I was just hoping for a video from you!! Emmy, I know you probably are aware of this frugal tip, but maybe all of your viewers aren't. When you buy something like apples or oranges by the bag, like an 8 pound bag, always look to see how many there are in the bag, The fruit is different sizes. Sometimes an 8 pound bag will contain 10-12 pieces and sometimes 14-16. So if you count each piece of fruit, there can be quite a difference in the amount of servings! And you two are so cute together!! Love watching people who are in love and treat each other with respect!!
That is such a great tip! I do that with potatoes. I weigh the bags...sometimes you can get an extra pound or so more in a bag! Thanks so much for the kind words Susan!!
I get so excited when food items come in glass jars ! I scrub the labels off and use them for so many things like leftovers that are going in the fridge, or to store coffee beans I’ve ground up etc. As for the commercials, I’m happy to let them run. You guys put a lot of time and effort into great videos for us. 🙂
Hello, Thank you for your great ideas and saving tips. My husband use to write me letters or notes all the time. He would surprise me! He would leave me a note on the kitchen table before he went to work. What a great surprise! I have many letters and notes from him. He passed away 5 years ago on February 7,2016. I treasure every letter or note he had written me. God Bless you on your birthday. It’s always the small things in life that make me happy. Treasure every moment you have together. God Bless You Both!
Thank you for encouraging us to comment. I just want to say that this last year, we've paid off ALL our debt and my husband is doing pretty good with some online investments - good enough to accumulate here and there that we are very surprised at how it builds up! This last week we had a poorly cat with expensive vet bills and my husband was disappointed with a bit of loss with one of his investments - it took a bit of a dive. To be honest, I'm chilled and taking it in my stride. I told him not to even worry because I know from what I'm learning in your videos Emmy (correct spelling?), I can make up that loss in no time with your tips and tricks. We came later to the table in terms of sorting out our finances and debt before retirement, but its true, we've cracked it - it really can be done! Once again, thank you for the ideas and inspiration to make it possible!
Emmy, I always enjoy your videos...you remind me of me! We have a 1940s home also that I’ve restored with mid century furniture and art work ( all bought at estate sales, antique and thrift stores!) I find ways to reuse so many items. I hate throwing plastic away! I turn the cake container upside down and bring salads to gatherings and Use the small plastic ones to start seedlings in!😃
Plastic with 2,3 or 5 on the bottom and be melted using a simple system and the only pollution is the gas or wood to melt it. It produces gasoline and diesel. This can fuel a generator. Just an interesting FYI.
Make a photo frame and a collage of family pictures. Have a dance party (play music from when you were first going together). Cook dinner for her, serve and clean up! A back massage!
When my 6 kids were young my husband and I only had money for the kids presents. My husband wrote me a beautiful letter with a poem and gave me 12 vouchers for hair brushing, foot massages, back massages, facial massages, and an hour bath time with lighted candles, a tub of bubbles, a glass of wine and my favorite book . undisturbed ( meaning the kids) for me to use during the year. THAT WAS THE BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT.
I always enjoyed breakfast in bed. Paul could do that! One time my daughter brought me a velveeta sandwich that she made herself. She was about 4. She used minced garlic instead of Mayo or mustard. She carried is through the house dripping garlic behind her. She was soooo proud. You know I had to take a bite of that concoction and tell her how delicious it was at 8 in the morning to boot! I appreciate you guys! 🙌🏻😊
Good to know how the ads work, will be sure to keep them running so you can receive your stipend (and appreciate your decision to not allow them to run in the middle of your content). Good diversity in tips this week, thank you!
Paul, other than making one of her favorite meals, how about a family Zoom meeting with loved ones near and far including friends she hasn't seen in a long time? Also, homemade cards are always sweet ❤
I agree. Our family set up a zoom meeting due to covid on our 40th wedding anniversary. We spent a great hour with all our kids and grandkids and we will never forget that.
Love how much you pack into your videos! We are a almost early retired couple who live in Upstate NY. Since finding your channel I’ve been binge watching your episodes. You and Paul are so similar to my husband and I! We do many of the frugal tips you share but it is so encouraging to share with like minded folk! I am a RN working in the midst of this pandemic. We are saving every penny to get closer to this goal!! Thanks for all the encouragement Love your videos!
