Hey, Ms. Kim!! I work for Kohl's and know for a fact that when Kohl's Cash "expires" you have ten more days to use it at the store before it's totally expired. Just an FYI. Merry Christmas!!!

I'm 28 with no kids and not sure I want/can have kids. My husband and I aren't in a rush to make a decision, but it feels like society wants to rush us. I really enjoy watching family vloggers to understand what life is like with kiddos. You're one of my favs because I feel like I can get an HONEST experience which I'm endlessly grateful for.

Take your time, girl! People rush my sister too who is also 28, soon to be 29. She ignores every last one of them lol. Having kids are a blessing, but it's also a blessing to enjoy life with your partner!

First off...I just recently found your channel and I love you so much! So...phase of life you ask?? Well, I just turned 63...I raised two daughters alone (widow)...who are now 33 and 37. The 37-year-old had two boys...the oldest is 5 and the youngest just turned 3. The oldest is autistic, so that adds a whole new level!! I've been the legal guardian of the oldest since he was 1 1/2 and the youngest since the day he was born. I guess what I'm trying to say is do NOT think this phase is over and done...it can creep back around and life can really surprise you! Man makes plans and God laughs...never have I known that to be so true!! But...they are my heart and I wouldn't have it any other way. God bless you for putting a little laughter in my day...and never forget lady, you are a ROCK STAR! :)

I have 7 babies… 19, 18, 16, 14, 12, almost 9, and almost 7. My oldest graduated from high school the same year my youngest started kindergarten. I’m finally at the phase you’re referring to, where I can do more without having any littles to worry about. They can all feed themselves and wipe their own butts (😋😂)BUT… I will tell you, while it DOES get easier with no babies dependent on you 24/7, it is a trade off, because teenagers are just as difficult and time consuming. Babies know nothing and need you for everything, teenagers know everything and need you for nothing (🙄😵‍💫), so it really never ends. So I definitely know where you’re coming from, and while you yearn for the next phase (I did too), don’t rush it. Today you can hold them in your arms, tomorrow they’re grown and preparing to move out on their own.

Since you asked…. I have four children, one from each decade! First born in 1969, 1972, 1981 and 1997! Yep 50 years of hands on mom-dom! Also had three extended family boys live with me throughout their school years. They are all grown up and out of the house. Empty nest took a bit to get used to…. I volunteered, joined, did everything ….. over did everything. I didn’t know how to slow down or say “no”….. finally got it together…. Love watching TH-cam, doing art, socializing with “girl friends”….. that’s the one thing I didn’t know how much I missed. Life is good. ❤

For the *addresses on envelopes* you could get those Avery labels at Staples and they have a template on Microsoft Word where you type out the address and then print them onto the labels. PLUS as a bonus you only have to create it once and each year you can add or subtract people from your Christmas card list. Saves SO much time. ❤

Then God said, "Nope, here's one more!" We're so thankful, but man we're doing it all over again!

Hey Kim! I also have 5 kids ages 15 to 6. I was 39 when I got pregnant with my last baby. It was harder on my body at that point and I knew he was my last. I love that my kids are older and can enjoy things that we do. Definitely don't miss getting up in the middle of the night. But on the other hand I do miss those baby snuggles. Every phase is different and you have to find the beauty in it.

I'm at the stage of motherhood that doesn't get talked about much. I have two daughters, Kendrix 24, married and working on getting her masters and Nadine 21 in college. But I have found this part of life is a little lonely. They don't come home as much as I would like. And this time of year some of our old Christmas traditions have to get done by just me and I miss having them home to help with stuff. No one really talks about the feelings that come with your kids getting older and getting married and starting their adult life. Don't get me wrong I am so very proud of both of them and the wings I help make are working wonderfully. I just miss having the day to day things with them! That is why I love watching you helps me remember the things I did when my girls were young. ❤

OMG! The making new friends awkwardness! I felt that in my soul! I was dropping my son off at pre-k and found myself talking to another mom. First just quick comments about the weather and whatnot, but the more we talked the more I was like 'She gets me!'! We have the same anxieties, our kids do the same stupid stuff, we like a lot of the same niche things, and her son is in the same class with my son! I remember driving home with a big dumb smile and talked to my hubby (who works from home) and cheered "I made a friend!!....sort of." Cause like, how DO I ask for her socials without coming off as weird? And what if she doesn't want to be friends with me? UGH! -_- And now that the weather is getting colder she hibernates in her car and I don't get to talk to her! X(

@@joannasaadati8810 there is an app called Meetup. My kids are now 10 and 7, so I'm in a different stage and I used the app when my oldest was a newborn, but the app still exists. But at the time, I didn't have family around cause I lived in a different state and I made lifelong friends through it. Just look up mom's groups in your local area. And have some confidence. Regardless of an app.. you can just ask for their number and explain maybe you can have a playdate sometime. A lot of moms are in the same boat, that's also how I've met mom friends as my kids are now school age.

Looking back... I"m in my 60's now and raised my son all alone. It was terribly lonely so I say don't hesitate - write a note on a little card like "hey, if you ever just want to hang out or grab coffee, I'd be all in" and give her your number. As I got older I became more confident in taking risks like that and ended up with some really great friendships. If you never hear from her, no big deal :-).

Yes to all of what you're saying about final babies etc. I've had 7 babies - thought we were done at 5, then had a 6th (a son) who passed away after 49 minutes of life 💙, then had one more who was a ginormous breech baby boy and had a csection. Then I turned 40. 🥴 so - 5 boys, 2 girls ages 13, 10, 7, 6, 5, a would-be 2 yr old, and 8 months. Realized I am so, so done, but grieving this childbearing time of life being over. It really is a miraculous thing, which is part of why I enjoy you so much. Such great perspective on birth and motherhood. You are an inspiration! I love the way you cook and I now love serving roasted veggies after seeing you do it. You are doing great, even if you feel like you're drowning. "What if I regret a permanent BC method?" But as time went on and the hormones settled down I felt so completely sure that we were 100% done. Our family is complete and I am totally at peace with our decision and excited for the next stage of our lives. Trips where I can actually relax for more than two seconds without someone needing something, a locked door in the bathroom, a quiet shower where I don't have to rush, big and small things. I had 2 boys then when we had an empty nest had a surprise! 19year gap between my middle son and my daughter who is now 3. Meredith and her would be great buddies! Having been through the process before, it was great having freedom. Starting all back over again has been exhausting - especially at an older age (42 when she was born) plus she is STILL NURSING!!
