Incredible and just in time. Todays mail brought 30% off at Kohl's & it was tempting but I told myself NO. Checked my cupboards for items I mistakenly bought. Couldn't take it back to the store because they were opened & hated to toss them out. So, I put them in a nice shopping bag and gave my mistakes to my friend. She was thrilled and now she gives me hers. The wrong bread, coffee, detergents, shampoos, canned goods, oat meal, tea etc. etc. Things I bought in a hurry and didn't really check out well. My version of swapping. It's fun.
I am finding that having less stuff to take care of and enjoying life mostly at home has been really satisfying. I think it can be exciting to bring in an item that I have saved for, researched, and really needed. There is a joy in going to the cupboard, knowing the item I needed is there and I don’t have to dig through a bunch of stuff to find it. Today, I have removed two backing pans, three scarves, and an over abundance of intimates that were clogging the intimate drawer.
I love how you're going to use the M + M's. I always buy at least 2 big bags of mixed fun sized candy bars when they go on sale for 50% off after Halloween. I put some in stockings at Christmas and the rest get's used for Valentine's Day. Only the outer bag has anything related to Halloween, The candy inside is just in its regular wrappers. I'm glad I'm not the only one who looks for ways to stretch my money on treats for my family! Blessings, Helen

These tips are great Emmy. I was called a cheapskate when I implemented them. My family was not on the same boat and so I had to help to bail them out in the end. Ingratitude and now starting from the beginning, learning to take care of me and avoiding to listen to negativity. I learned to stand up for myself when I ended up with serious health issues. Had already budgeted for $25 co pay and gas ⛽️ money Got gas at Kroger, in Houston, we’re able to use $0.50 off ea. Gallon of gas ⛽️ to fill up, total was $22 to fill up. Here in Louisiana we can only use $0.10 off a gallon. We ate shrimp gumbo at Jason’s deli $19.76 ( I’m on low/NO spend month.) fist time eating out at a sit down restaurant in a year. ( we did Only because we were out of town) Then I went to CVS I bough 2-40 ( bonus) count halls cough drops $2.79 another 1/2 off= $1.40 Had $1.50 off manufactured coupon for cough drops, and the crest pro health was $3, I Used $2 digital coupon off of 1 Paid $ 3.68 OOP, NO sales Tax in Houston! 😊 I did t have ECB to roll. Got back $3 total ECB’s for buying crest and for buying cough drops. Making it $0.34 for each bag cough drops and 0 for toothpaste, AFTER EBC’s BACK --- total for Eating out and CVS was not planned for, I forgot to budget for that. spent $23.44 for eating and for cvs. BUT, MY DR. GAVE ME 3 Months supply of ONE of my MEDICATIONS = $35 so, I don’t have to buy this medication 💊 for 3 months which is $35 saved!! I got it free.) $23.44 cvs and Lunch And so far $ 31.18 spend OOP for groceries this month. So grateful for All my savings and blessings! 💃 💃💃🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
We love Sling & it's $40 a month. We used to have cable & I thought it would be so tough to cut the cord but we did it. We keep working to minimize our food budget & still eat heLthy, interesting food. Thanks for always being such a pleasant presence to observe.💕

Made an extra car payment last week. 2 more to go and I’m hoping to be done next Month. I’m grateful I don’t have a real shopping habit. Grocery budget was $10 under.

Wow what a wonderful video. The CVS haul was fantastic. I love to coupon. I got a box of Eggo Waffles for my grandson for 50 cents. I was given an instant pit over a year ago and used it today for the first time. That's the only way I'll make dry beans.
I love your videos and all the helpful tips that you give us on how to live well and save money. I will admit that we fell off the wagon on the no spend $100 budget this past weekend by $20.00. 😕 But we are going to try a no spend week once a month for the rest of the year because it will add up to almost three whole months of not spending money. We got the idea from "Under the Median." And, we are not going to stock up on anything ahead of time because I am 100% sure we have enough food and supplies to make it through a week easily. I think you two will make it through your first no spend month easily. Keep up the good work!