Oh thank you for what you are doing to help others! Prayers for safety and health for you! So glad you enjoy our channel! We are thrilled you are here!
Emmy, I want you to know this... I have made your Amish white bread and your pizza dough... both turned out perfectly and my family is so happy that I’ve learned how to make bread. I gave you the credit :). I’ve made it several times now. I also made your vinegar and orange cleaner. Best cleaner I’ve ever used. We have granite in the kitchen and it works beautifully. I’ve implemented many more of your tips as well. I seriously love your channel. My only complaint is that you don’t give us a video everyday. ☺️. I truly have learned so much from you and have been very blessed by you and Paul. I think Paul should make you dinner (I would choose steak) and clean up himself and then take you on a drive and get you your favorite ice cream or shake. I know it’s not “no spend” but it would be “low spend”. Keep up the excellent work! ❤️
Judy I love your comment! When I read a comment like yours it warms our hearts so much! Thank you! We are so blessed you enjoy our channel! Thanks so very much!
It took me a while to realize the ads at the end of the videos as well. I always watch through the ads that come on your channel. It’s the least I can do for the time and effort you two put into making wonderful content for us to enjoy.
We had a big storm on the way and I made a large kettle of chicken noodle soup...I gave most of it away to neighbors. Today, I had very little of the 8 inches of snow to shovel...they all came over and did it for me. Little Girl Dog's feet got so cold I had to carry her most of her "walk". (She is 6#) I use leftover containers to give food to people, plant seeds, and clean jewelry. For your birthday have a picnic in the living room with ham, potato salad, and fresh fruits and cheese for dessert. Pretend it's in a meadow with beautiful flowers. Later in the day have hot chocolate. (Can't ever go wrong with chocolate) Bless you both.
You guys are such lovely people. I don't eat meat or dairy and often don't watch videos that have it because it's rather tempting but you guys are just so lovely and kind and positive that I watch the whole video. As for birthday no spend ideas-- He could write you a song., make you breakfast in bed, take you for a nice long walk early in the morning at a natural area (weather permitting). Coupons for backrubs are wonderful, too. I love a good back rub. He could also do a "gift basket" of things he encounters for free. My spouse did this one year for me with the free table at work. I love this question!
Thanks again for another amazing vid... I have taken so many of your suggestions and lessons and put them to use in my life. I am doing the low/no spend month.. I did really good.... I think with the way my food stuffs look I will extend to another month...so much saved... thank you thank you thank you 😊❤🇨🇦
I am borrowing this idea from my daughter. It isn't a no spend but a low spend and its creative and fun. Set a budget amount of x amount for you and Paul. Could be $5 or $10 each. Go to the Dollar Store and buy items to make something for each other. Then go home and create with your items! They can be useful or silly. Whatever you decide! My daughter and her now husband did this many times when they were dating. I loved hearing the laughter from both of them while they created their gifts for each other.
@@FrugalMoneySaver I just thought of this.. You could buy things and have the other person make something out of the items you bought! It could get really funny! Kind of like the Dollar Store verson of the food tv show Chopped!
It’s a whole year later, but I want to thank you for this video. We are such pushovers when we re-up insurance. I was shocked to learn that the med that I was taking was no longer being covered. They wanted $600.00 for a 3 month supply! I was paying $120.00. Luckily my doctor was able to actually recommend a new over the counter product that was around $22.00 per month. This problem turned into a blessing, but it could have otherwise been a financial problem. I wasn’t vigilant enough when my re-enrollment came around.
I decided to do low spend January when I heard you mention it we were able to save tons this month and haven't thrown away any food so I'm super happy! Your couch is just darling, it reminds me of a Victorian couch that you'd see in libraries or parlors. Hope you all are doing great! :)
WOW! Tremendous haul! Absolutely! Ask, ask, ask! Oh my, those pie tins! My grandmother used to play one as a tambourine! The start of Paul's no spend birthday for you needs to start with making a pot of your very favorite tea. I don't know his skill sets so hard for me to make any other suggestions. Maybe he could write and play you a song! If he had a recipe, I'm sure he could bake you a cake. If he's handy, there are any number of things he could make for you, like frames for special photos, a footstool to rest your feet...I don't know...don't know what you might want. If he's not handy, he could do for you what you're doing for your in-laws, and cook once a month for you as a birthday present...or at least cook for you on your birthday. Or he could give you the gift of doing household laundry, or vacuuming, etc, for a month...or a year!😊 He probably knows which household task you like the least and that's what he could offer to do for you! (Guess I did have a few ideas!) The sofa is gorgeous! I'm glad you were able to get it. Thanks for the reassurance about long responses....that's very kind of you. It's rare I can make a short one. Love to you two! ❤
Jonna he actually does help with the housework. He's really good about that! Great ideas! We will definitely share with you all his "surprises" for me!
