You forgot one of the biggest issues with online games. They either continue to exist for ages after taking over the industry becoming less and less recognizable to the point that the early adopters no long play the game or the servers get shut down after a few years and the game is no longer playable in any form. The live service model is cancer to game preservation.

I think this game is probably the ladder. Seems like it'll turn out worse than Marvel's Avengers, at least that game had potential and looked okay, this had next to no potential, looks awful and shat on Kevin Conroy's legendary role after Kevin died a few years ago. It probably has a year, two years tops before they pull the plug.

@@mechadeka Yeah same, I saw no immersion here. Honestly the trailers look fake, because the game itself looks like Play-Doh with some shaders on. Sucks because the originals came out on the PS3 decades ago and somehow look 1000x better. Rocksteady fell from grace, man.

It's a really fun game with a good story and lots of easter eggs Rocksteady is known for. It's not a bad game at all ans the gameplay is quite fun once you get more abilities and upgrades and learn how the characters work. Plus the loot is actually useful and not just random things with arbitrary numbers so you actually know what it does and you can fit things to your playstyle more.
There are thing they could improve but it's not a BAD game. Even "average" is still good and there's been worse games. Everyone has different opinions and if you want 10 more copies of the same olf Arkham games, people aren't going to get them because companies need new stories and games and nee characters to play as 😂 It's actually fun playing as the villains for once!

I played a crappy indie FPS that had a bug that skipped one entire level. Never seen a game that had a bug where the game completed itself. Great job WB Games.

Wow, that bit at 6:39. If you go frame-by-frame you can see they spawn in 100% alive, and instantly collapse. It totally looks like whatever triggered that UI pop-up also triggered the enemies to spawn? What a masterpiece.

I think ending the video on the complete lackluster way the Flash fight ends is pretty fitting, they do pretty much nothing with the concept of fighting evil superheroes and just go with "Shoot the waypoint enough times"

Imagine if that was the whole game. The section where Batman is hunting you. They could have done a type of heist-style game, where you the Squad, go against maybe another team, and then two heroes are thrown in the mix to stop you.

I don't understand why people say it's "disrespectful" when it really shows both Batman and Bruce Wayne. In the game he has protocols and messages for the rest of his family and you get to experience his emotion and also what it's like being on the other side of Batman for once and it's a really cool experience! They did a great job and you can tell it's definitely still an Arkham game with all the Easter eggs and callbacks they have

If they actually went with what the squad is known for and had the team have at least one underrated powerhouse like Polka Dot Man or even Grant Morrison it'd both be more plausible and fun. They don't even do anything clever or use their powers creatively, they just us a gizmo that deactivates powers then shoot each member. More than anything it's boring

This definitely feels like if this game was made with Amazon's "The Boys™" instead of DC, it would have been received a bit better. It definitely has that dark-"comedy" bend.

This game had an unusual effect on me. It made me yearn for the simpler times of comic book heroes. When heroes lacked nuance and were perfect, goody two-shoes boy scouts that wore bright colors and always smiled. The world is dark and depressing, and our superheroes don't need to reflect that. I want heroes that radiate positivity and good vibes, and maybe they'll rub off on humanity.

Did anyone else think that Green Lantern and Deadshot were going to be revealed to be related? They kept mentioning that there was another dead shot and the way GL kept calling him, convict like he was a disappointment to the family it seemed like an interesting twist but it never happened.

The point of Suicide Squad used to be that the government used villains to do their dirty work when the mission was too dirty to admit involvement. They probably could've made an awesome game about that. Like imagine a game version of Gunn's The Suicide Squad.

On the plus side, the Rocksteady founders have abandoned ship and founded a new studio, Hundred Star Games. So there is still hope of Rocksteady working on future games, just not under the name “Rocksteady”.

it's above average for me personally, I'm finding it super addictive. a lot more fun than I thought it would be and the graphics also look much better than I was expecting. Love the mood of it, the traversal is super fun, story mode excellent. the mood also feels to me very similar to the batman Arkham games, loved them to death. And this change in gameplay is fine, it's like if Left 4 Dead and Sunset Overdrive had a baby and I think it's just cool to get to play an Arkham game like that for a change of pace. And the riddler challenges are super fun. awesome boss fights. And I'm having fun just playing it as a single player experience

If I had a nickel for every game set in the DC universe where Brainiac is the main villain and evil versions of the Justice League play a main part in the story, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happened twice.

i enjoyed the game, the story and combat carry it, became a bit repetitive but it’s definitely NOT the end of the world like social media would make you believe, solid 6,7/10.
