You totally helped me take time with the fiberglass. I can't even tell you my brain feels like it's going to harden too fast. lol. Thanks for modeling the calm. lol ^_^
This is great stuff! Took me back many years to fiberglassing speaker boxes with my buds. Golf ball to a pea is a good rule of thumb for fillers/cream hardeners.

i have actually the absolutely same idea but it was for the mercedes w202 trying to make a place for 7 inch auto reciever and also connect it with the others half of the trims and after that hydro dipping it to have exactly no difference at all or at least not that visible one but you guys are different case cool video make more grow the channel
That harbor freight template thing looks handy. Plastic packing tape works as a release for me too. Those little metal fibreglass rollers make it easier to get the air out combined with dabbing with a paintbrush. and get a good respirator next time for cutting or sanding fibreglass. You really don't to breathe in that dust. Blah Blah Blah I've come from your IG and Subscribed cause you're funny. Next video... Lots more extreme close up shots 34:54 G'Day from Australia
My personal favorite intro is the one where they pretend you haven't read the title of the video. So the first 7.5 minutes of their 10-minure video is, "I got this package today and I think you're gonna like it. I've been wanting one for a while, but life got in the way. Now it's here and I thought I'd make a video to share with you.... blah, blah, blah. Meanwhile, the video title is right there, "I bought a Russian hooker!"
No jell- use good masking tape & cover the old THEN put a few coats of car wax (unless you have mold release wax) on it . I’ve been doing composite interiors for 25 years & still learn something new 👍
aluminum tape is better. release wax is cheap, pva is a added insurance to release as well and cheap, but neither are needed really if using aluminum tape.... and next time use thin fiberglass matt vs woven roven.

I guess that looked kinda cool.
The close up POV between the two of you at the end is icing on the cake
😘

What wheels are those?
You could have just fiberglassed on to the cardboard.
I've seen people make replica car shells using cardboard and fiberglass.
Should start out with mat glass....