You and Paul are such a good couple Emmy. Although it might sound strange I always plan my own birthday. That way I don't have to worry that anyone feels pressured to come up with something and I know that I will get to do exactly what I want to do. (Which is usually to go shopping, lol I save up from January to May)
Yes....Always ask for possible best price...my husband ALWAYS does this....gets jobs done at great prices...then if they are better than expected...he might give them extra $$$ as a tip and then great recommendations to others and on the yelp or website....we do want the best deal but do appreciate and show when jobs are well done. Yes Again... on asking for discounts on insurances....internet, phone etc prices.....shop around. ALWAYS ask for SENIOR discounts.....anywhere....stores, restaurants, businesses.. Employees may even tell you if you qualify for discounts. Thank you for reading and responding to all comments...that's a lot of work. I do try to let the ads go so you get the bit of $$ for your channel....keep up the great work....
Hi Emmy and Paul. Great idea about making calls on some of the bills. That shade of blue is your color - it's looks so nice on you Emmy. Here's some thoughts about the birthday. I just celebrated mine yesterday. But, we do not have a birthday in our home - it's a birthday week. I find little note cards all around the house starting about a week before my birthday and up to that day - maybe taped on the microwave, my computer, etc. Just little notes from hubby or Biscuit (and also our other 4 legged "children" who are no longer with us). It's like getting presents everyday. Then my hubby does a homemade birthday card from him and Biscuit and her "sisters". This year, we left our Christmas tree up and put my presents under it - we give practical things, nothing elaborate. Hubby got me a store bought cake (my favorite chocolate) and we celebrated just the three of us. Biscuit Bridgett barked Happy Birthday!!! (Yeah, I know ... we are not well, but we have fun.) BTW, for my birthday dinner, I made your famous recipe from months ago - the cooked chicken, creamed corn, mashed potatoes, and cheese. Hope this helps in giving Paul some ideas. Have a blessed week.
An idea for Paul - I LOVE a picnic....in any weather : ) For a February picnic, you can lay out a blanket in front of the fireplace and spread out your favorite picnic foods. And maybe even plan a new picnic location for the Spring... a promise for a future is a wonderful event to look forward to! 🎁
A picnic would be my idea too, but outside! There is not such thing as too cold weather, just poor clothing. Here in Finland we take hot chocolate in a thermos and nice sandwiches. If yoy have a possibility, you could light a campfire for the sausages. Bet you will have fun and red cheaks!
🥰I’m happy to watch the commercials for you. Paul take her for a ride in the country to view nature or perhaps a walk in the woods. Then you could make her dinner .
Thank you for explaining the commercials. I am happy you don’t put them in the middle of your videos. Thank you! I will watch the ones at the beginning. Love you both!!
Paul should make you dinner, and desert of your choice, both of you play dress up from another era for a video, and create a new game to play. Happy Birthday Emmy, hope you enjoy your day!
love the low spend concept- I'm going to keep this going for February - Paul, I think you should make Emmy a home cooked meal that she loves complete with dessert
Oh my goodness, what another great video! I do really appreciate you explaining the commercials during videos, I really had no idea that watching a short video could be helpful. I absolutely appreciate your time, advice and encouragement. Many charge a monthly fee to have access to lesser information! You have for certain been a blessing to me and my family💗
I have a grinder just like that pink one in your shelf. It was my grandmothers. When I got it, it still had the last of her pecans & smelled like pecans. It was a great memory of my grandmother.
