AWESOME CONTENT! Was just pondering what kind of sweep options I have when on the bottom and opponent decides to stand up. now just need a training partner to train these with
Truly Amazing!! Ive been doing Bjj for 3 years and your explaintions and scenarios are spot on! Most guys will show a move or 2 but I like the way you show reaction to certain moves also. Thank you So much and please continue to keep making Videos. So far I have loved them all
This video is amazing for a newbie like me who is starting out, giving me a good insight of what to do when I'm against a standing opponent! Thank you. But I was wondering if you can make a video about answer to opponents that are already on the ground while you are standing
Some of the best JJ technique demonstration videos I’ve seen ever. Very helpful content. Can’t wait to apply these in class eventually. Keep up the great work. I’m grateful for the amazing content! Mahalo nui loa
@@KnightJiuJitsu I sent you an email a couple of weeks ago. I fixed the audio on one of your older videos that was super quiet and sent you the file. I hope it got through to you ok.
Knight Jiu-Jitsu My preasure. I'm teacher of the Brazilian Luta livre and blue belt of BJJ and I wanna learn every day because i love grappling. Your channel help-me a lot. Thank's and congratulations.
One of the best solutions I've seen is the De La Riva X guard that Charles Oliveira uses. I've played with it a lot in my sparring and it's great for tying them up so they lose mobility, but keep them unbalanced so they can't throw bombs. It really turns the tide so the person on the bottom is now the offensive position, and the person on top's best moves mostly involve escaping. The other sweeps are great and I've gotten a lot of use from them, but a lot of times, the issue is the opponent's mobility compared to the guy on bottom and when you can't control their mobility they have a lot of ability to just drop into your guard with heavy bombs or worse, against a cage, start stacking you where you can't move your hips because you are pinned. The De La Riva X guard seems to be more effective at dealing with those issues. Also, because your opponent has to work a lot harder to escape it, if they do pull free, it makes it easier to do a technical stand up because they are more committed to getting freed.
The double leg sweep the first one you shown I like to put both legs on the opposite side of opponent then go for side control then mount if available I think you might not get into trouble with opponents leg locks after sweeping him
Thank you! I get in the positions where I'm hugging the leg of someone and normally its a more advanced guy cuz I set it up with a arm drag. Just never knew how to technically sweep or submit from there.
Just stumbled upon this gem, great video. A word of advice -select your white balance before recording avoid using autoWB that is why your video turns red, green and orange. Great content.
Brother if you want to fix the coloring problem that happening while you are shooting the video make the color mode manual and fix it on white paper from the beginning. all the best from Egypt and Qatar.
Amazing, did something like that last night, so checked today, do you have a video on BJJ same side sleeve and lapel take downs, into triangle and armbar, maybe oma palata too not sure. Everything i needed on one video here mmmm :DD ( think my one was one foot on the hip the other on the other side bicep)

That means a lot to me. Thank you!
The best coach of BJJ and self defence of the whole roster. Period!
Wow! That’s a really nice compliment. Thank you.
That triangle set up is sick...
It seemed too complicated for me
@Michael Jagger yup, if you don't get one, you probably (most likely, almost sure) will not be able to pull it off in a real fight
Bro I almost fell out of my seat on that setup! Sheeeeeeeeeesh!
Basics are so valuable I am blown away how overlooked they are.
Amazing! Thank you for demonstrating these moves! They were so helpful, thank you!

That’s a good idea. It would go along with guard passing too. Thanks and I’ll see what I can do!
