Another nice video, l've spent many an hour wondering around the MBK doing a bit of last minute gift shoping. You're quite right it's not as authentic as a 'local markets' but it's less faceless than the more high end malls across the road.

I think MBK is great to do gift shopping, price is not so much different from local market when it comes to souvenir, plus shopping there could be more pleasant as the weather is too hot and hudmid outside to shop in local market, especially when the pollution issue in Bangkok is no joke nowadays.....

MBK is awesome !! As you discovered, there is a lot of fake electronic stuff, but if you are in need of something like a charger or power adapter, etc, that's the place to go. Lot's of cheap handicrafts on the 3rd floor, all the way at the end. Good place to buy cheap souvenirs for friends back home, although Chatuchak Market is even cheaper. Definitely check out Chatuchak. I have that whole place memorized I've been there so many times !!

They have a DJI store in this mall at MBK but if you are in the states i would suggest Amazon. They are a lot cheaper. Cameras and Drones tend to be more expensive here for some reason. I am actually surprised!

Hi! Jimmy and Tah, I've been watching a lot of travel vloggers online including yours while visiting Cebu recently and got really entertained by them. I'm back home in California now but planning to go back again later this year or early next year and visit more places in the Philippines. The next time you visit the Philippines, I would suggest making Cebu your home base since it's centrally located and you could pretty much go anywhere from there cheaply like flying to Siargao in Mindanao or taking a ferry to neighboring island of Bohol. I know you've already been to southern Cebu but up north you can go for an island hop to beach areas of Bantayan and Malapascua. The apartment rent in Cebu will probably be a little higher than Dumaguete but I'm sure you'll find a bargain if you stay just outside the city center. However, like in many cities try to stay away from rough areas. Cebu has so much history and places to see such as Magellan's cross, old churches, Mactan Island and several huge malls for shopping and entertainment. Cebu's roast pig (lechon) is the best in the country. One setback though is the heavy traffic like in Manila during weekdays and peak times. BTW, there are non stop flights from Bangkok to Cebu. Looking forward to seeing your upcoming videos.

And yes they have some fake products over there but it is a market inside(never seen such big market inside) so yeah. But surprising to me that you guys did not go to the big food market inside because you guys always talk about and do some eating :P.
Hey Alfred ! We did go to the food court but we did not really film much there because we were so hungry, not even talked to each others a lot too, just ate hahah. The food court there is pretty impressive tho, the price is not that expensive for the fact that it is famous for tourists, plus the thai dessert there is awesome, I (Tah) love Lod-Chong there a lot omg i don't wanna tell you how many Lod-Chong i ate 😂
Lol you ate 4 desserts :P? But at least they tasted good and the price did also not make a big dent in your budget. But yeah that food court is amazing and big. I think this one of off the larger 1 I know

Divert Living It was last 2014 that I was last at MBK. It had changed a bit from my years from 1986 - 2003. But, it always sold nice, but cheap, items, and ALOY MAAK food, heheheh! :)

Can you tell me which Apple shop in Bangkok that are legit and safe to go to that I could fix my MacBook Pro which works fine, but I have a keyboard issue ? I do not want to risk anything by going to those shops at MBK, so I wanted to hear your experience with Apple product issues on expensive devices (like a high-end/expensive MacBook Pro model)... I am referring to English dialog, technical expertise and quality repair, and prices.

I think we have the same type of mall here in PH, which is Greenhills, where there are a lot of knock-off brands for a cheaper price. Cheaper price for Foreigners but not that cheap for locals. But if you know how to bargain then you'd be okay. :)

If you plan on going to Italy or France don't take any counterfeit items with you as they will be confiscated and you will get a huge fine. It is against the law in both those countries to try and enter customs with fake items. Both these countries take this very seriously. It happened to a friend of mine

When you do come back, if you can, check out the World's longest zip line - or maybe the 2nd longest, by now - in the Dahilayan Forest Park, Bukidnon Province in Mindanao. Also, check out Bohol's Chocolate Hills, and the Word's smallest primate, the Tarsier. Then, head off to the northern island of Luzon. See the Banaue Rice Terraces, the Hanging Coffins of Sagada, the summer capital Baguio - quite cool up there, actually, with its pine trees and strawberries (brrrrrrr!), and Taal Volcano, on Taal Lake, in very relaxing and scenic Tagaytay. Also, see Coron, the Underwater River, El Nido - all on Palawan Island. Then, party island at white beach Boracay. Still, there are more places to see and experience here in the Philippine Islands. (Just research on these places before you decide to visit, of course.) Divert Living, you both take care, now, wherever you go in your travels. MABUHAY!!!

Hi Jonnie, it is quite expensive at this mall compared to the other local market, Jimmy got one of his sunglasses in Dumaguete for just 50 peso, really cheap there, In thailand the cheapest i have ever found for sunglasses price is 1.5 dollar haha