One thing we do here at home is to write out all the reasons we love the birthday person. We make sure that that the reasons are the same number of their age. Sometimes we make a poster, sometimes they are strips of paper in a jar. Maybe he can get your son to participate too. It is definitely a gift to read all the wonderful reasons and the joy you give your family. Oh and a nice meal and dessert. ❤️
I have been reusing glass jars. I have been trying to stay away from plastic. Our local community center us collecting plastic bags, bubble wrap, etc. After 1000 lbs. is collected, a bench is made for the community! Emmy, I think Paul should make you a nice candlelight dinner!💕
An Epson salt bath if you have it in house is lovely with some soft music an candles lighting. The breakfast in bed idea would be my idea of heaven. Greetings from Ireland.
I think Paul should do a video reading something he wrote or saying something to you - so you will always have a video of him- saying with his expression - in his voice of how he feels about you Another idea ..my hubby did this ... he can get his favorite pics of you and him and some of your son with it And set the pics to play to your song 🎶 Ours was shania Twain’s - your still the one So it would amazing to see a picture montage of your life together set to your song from his eyes All free and priceless for your bday
Thanks guys, that was another helpful one. I watched an old one of your from ages ago and I must compliment you on inspiring me to pull out my dehydrator. I have been making beef jerky since and even made my son some for a side birthday gift. He loved it. I’m having so much fun pulling one out at a time and using them. It’s like the first time I brought each one home. I even have decluttered one realising there was not much purpose for it. It is the food slicer. I guess when I purchased it I had the idea of buying bulk sandwich meat but I rarely do that so this machine just sits in my cupboard. I listed it on market place and hopefully will be able to re-home it. Thanks again for a lovely video today.
Thank you. for the good tips on saving money!!!? Were you adopted??? Maybe Paul should do a candlelight dinner for you. He will cook your favorite food that you already have at home. Bake you your favorite cake. Check to see if maybe one of your favorite movies is on that night. He fixes you a cup of coffee or Hot chocolate or tea. Relax and enjoy the movie!!!
I have been going back watching some of your previous that were prior to my finding you. I am enjoying them so much! I was raised to do much of what you teach but the reminders are so helpful. Thank you!
Nest month will be our anniversary, as a frugal person, I asked my husband to cook a nice dinner for us. I love a nice table decor and I use my own china and nice things from my mom and my in laws. No gifts needed, just a nice card! We are saving money for a awesome trip in 2022!! (every dollar counts). I really enjoy your channel! Thanks
I'm not at all surprised your birthday is on Super Bowl Sunday...you're pretty darned SUPER, Emmy! Thanks to 14.5 inches of snow, I won't be venturing out for even a small grocery pickup...which will leave me with $60 in my already lowered monthly food budget. And, since I overstocked my pantry earlier, I won't miss anything in my menu plan. By the way, have you seen the SuperCook app? You put in your main ingredient and it finds recipes on the web that will use it, especially if you have some of the other ingredients in your pantry. Best of all, it's free (my favorite price)!
We r seniors dollar tree my Macy's lol been yardsales over thirty years saved mso much money on everything u think of inuse senior discounts whenever can coupons we r not rich we r content we can pay bills save little we have taken vacation last four years mwe saved change all year plan it been in our townhouse we bought nineteen eighty six sixty thousand we appreciate it take very good care of it my hubby retired at fifety eight years old didn't save but we r good blessed
I know this is an older video, but I wanted to share one way I save. As you stated to ask for discounts when making purchases, I do that very thing, but with a twist. I always have asked for discounts everywhere and for most everything and when they say they can’t go lower on the price, or have no discounts, I say, “How bout a junior discount because I am not quite a senior yet?” Do you know just the jesting alone has gotten me a discount? And one time I got a $600 discount on a fireplace insert for asking that very way? Now I am getting close to asking for the senior discounts, I will have to come up with another clever way to knock ‘‘em down a bit, but hey, it works and they must have been able to actually have that wiggle room because I DO actually get a discount. Sometimes saying something lighthearted or funny works, and if nothing else, you both get a chuckle. Xx
Is there a new walking trail or nature sanctuary you could take her to and find more woodpeckers, etc. - maybe even time it to sunrise or sunset? Should be empty in winter for Covid concerns. Then maybe a car picnic with a white cloth on the center console or something like that??
Your talk about a no spend birthday reminded me of my mom and stepdad’s tradition on Valentines Day. They gave each other a card every year...but they each used their original cards and added a new message. Good memories.❤️. (New chocolates, though!)
