wow man....it helped alot.i was thinking mine is MKS Gen L V2...it's a newer version.they must have it fixed . but no....i reversed connectors and ...boom.done.thanks alot man.i wonder why no one mentioning this in reprap wiki or github or forums...thanks for doing this vid. im so happy that it worked finally... :D

PD. if someone dont see any image after doing this check you dont have any other components connected to your board or connect to the PSU because this could have something to do with not showing the charactersfrom not enough energy

hi,you can do that but i don't want to mess with mother board.thats why i trimmed cables because these cables are cheap so you can get easily. connections should be like this: MKS: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 RepRap: 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 you can make custom cable by following these. thank you 🙂 All the best👍
Thanks for the great video, however i tried the trick but did not help to get it to my MKS Sgen_L v1.0 board, the screen only lights up and nothing displayed, its it something different for MKS SGEN_L v.10 board? Thanks in advance.
Hi it should work .did you uncomment #define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_FULL_GRAPHIC_SMART_CONTROLLER ?? and uploaded?? . both connectors lcd side rotate 180 degrees and connect for that you need to shave little to connect.check MKS board side make sure you connected to correct EXp1 Exp2 slots...if you miss any step it wont work.All The best

Where are all the firmware files? I inherited a printer and am just figuring it out. When I plug the board into my computer it’s not even recognized
