    Absolutely gorgeous. I have a lot of old doilies, pillowcases, tablecloths etc; that I inherited from my mom. Some pieces go back 150-200 years. They’re in storage at the moment but this is an excellent project for them. So glad I found you. Happy sewing.❤️🇨🇦

    Gorgeous cushion, thank you for creating the video. If you do any natural dying, the off cuts that are stained can be added to a dye bath of something like tea, avocado skins/pits or onion skins, with a variety of other fabrics and laces, and used for another project made up of a number of different pieces from the dye bath.

    I've made the quilt up to the point where you put the "window" squares in & topstitch. My problem is that there is a quite noticeable lump where the seams are joined underneath the windows. Can you suggest a way to soften these or hide them. Would a square of batting help under the window?

    • @sewsmartwithelizabeth286
      @sewsmartwithelizabeth286 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      See if you can flare out the seams a little where they all join underneath. This can eliminate too much thickness and avoids the lump. Sometimes if the seams are all pressed in the same direction it can create this problem.