Yes, we, too, have enjoyed the $100 challenge that we've done along with you. In fact, so much so, that we've decided to have a "splurge" month in February....$200 for groceries. 😆
I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your videos for so many reason .We have alot in commend and the same living ideas and probably retirement.Thank you and please keep them coming.
Happy Birthday, Emmy. Paul could make a "musical memory lane" play list for you with songs from your life together such as when you first met, got married, when your son was born, etc. Music can really take you back!
Back in our bookstore days my buddy & I would pay $5.00 for a used waterbed, the wood was used to build super strong shelves & the mattress was cut into a tarp.
Great tip about asking for price reductions on things. I always felt shy about that in the past but now I feel like “the worst they could do is tell me to get lost.”
Your videos are so informative but also a bright light amid these times dark times. God bless and thank you for sharing. Paul could make you dinner and dessert for your birthday!
WE ALL LOVE YOUR NEW TIPS WE ARE WAITING FOR PAUL TO PLAY HIS MUSIC FOR US OR IN THE BACK GROUND WHILE YOUR COOKING HAVE A BLESSED MONTH WE DID IT YAHHHHHHHH
You order oil? I have heard of that but I didn't know people still used it. We have natural gas for heating. I like your videos and they are always informative. Paul sounds like my husband, just because we did something frugal for him doesn't mean he is willing to do it for me. He spoils me when he can... I think if Paul can cook he should make your favorite meal and serve it to you and then clean up. Lol, for emphasis is on the clean up. He can write you a beautiful letter too. Ooo, maybe he can recreate your first date? Or your first anniversary?
Yes, everyone here in our area of New York has home heating oil. We have no natural gas accessible. We could go to all electric but that is so expensive. Thanks for the birthday suggestion Melinda!
Hi Emmie and Paul I save those containers and gift them as you said with cookies a cake they save me money,my sisters laugh but they are doing it also and thank me for the ideas,I try very hard to be frugal covid has helped I dont want to be around people. Stay safe and thank you both for your tips and delishous receipts.
I love your videos and your sweet spirit. For my husbands 40th we wrote 40 things we loved about him and made him a basket of his favorite snacks. Pretty no/low spend but still special.
i save those also.. i send meals in all sorts of things. i also use the fruit plastic to make special gift boxes. it is fun to make and most people go.. how did you do that.. hahaha hahaha Paul... maybe a scavenger hunt to places that mean something to end under the stars somewhere with hot cocoa in thermoses... a cupcake to share... and sitting under the moon under blankets watching the stars. or have family and friends bring a potluck and have a party with the people you love. maybe children and hubby could go in together for a cake.
I think Paul should write you a love letter and serve it with dessert and/or wine.
Terri that is so sweet! Thanks for the idea!
Two ,almosr three yrs. later , great fun. Enjoy you folks so much.😊😊😊😊😊
So kind! Thank you!

I save plastic ones too I use it to freeze sauces

I don’t mind watching commercials for my favorite channels, I want you to grow and monetize accordingly. You should be paid :)
Jackie that means a lot to us! Thank you so much!

Oh my gosh love the salad idea in the bigger container! Brilliant! Thanks so much Stephanie!

Just noticed you are getting close to 10,000!!!
Oh yeah!! There will be a fun giveaway when we reach that for sure!!

Hi neighbor I'm from upstate too!!
Thanks for the tips, I was able to reduce my telephone bill by $240.00 a year and my car insurance by $140.00 a year. I am elated.
WOW! Sarah that is sooo great!
Paul could give you a spa day with free massage 👏😁 light the candles, relax, and he could feed u strawberries covered in chocolate 💕
Stephanie how well do you know me! That would be perfect!
Glad to know you get a little from the ads. I have fallen asleep two or three times watching some of your playlists. So, all those ads were watched. 😊
YAY! LOL! Thank you!

Lisa THANK YOU! That is so very thoughtful and helpful of you! Yes, they do put them at the end as well!
Oh no Little Girls Toes got cold! She's a petite little lady at 6 pounds! Love your birthday ideas! Bless you as well Toni!
Great ideas! Thank you so much Tonya! I appreciate you watching our videos despite the meat and dairy! That is really very kind of you!!
Thanks again for another amazing vid... I have taken so many of your suggestions and lessons and put them to use in my life. I am doing the low/no spend month.. I did really good.... I think with the way my food stuffs look I will extend to another month...so much saved... thank you thank you thank you 😊❤🇨🇦
YAY DAWN! So wonderful you did so well! It was fun right!! I think we may extend too with the food! Thanks for being here!
