  • Deep stretches and massage techniques can offer several benefits for addressing tight hips:
Increased Flexibility: Deep stretches and massage can help lengthen and relax the muscles surrounding the hips, improving flexibility and range of motion. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals who experience stiffness or limited mobility in the hip joints.
Relief from Muscle Tension: Tight hips often result from muscular tension and tightness in the hip flexors, glutes, and surrounding muscles. Deep stretches and massage techniques can help release tension and tightness in these muscles, alleviating discomfort and promoting relaxation.
Improved Posture: Tight hips can contribute to poor posture, leading to imbalances and compensatory movements in the spine and pelvis. By addressing muscular tension and tightness in the hips, deep stretches and massage techniques can help restore proper alignment and posture, reducing strain on the spine and supporting overall musculoskeletal health.
Alleviation of Pain: Tight hips can cause pain and discomfort, especially when performing activities that require hip mobility, such as walking, running, or sitting for extended periods. Deep stretches and massage techniques can help alleviate pain by releasing tight muscles, improving circulation, and promoting tissue healing.
Prevention of Injury: Tight hips can increase the risk of injury, particularly during physical activities that require hip mobility and flexibility. By incorporating deep stretches and massage techniques into a regular self-care routine, individuals can help prevent injuries such as strains, sprains, and overuse injuries associated with tight hips.
Enhanced Performance: Athletes and active individuals can benefit from deep stretches and massage techniques to optimize hip flexibility, mobility, and performance. By maintaining optimal hip mobility, athletes can improve their athletic performance, agility, and movement efficiency, reducing the risk of injury and enhancing overall athletic success.
Stress Reduction: Like other forms of massage therapy, hip massage can promote relaxation and reduce stress levels by activating the parasympathetic nervous system. This can help alleviate tension held in the hips and surrounding muscles, promoting a sense of overall well-being and relaxation.
Improved Circulation: Massage techniques applied to the hips can stimulate blood flow to the muscles and surrounding tissues, promoting circulation and enhancing the delivery of oxygen and nutrients. Improved circulation can help reduce inflammation, support tissue healing, and alleviate pain associated with tight hips.
Overall, incorporating deep stretches and massage techniques into a regular self-care routine can help individuals alleviate tight hips, improve flexibility and mobility, reduce pain and discomfort, and support overall hip health and well-being. However, it's essential to consult with a qualified healthcare professional or certified massage therapist to determine the most appropriate stretches and massage techniques for your specific needs and condition.

Well why don’t you come up to my first course in the US in twenty years. I’m finally teaching here and have moved to Missouri but red tape is taking a long time to get practicing in Missouri so I’m teaching in Vermont in June. It’s going to be a smaller sized class I think so you would get a lot of work done on you plus learn how to help others!

Question, why does my muscles tense up involuntarily when I use my massage gun ? I’ll put it on my leg and without me controlling my muscle it’ll just rise up and become still and tense then I’ll let go of the flex and it’ll happen again .. why does that happen???

Hey Brandon, excited for you to setup shop in Missouri! How is the licensing process coming along? Which side of the state will you be based out of?

They have taken 6 weeks to consider my application then ignored my massage qualification and said that Naturopathy isn't massage. I will be appealing the decision. Fenton is where i am based. Reinforces my beliefs that massage licensing has many problems. 34 years of experience and I teach all over the world and have 3 qualifications in different styles of massage and had a massage license in Hawaii

@@brandonraynor Sorry to hear that. Its my understanding that the Board of Therapeutic Massage is Governor appointed. It doesn't take much to see that Parsons has taken nearly a million dollars in donations from healthcare, hospitals, and insurance companies during his political career. Its a battle to push back against the many who believe that pharmaceuticals or expensive and invasive procedures are the only way to wellness and recovery. Its a battle I hope you win. Good luck, sir.
