3d printer X Y Z AXIS Homing problem FIX -Marlin 1.1.9,MKS GEN L V1.0
In this video will see how to fix 3d printer X Y Z AXIS Homing problem in Marlin 1.1.9.Recently i updated my 3d printer MKS GEN L v1.0 Board with Marlin 1.1.9.everything working fine Except Homing.when try to home any axis its not going correct direction its going in opposite direction.so i searched for solution internet gone through forums and etc.finally i found solution in reprap.org forum .in this forum they discussing about similar problem like.
they said eg find and change
"#define Z_MIN_ENDSTOP_INVERTING false // set to true to invert the logic of the endstop."
so i searched in my configuration file for this line and changed x y z axis endstop logic false to True.because i have problem in 3 axis.
if you have problem in specific axis change only that particular axis .
for example if you have problem only in Y axis change only Y axis.

Oh my God! You saved me so much! I spent so much time trying to solve this. I couldn't even think to invert endstoppers because this is wierd. Thank you a lot! Now printing my first 3d-model on my hand-made RepRap printer.

Im so happy now. the way they word it I looked over it so many times and did not know it was the fix.
I fixed my problem by rewiring the limit switch moving the center wire to the other outside connection. Tested it first by taking off the switch and used a jumper wire. Found that this Xaxis limit needs to be normally closed until the limit is hit that switches the connection to open up.

I just fixed that, hanks. Now I have another problem: whenI tell it to move 1 mm, moves 10 mms. and 10 mms move 100 mms. Where do I remove a 0?

I have done as you did in this video but it doesn't recognize my end switch thus it tries to move forward. I didn't get it why it does like that
Hi may be faulty end switch . Try with other axis end switch.
And also check endswitch connected properly on motherboard. I mean 3 cables to proper pins on motherboards. All the best👍

hii. i have an error like this on my reprap printer. all axis on my 3d printer can move to (+) but can`t move reverse or (-) side. i have tried to connect all endstop for each axis and the problem still cant get fixed. please help me....

the homing seems like only moving 10mm per click. is there any way to change to auto go to endstop?
Hi,if its moving little then you must change end stop logic in marlin firmware as showed in this video.and also check steps for X Y Z axis .use reprap calculator to calculate steps.make sure steps are correct for all axis.let me know if you need any help.all the best
@@DiyDot3d Thankyou for the reply! it seems i found another problem. When I flash the software to the board, it seems there is nothing changed. I already changed in the marlin, but when i flash it, nothing changed.
Example: changing the direction of the homing. I followed your tutorial, but nothing changed after I flash it.
Another example: inverting the direction of X Y Z, nothing changed.
Is there any problem with the way I flash?

@@adrianbelano5541 #define Z_MIN_ENDSTOP_INVERTING false // set to true to invert the logic of the endstop ----you need to change this .first compile firmware so it will show if any errors.make sure it is uploaded successfully.it is always better keep copy of original firmware file.may be you have done some unwanted changes.its better to try with fresh copy of firmware adjust according to your printer configuration.important changes are steps based on your motor drivers(full steps or half steps).

@@DiyDot3d Yes, when I try to print something this error 'HOME Z FIRST' displays on the screen. The extruder doesn't move, the temperature decreases and the status bar fills very quickly. So the print stops without printing. All this time the Z coordinate flash and shows the coordinate 10 which doesn't change and a question mark. I mention until 2 days ago it worked perfectly. The problem starts after I noticed a blue screen when power the printer on. I tried to fix it buy inserting the SD card from the kit formatted and containing only the EEPROBE.DAT file which the card came with. After the menu appeared again this problem with the z axis appeared on the first print.
Try to install fresh firmware. Which printer are you using??