It was/is fun...hard sometimes...but it sure made me think and rethink ..instead of buying right away . .
Tammy that is such a great idea! Sounds so fun!! Thank you!
@@FrugalMoneySaver I just thought of this.. You could buy things and have the other person make something out of the items you bought! It could get really funny! Kind of like the Dollar Store verson of the food tv show Chopped!
FAGE is Greek meaning “let’s Eat” OPA!
LOL!! Thanks Pia!
Oh I am happy you got the price lowered!
I decided to do low spend January when I heard you mention it we were able to save tons this month and haven't thrown away any food so I'm super happy! Your couch is just darling, it reminds me of a Victorian couch that you'd see in libraries or parlors. Hope you all are doing great! :)
Yes Jade that's exactly what the couch looks like! Goes perfectly with our style! Thanks so much!
(Guess I did have a few ideas!)
The sofa is gorgeous!
@@FrugalMoneySaver Thanks!
No spend birthday thoughts - your favorite meal/desert & a movie...of your choice.... at home. Bring out the fancy dishes...candles if you have them.
Sounds so wonderful! Thank you!
I use disposable pie tins sometimes when I bake chicken in the oven and don't want to mess up my own baking pans.
You and Paul are such a good couple Emmy. Although it might sound strange I always plan my own birthday. That way I don't have to worry that anyone feels pressured to come up with something and I know that I will get to do exactly what I want to do. (Which is usually to go shopping, lol I save up from January to May)
Erin I try to help Paul along those lines as well. Thanks so much for being here!!
Thank you so much! Your husband is smart! It really saves a bunch of money to just ask! I also agree a job well done always deserves a nice tip!!
Happy Belated Birthday Karen!!!! Love the idea of a birthday week! Such sweet ideas!! That would definitely work for me LOL!
It won't matter that....Here,. There and Everywhere will be in my mind all eve🎵 The Beatles. my fave group since I was 12.🧡✌️🤟
An idea for Paul - I LOVE a picnic....in any weather : ) For a February picnic, you can lay out a blanket in front of the fireplace and spread out your favorite picnic foods. And maybe even plan a new picnic location for the Spring... a promise for a future is a wonderful event to look forward to! 🎁
Great idea! Picnics are so fun! Thanks for sharing!
Sounds about perfect Deedee!! Thanks so much!
Thanks for the advice Emmy, it's appreciated. That shade of blue looks really stunning on you.
Oh thank you Sarah! So kind of you!
Thank you for explaining the commercials. I am happy you don’t put them in the middle of your videos. Thank you! I will watch the ones at the beginning. Love you both!!
You are so welcome Lisa! Thank you for being here and watching!
Paul should make you dinner, and desert of your choice, both of you play dress up from another era for a video, and create a new game to play. Happy Birthday Emmy, hope you enjoy your day!
Thank you so much Tina! Love the video idea!!
love the low spend concept- I'm going to keep this going for February - Paul, I think you should make Emmy a home cooked meal that she loves complete with dessert
Great idea Mary!! Maybe we will film it lol! Thank you!
I get excited about packaging on products
Me too Joyce! Thanks for watching!
Emmy you and Paul are such blessing please keep up the good video. I learn so many good tips from you.God Bless You!
Nancy thank you so much!! God bless you too!
When my Dad lived in CT, he had a second tank put in the basement so he could stock up in the summer when it was less expensive.
We just don't have the room or that would be a great idea!
You are so welcome Jenn! Thank you so much for being a part of our channel!
I found you about a week ago and I am ADDICTED. Thank you so much, Emmy & Paul
YAY!! I love to hear that! Thanks so very much Shannon!
I have a grinder just like that pink one in your shelf. It was my grandmothers. When I got it, it still had the last of her pecans & smelled like pecans. It was a great memory of my grandmother.
Oh how neat is that! I find that one in a box at a flea market for $2. I grabbed it lol!
Love that Heather! That is such a sweet idea! Thanks!
I have been reusing glass jars. I have been trying to stay away from plastic. Our local community center us collecting plastic bags, bubble wrap, etc. After 1000 lbs. is collected, a bench is made for the community! Emmy, I think Paul should make you a nice candlelight dinner!💕
Diane I am thinking you are right! I think I might film it too lol!
