king of an underwater city. Aquaman is not about a mystical outcast with a contentious relationship with the justice league. Aquaman is about a man who's trying his hardest to be the best possible every single day. About a man of two worlds, who dreams of the day these two people can live amicably and with no prejudices. About a world where all, including himself, are accepted for what they are with no judgement. But most of all, Aquaman is about a man. Not a hero, not a king, but someone who tries to be both while still building a life for himself. That is the side of him i like the most, and which I feel is most neglected. The way I see it, usually, when people talk about Aquaman, it's always about either how his powers are ridiculous, or about how he's an underrated badass: And while it is somewhat true, the truth doesn't have to lie in the extremes. Badassery and ridiculousness are part of the character's core. It is, after all, a comic book, and that's how it usually is for comic books. Where Aquaman differs is that the mockery has become part of his narrative also. Not just the audience, but other characters themselves, are used to think lowly of him: And that, of course, is annoying. But that doesn't stop him from trying as much as he can to change the world and the image of his people. Aquaman is a “beloved hero" because he's not a beloved hero in the first place. He belongs to the bottom, literally and figuratively. But that doesn't stop him from being who is. He is, at his core, not a king who commands respect, or the moral paragon of heroism, but a man. A humble, down-to-earth kind of man who must bear the weight of two worlds over his shoulders. Him being underrated is part of what makes him so appealing, for it's part of his journey and makes his newfound popularity all the more earned. He is, figuratively and sometimes literally, swimming against the tide, high enough to the point he might be able yo reach the Heavens. But that is not and never was his goal. His goal is to reach mankind. And that journey is what makes him so compelling to follow.
To be fair, the Aquaman movie wasn't totally bad. It was visually interesting and story wasn't egregiously bad. I was honestly surprised what they managed to make from the source material.
Most of these licensed games back then released consistently on PS2 and PS3 so it doesn't make much sense to grab them for other systems unless there is a specific feature to a Gamecube or Xbox port or they're rare to find like Teen Titans for the original Xbox which goes for $150 minimum. Aquaman is a weird exception.
Aquaman is pretty cool, he is king of atlantis, is as strong as wonder woman, and controls hordes of unspeakable creatures of the depths, but a lot of modern day Aquaman stuff is less about talking to fish and fighting villains of the week and more about the back stabby politics of Atlantis, the struggle of being a man of 2 worlds (human and atlantean), and occasionally fighting eldritch horrors. He is a great character utterly ruined by the meme that follows him around. Flashpoint is a great example of how formidable and interesting Aquaman can be (even though he takes up a villain role in the story).

If this game was like Kingdom hearts; exploring colorful and differents parts of the ocean, using magic, meeting likable characters and scary villains, finding treasure to collect (Armors for Aquaman; one who makes him swim faster, one for controling water, one for calling a dolphin or a squid to help you fight etc.) it would be so fun! You two gotta experience the different characters and skateboarding in like Andy’s room from Toy Story, scars lair, the jungle from Tarzan and sooo many more! Also it was made by the Activision and Toys for Bob so like realllly need I say anything else if Bob is involved 😂
As an Aquaman fan, I would say my fondness of the character centers around the political aspect of the character. I loved in the arc "Sub-diego" where Aquaman essentially becomes a governing force for a new group of water breathers, advocating for them against his own people whom treat new breathers as half human citizens. That being said, the films are absolutely the opposite of what makes aquaman interesting, throwing away the man between two worlds angst in favor of a funny jason mamoa cracking jokes. Also the second movie should have def killed the Aquababy like in death for a prince.
The Aquaman movie has like one good part in it when Mera and Arthur are fighting fish zombies on a boat and then the dive into the water and the fish people form a funnel going after them. Other that that, this movie stunk like said fish zombies.
I don't like superheroes, but Aquaman was unironically my dad's favorite superhero when he was a kid. I didn't believe him when he told me the first time, but he's said it so much that I don't know what to think anymore xD
If it makes anyone feel better, I went to see Aquaman 2 in theatres on Christmas, at a Movie Tavern, with a family of 6. Lets just say the best part was the pizza.

Please play Oddworld: Munch's Odysee or 007 Nightfire/Agent Under Fire! They were huge games of my childhood and all three are straight BANGERS!
the foreshadowing on the battlefront collection really hurt
I demand a good Aquaman game. He's a great character and if they do it right it could be an all-time classic.
I love your content so much! I’m new to your channel and I’ve whatched everything! Thank you 🙏🏽
'Why is that guy wearing bacon' made me laugh so much.
them talking about addicting games and miniclip brings me back. Shockwave was also an awesome flash game website
I actually did watch this on a big TV and I thank you for acknowledging my nauseating and painful experience seeing this game
@MindPulp5. You're not very good at this
Disneys Extreme Skate Adventure needs to be played by you guys! You two gotta experience the different characters and skateboarding in like Andy’s room from Toy Story, scars lair, the jungle from Tarzan and sooo many more! Also it was made by the Activision and Toys for Bob so like realllly need I say anything else if Bob is involved 😂
“I’m gonna be sick”
Me too, guys. So quickly got nausea from this game.
Aquaman in the comics is actually really cool, he's my favorite in the DC side of things.
I'm a Batman guy, but Aquaman was always, uh, interesting.
This is a nightmare for someone with motion sickness
The Aquaman movie has like one good part in it when Mera and Arthur are fighting fish zombies on a boat and then the dive into the water and the fish people form a funnel going after them. Other that that, this movie stunk like said fish zombies.
Bro got beef
Been binging your channel all day and this is the best one yet so hilarious
You should play Jet Li Rise To Honor for the PS2.
Try "Time Splitter 2", it was one of my favorite games as a kid. It had a team death match, with a zombie virus, my brother and I spent many hours over the years playing
The underwater version of Superman 64, and it's made by the same guys who made that infamous N64 game. You guys should play Superman Man Of Steel in the Xbox.
When I seen the bit where you were “swimming” and had a time limit to throw away bombs, instantly I was thinking the Aquaman game is pretty much Superman 64 😂
I owned this game
I do not remember anything except “this game existed” and “submarine level.”
Lol i was hoping youd get the hilarious hair fizzicks glitch where the top of aquamans head clips thru the hair and he looks like vintage hulk hogan of the deep sea.
Hulk Hogan vs Kane
Your channel is now one of my favorites to watch
Can we just talk about how this looks similar to the terrible superman game except it has that weird combat
Bruh please a Godzilla save the earth game for ps2
I like how aqua man’s main villain is a guy in a rip off iron man suit
Believe it or not the first Aquaman movie made $1 billion
Atlantis wasn't "built" under water 😭😭 😂 According to legend it sank lol
😢🎉🎉
Mind Pulp: "CGI has to equal a bad movie guys. :o"
To be honest my favourite Auquaman was the brave and the bold xoxoxo something about characters from that series just hit me down in the heart xoxoxo
Why does he swim like he's holding something in the entire time😂 , also the fact he just punches and kicks the enemies despite being aquaman while KFC man hangs out watching 🕺, got so many questions that shall never be answered
Y'all should consider playing Bioshock, or Bioshock 2 so you can use the drill for extra, memery.
After you mentioned it in this video I think that'd be a fun 'good game' to tackle
As soon as he said wrestling towards Grombo i knew immediately what he was talking about 😂
I feel so insulted when they asked if Aquaman is my fav character and i was literally gonna type because he can control fish.
“It turns into a fighting game, an easy ass …. Ow ow ow”
Aquaman movie was not good.. blows my mind it made so much money..
I was actually a huge fan of the frist Aquaman movie with Jason Mamoa.
