I have watched several videos on how to do the cathedral window, and I found yours to be the easiest to follow along with. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.
I have been searching TH-cam for an easy way to make cathedral windows. I found your channel today and have to say, I think I can do it! I appreciate the step by step tutorial, as well as the explicit directions. Thank you so much!!
I have also hand sewn the Cathedral Windows, some years ago. I think they look beautiful. My hand sewing is not quite as good as some, but I do love to see others work. Kind Regards, Elizabeth
I just found this tutorial & I appreciate the sincerity of your confidence in explaining the techniques used in making this block.I’m hoping to find, out by watching more of your videos, who won the quilt blocks.
Thank you for your time in making this video. It’s an easier way than I have done before. I am curious how your group does the Christmas quilt block drawing. Did everyone make the cathedral windows or were there a great variety of blocks?
I did this myself, not in a group setting. I was taught many years ago, but found it quite difficult. So I came up with this one. I mainly use it for Christmas cushions/pillows but it does make a lovely quilt! Thank you for your kind comments. Elizabeth.
Thank you for your kind comment these are available - depending where you live of course - at most quilting stores. Ebay has them, and I suggest you contact stores like Spotlight if in Australia. I found one called Prym 611332 on line. the cost is approximately $9-10 I think. if you try typing in: Quilters Quarter 1/4" transparent quilting patchwork Prym 611332 you should be successful. Hope this is helpful, and I apologise for the delay in replying to you. Happy Sewing, Eliza.
I've made the quilt up to the point where you put the "window" squares in & topstitch. My problem is that there is a quite noticeable lump where the seams are joined underneath the windows. Can you suggest a way to soften these or hide them. Would a square of batting help under the window?
See if you can flare out the seams a little where they all join underneath. This can eliminate too much thickness and avoids the lump. Sometimes if the seams are all pressed in the same direction it can create this problem.
This is stunning. Thank you for the easy approach and your extra care to explain the process.
You are very welcome! Thank you.

Thank you! I don't quite understand about the quilt blocks?
@ You had said that your quilt quilt made squares and someone won them. That’s all. At the time I didn’t realize this video was posted 3 yrs ago.
Beautiful, I am going to make some of these as Christmas cushions for gifts. ❤
Be sure to send photos - would love to see them!
Very nice

Would you be able to show us the other way please?
There are a few ways to make these, but I will look into this for you, and hope to do another video.
You sound like my Mother n law, I do miss her.
I will take that as a lovely compliment! Thank you!