An Epson salt bath if you have it in house is lovely with some soft music an candles lighting. The breakfast in bed idea would be my idea of heaven. Greetings from Ireland.
Thank you Helen! Lovely idea! Appreciate you sharing!
Chocolate covered strawberries! And your favorite movie 🎥!
Lesley it's so funny so many of you said chocolate covered strawberries! They are my favorite!!! It's like you all new lol!
I think Paul should do a video reading something he wrote or saying something to you - so you will always have a video of him- saying with his expression - in his voice of how he feels about you
Another idea ..my hubby did this ... he can get his favorite pics of you and him and some of your son with it
And set the pics to play to your song 🎶
Ours was shania Twain’s - your still the one
So it would amazing to see a picture montage of your life together set to your song from his eyes
All free and priceless for your bday
What wonderful ideas! Our anniversary is in June it might work for then too!
Red sky and night shepherds delight, red sky in morning shepherds warning!!! Lol from England 🙂
Tann love that! Thank you!
Great saving ideas! I’m still decluttering, but I’m stuck on old pictures. It seems very hard to give them up.
Linda I totally understand! Take your time...when you're ready!
I love those Pictsweet veggies they’re grown in U S A ,but none of our local supermarkets have them now ,Dollar Tree used to carry them but not now,
I feel like you 2 are the best parents. Wish you would adopt me😭😭😭😭. Always watch your ads
LOL Amy! Thank you!!
I save all kinds of containers just like you do. Great tip.🦋
Nice couch I love the classic design
Thanks so much Ruby! It has a retro kind of look for sure!
I think Paul should take you out for a scenic drive. I usually love those.
They are wonderful aren't they!
You are so welcome Tracy! I am so glad the videos inspire you! Thanks for watching!
Thank you. for the good tips on saving money!!!? Were you adopted??? Maybe Paul should do a candlelight dinner for you. He will cook your favorite food that you already have at home. Bake you your favorite cake. Check to see if maybe one of your favorite movies is on that night. He fixes you a cup of coffee or Hot chocolate or tea. Relax and enjoy the movie!!!
No I'm not adopted lol! Why would you think I'm adopted? Sounds like a lovely day you have planned for Paul to bless me!! Thank you!
I have been going back watching some of your previous that were prior to my finding you. I am enjoying them so much! I was raised to do much of what you teach but the reminders are so helpful. Thank you!
Thank you so much! So glad you are enjoying them!
Thanks
That is so awesome Kelly! Love that you're saving for something specific! Happy early anniversary!! Thanks for watching!
Love your channel. You are both so sweet! I'd love to see Paul cook your favorite recipe and serve it to you! Happy birthday!
Donna wouldn't that be fun!! I agree lol! Thanks!
If Paul can cook he can fix you something you like
Ya'll are so inspiring and adorable 😊
Oh that is so sweet! Thank you Catina!
That's a great idea - maybe breakfast in bed
Those oranges would make a wonderful orange tea cake.
Oh yes! I adore orange cake! That sounds about perfect!! Thanks!
What a nice channel. Love your tips. Love real people with real life tips. Have a blessed day!
Thank you so much April! You too! Happy to have you here!
We call those reused containers Tumbleware, LOL I am going to call my car insurance to see if I can get a lower price.
Love that Lori LOL!
Head massages by your Love one are perfect.
Alison that sounds great!! Thanks for the idea!
Great food haul.I also love the ShopRite sausage.it’s delicious 😋
We agree Mary! It's so good!
Kathleen you are so sweet! Thank you so much! Wow! That's a lot of snow. We only ended up getting about an inch thank goodness!
If it's a dry day then a picnic in a local country park would be lovely. And Paul can but you a bottle bubbly with all of the dosh saved in January!
Sarah that sounds lovely! Thanks for the idea!
Sounds like you have a great attitude! Thank you Margaret!
Xx
That is wonderful! Funny and smart!
Love your ideas.
Is there a new walking trail or nature sanctuary you could take her to and find more woodpeckers, etc. - maybe even time it to sunrise or sunset? Should be empty in winter for Covid concerns. Then maybe a car picnic with a white cloth on the center console or something like that??
That's such a sweet idea! A car picnic! Thanks so much!
