This was my favorite line from the video and one of the reasons why I watch him. He's not trying to be anything other than what he is. What you see is what you get and I will take thst anyday over a pretentious, plastic person. I'm so happy for Bob that he can stand up inside his home. I'm 68 and I couldn't crawl around in a van with my knees but I can live in a 5th wheel. I wish him many new adventures in his new home..

When we moved to the USA 30 years ago my wife and I lived in a basement with no windows for 17 years and we installed giant posters very similar at yours and we enjoyed the “view” very much. We love your curtains !!!

I absolutely love the curtains and how they each can draw you into the scene. They offer you the peace of guided imagery without closing your eyes while allowing your senses to experience your minds path on the tail of your choosing! Awesome!!

I know I’m 3 years late to the comments but after watching you now these past few months, whatever brings you joy is such a well deserved blessing. What I like about conversions is we do them to our own tastes. Our builds reflect our individual personalities. Looks great Bob. You do you!
I love the curtains! You can just trade them out if you want a "change of scenery". This is one of the simplest and smartest solutions I've seen to hide the unavoidable clutter that small spaces create.

Thank you for inviting us into your home. I like the curtains. They're scenes of nature and have a calming effect to them. As a writer myself I can see where gazing on them while working would be peaceful - especially days when you can't be outside. It beats looking at clothes and food stuff and makes it homey for you.

I think when you surround yourself with things you love to see...it always takes you to a place of peace and comfort...so as long as the curtains remind you of things you love, it could never be wrong ... enjoy your life Bob...We love you! So many times watching "builds" I have thought that it would have been more economical and faster to put up curtains for insulation and decoration.

@@drillsergeant5338 I agree with you, as Google says the average ambulance gets 4.5 mpg and they use them for 250,000 miles, and then they need a major overhaul. I don't know what kind of deal Bob got, as he said it had low mileage, but to him that might be 250K.

Like anyone’s home- we all have our own style- what makes us comfortable and happy. It doesn’t matter what anyone else likes or dislikes. It’s great that you found curtains of landscapes and nature that lets you”look out at nature” while you’re working or just relaxing. You have lots of room and many places to store your stuff. The ambulance is a fantastic option for your RV home. Congratulations!

Wow, so much room and storage. I like the curtains. I believe that a person should be looking at something that makes them feel good. It is a benefit to all for people to feel good.
Awesomely cool.... Bob if it talks to you and your liking that's what's most important. They are beautiful works of art . Very functional and purposeful.. here's another thought.. I have some curtains that are dear to me . Picturesque so to speak.. I'm planning on utilizing them in my eventual build. I'm planning on using them instead to form a wall to mask my showering/HYGIENE area in which I want to be able to covert to indoor outdoor space..still working on that plan but the idea thought was to create a privacy area where if I wanted to have an outdoorsy showering spot ..
My husband once got me a keychain, “An organized desk is the sign of a confused mind!” Cluttered says to me busy, happy, productive! I absolutely love the curtains! I’d absolutely do that!!! It’s art with a function, it adds privacy because belongings can be stored, like your shirts, and not be on display, it’s a little extra insulation, it adds depth and interest to a small space. I can probably go on but you get the idea! I think they are great!

The curtains look wonderful!
Imagine the housekeeping work he's saving himself by keeping the dust from getting in & on all those shelves & surfaces. Having the curtains catch the dust is so smart. Easier to wash a few curtains than to get in all those cracks & crevices!😉👍

Ive see other ambulance interiors and thought how fantastic the storage was, but felt it would be too clinical for me. You’ve found the solution. Curtains to match your taste! You could swap them to reflect the different seasons, and you can even get fireplace shower curtains which would be great in the winter!
I'd swap sides on the 2 big ones, I like the snowy mountain seen a bit more!

I like the curtains a lot. I’m originally from the Pacific Northwest but ended up in SW Missouri but I miss the mountains so much. These would be awesome. Home sweet home.

Ah! I have a pillow for under my knees and a mech pillow. It’s a must just to be able to get up when needed.

Metal interior you wouldn't even need to drill holes to hang them! Just slap in some magnetic curtain rods, & you're good to go!

I absolutely love it. I have a small travel trailer. This makes me want to ditch it and get an 🚑 with some awesome curtains. So simple, so functional and so practical! My drawers in the camper have fallen apart 3 times already..the blinds are falling apart. Everytime I get in I find screws on the floor! That ambulance is built to last! Great choice Bob. Very impressive!!!

I don't know your curtains are kind of different that's for sure but one thing I do like about them is the color I love the colors on them that's for sure I got a tree on the other side of my street here is starting to turn colors looks like the trees on fire it's so pretty anyway yeah I like the curtains are all right I mean I wouldn't put them up at different colors but still you know to each his own but I don't know I like the colors well Bob I'll tell you what I sure like your I like your your spot here and you know what you do for people and everything and all the important things you do you're the one that gets me into wanting to go living in an RV or a van and I think I can do it but I don't have the money for one but one thing I can do cuz I'm living on Social Security and that's it and you know that's not very much and I'm saving up now to get me a pull trailer I'm trying to get one for about $1,000 then I'm going to hook it up to my my SUV I got RX300 Lexus so it's a 2003 but it runs great but anyway I'm going to try it though I'm 63 and I'm damn sure going to get on the road here sooner or later that's for sure but you know what God bless and all the luck to you you've been a great inspiration thank you very much bye-bye

I have a curtain with a picture of a deer in the woods on my double door back wall. It’s a blessing to help cut sun coming in and keeps bugs out when doors are open and still let a breeze in around the edges. It also acts as a privacy curtain at night and for other personal things like a sponge bath. I love yours and I’m looking at your links right now. I kept the industrial gray original cabinets. They are too useful to just take out and it’s such a money and time saver. I love my ambulance.

Practical. Pleasing to the eyes. Adds color. Easy to maintain. Easy to hide what you don't company to see. Easy to redecorate, just rotate locations. Easy to clean. Softens the light. Takes away from the clinical beginnings of the vehicle. Claims the home as "mine". I like it.

I think putting curtains up to cover the sterile and industrial look of the ambulance was a brilliant idea for those who don’t want to spend big bucks doing a massive interior overhaul. It is interesting how living in a small space make you constantly pick and chose what you keep. I think everyone makes different decisions and what I think I absolutely need someone else doesn’t care about.
It's very, very intentional living. You become hyper aware of your own carbon footprint and can feel really good about minimizing it!
Your curtains are brilliant! I thought of using them to separate spaces in a cargo trailer as well as stuffing pillow cases with off season clothing and linens for pillows! The imagination requires 'no build' as you show in your minivan home examples. Blessings to you as you bless others.

So simple, so complete, and so functional. I think a lot of us like to see the fancy, pretty builds, but ngl, the more I see of them, the more daunting the work and expense of actually doing them seems. There is something so affirming and reassuring about seeing how easily you’ve put together what works for you, and seeing how well it obviously does.

Great video, Bob! I’ve been looking into a type 3 ambulance - as a solo female, I really want the pass-through to the cab, so I don’t need to get out of the vehicle to drive away in an emergency. As you know, a 4x4 type 3 is almost impossible to find. I love the curtains! I agree - it doesn’t make much sense to rip out all of those super-useable shelves, but the curtains definitely take the sterile edge off of the interior. I also really like all of the outside compartments that ambulances have. I would love to see a video on your solar setup, as I also would like to have a microwave, fridge, and a toaster(!). Thanks, again. ✨💖✨