"SOUP"er Bowl Sunday! Have Paul make you your favorite soup and crackers or homemade bread! 😋 love your videos!😍
Great idea Angie!! Thanks so much!!
Your talk about a no spend birthday reminded me of my mom and stepdad’s tradition on Valentines Day. They gave each other a card every year...but they each used their original cards and added a new message. Good memories.❤️. (New chocolates, though!)
Catherine my mom and her best friend did the same card exchange for years! What a sweet thoughtful idea!
Yes, we, too, have enjoyed the $100 challenge that we've done along with you. In fact, so much so, that we've decided to have a "splurge" month in February....$200 for groceries. 😆
LOL Wow! Christine then you can stock up for your next no spend LOL! Thanks for being a part of our channel!
I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your videos for so many reason .We have alot in commend and the same living ideas and probably retirement.Thank you and please keep them coming.
Thank you so much Janice! Appreciate you being here!
I ask for a senior citizen discount too... works every time, when we bought a chicken coop I asked and got 10% off.
So smart Becky! Great tip!
"Red sky at night, Shepherds delight....red sky in the morning, Shepherds warning."
LOL. We always said sailors Wendy! Who knew there was another way!
Happy Birthday, Emmy. Paul could make a "musical memory lane" play list for you with songs from your life together such as when you first met, got married, when your son was born, etc. Music can really take you back!
Oh what a sweet idea Holly! Love that!!
It can be a day of your favorites ,favorite DVD movies ,favorite breakfast, game and so on.all things you have already.
Absolutely Lori! Love that! Thanks!
Beautiful sky! Thanks for sharing 🙂.
You are so welcome! Thanks for being here!
Ritzi & I send 💖 & Cheer to Everyone from Texas!!!
Hi Wanda and Ritzi! Have a pleasant evening!
Back in our bookstore days my buddy & I would pay $5.00 for a used waterbed, the wood was used to build super strong shelves & the mattress was cut into a tarp.
Wow! That's actually very clever!
@@FrugalMoneySaver My buddy's idea. Thats really good wood.
Great tip about asking for price reductions on things. I always felt shy about that in the past but now I feel like “the worst they could do is tell me to get lost.”
Exactly Gretchen!
Your videos are so informative but also a bright light amid these times dark times. God bless and thank you for sharing. Paul could make you dinner and dessert for your birthday!
You are very welcome Eileen! May God bless you as well!
WE ALL LOVE YOUR NEW TIPS WE ARE WAITING FOR PAUL TO PLAY HIS MUSIC FOR US OR IN THE BACK GROUND WHILE YOUR COOKING HAVE A BLESSED MONTH WE DID IT YAHHHHHHHH
Yes, I told Paul again the other day that he needs to play for you all! Yes, we did do it!!
@@FrugalMoneySaver MAYBE WHEN YOUR COOKING !! CANT WAIT
Oh that's a great idea!
@@FrugalMoneySaver YAHH CANT WAIT OUR BDAYS ARE COMMING SOON!!
Awesome hearing your true stories. It is very inspiring. Tfs.
You are so welcome Emily! Thanks for watching!
You are so welcome Ruth! Thank you for being a part of our channel!
Let him do the cooking for you on your birthday or make you a special dessert . Maybe your favourite dessert .
Love you and Paul! Thank you for sharing your wisdom and your faith with us. It is such an encouragement!
Penny thank you for being a part of our channel! We so appreciate you watching!
I love your videos and your sweet spirit. For my husbands 40th we wrote 40 things we loved about him and made him a basket of his favorite snacks. Pretty no/low spend but still special.
Love that idea Mama! Thank you so much for the kind words as well!
i save those also.. i send meals in all sorts of things. i also use the fruit plastic to make special gift boxes. it is fun to make and most people go.. how did you do that.. hahaha hahaha Paul... maybe a scavenger hunt to places that mean something to end under the stars somewhere with hot cocoa in thermoses... a cupcake to share... and sitting under the moon under blankets watching the stars. or have family and friends bring a potluck and have a party with the people you love. maybe children and hubby could go in together for a cake.
Michelle what wonderful ideas! Thanks so much for sharing!!
You are such a positive encouragement to me. You smile shines and your desire to inspire is so genuine
Oh gosh that is so kind of you to say! Thanks so very much!