I jusr get rid of things I don't use, I fill a half dozen boxes and I call Salvation Army, Without a car I only go to the store once a month, but in January and in August those are months where sales are huge, and I go thru my closets and do major donate boxes. I don't have cable, or Netflix, yard sales are horrible here so I bet I donate 25 boxes a year, I also every week I pick a new closet to organize, so I do spend in January, and August from my needs list. As for managing my money for the other ten months, my bills are 819.60 including Taxes, and Lawncare. Food, Cab, Non Grocery, and Pet Food is $340.00, $180.00 is banked, and $26.40 goes into my piggy bank for emergencies, last week Madeleine went to the Vet, and $160.00 came out of the piggy bank, at Christmas and Birthdays if the bills are less for some reason the piggy bank gets extra money, I have. Netflix offered me a free month, I watched it three times and I cancelled it been using $20 for stock up for my pantry. I started 30 bags of garbage a month to declutter, i all ready did 26, my house must have ten closets. Right now four closets are empty.
I think you know my husband. If he has money in his pocket he has to spend it. It's frustrating when I am trying to cut back and he's full steam ahead. He is on a budget this month but has gone over by $40.
Our sales tax in North Myrtle is 8%, so not much less than yours. Myrtle Beach is 9% and I think about 11 or 12% in restaurants (at least that's what it was when we could go to restaurants). Funny that your sales tax was more than your total. I need to declutter badly, mostly papers....just don't know why I can't get rid of them!
Yes NMB is crazy with their "luxury" taxes!! I have a VERY hard time with paper declutter too Geri! I'm getting much better though! We just shredded a box full! YAY ME! LOL!
I know this is random, but you seem to get great deals from cvs on toothpaste. What do you do with it? Stockpile? Donate? Gift? It would be fun to stock one of those little free thing libraries with it if you have those in your area. We don't have a CVS here anymore. :(

Hi, I was wondering what the cable was that you signed up for (the spelling of)? We still have cable and it’s so expensive but my husband is a big tv and movie guy. He has a lot of shows he watches on different channels and he won’t give it up for something like Netflix that’s not regular channels. I’d love to reduce this monthly expense.

I spend a little extra money for streaming services with no commercials to avoid being pressured into wanting to buy things I don't need. So I have TH-cam premium and I buy the premium level of CVS all Access. So I don't watch any commercials anymore. I also watch PBS passport and that has no commercials too.

I went to CVS today and used some coupons and got $13 back in CVS bucks.You inspired me from another one of your videos, so before I went to the store I checked their ad on line to see what was on sale and what gave bucks back.

I jusr get rid of things I don't use, I fill a half dozen boxes and I call Salvation Army, Without a car I only go to the store once a month, but in January and in August those are months where sales are huge, and I go thru my closets and do major donate boxes. I don't have cable, or Netflix, yard sales are horrible here so I bet I donate 25 boxes a year, I also every week I pick a new closet to organize, so I do spend in January, and August from my needs list. As for managing my money for the other ten months, my bills are 819.60 including Taxes, and Lawncare. Food, Cab, Non Grocery, and Pet Food is $340.00, $180.00 is banked, and $26.40 goes into my piggy bank for emergencies, last week Madeleine went to the Vet, and $160.00 came out of the piggy bank, at Christmas and Birthdays if the bills are less for some reason the piggy bank gets extra money, I have. Netflix offered me a free month, I watched it three times and I cancelled it been using $20 for stock up for my pantry. I started 30 bags of garbage a month to declutter, i all ready did 26, my house must have ten closets. Right now four closets are empty.

I think you know my husband. If he has money in his pocket he has to spend it. It's frustrating when I am trying to cut back and he's full steam ahead. He is on a budget this month but has gone over by $40.

Our sales tax in North Myrtle is 8%, so not much less than yours. Myrtle Beach is 9% and I think about 11 or 12% in restaurants (at least that's what it was when we could go to restaurants). Funny that your sales tax was more than your total. I need to declutter badly, mostly papers....just don't know why I can't get rid of them!
Yes NMB is crazy with their "luxury" taxes!! I have a VERY hard time with paper declutter too Geri! I'm getting much better though! We just shredded a box full! YAY ME! LOL!
I know this is random, but you seem to get great deals from cvs on toothpaste. What do you do with it? Stockpile? Donate? Gift? It would be fun to stock one of those little free thing libraries with it if you have those in your area. We don't have a CVS here anymore. :(

Hi, I was wondering what the cable was that you signed up for (the spelling of)? We still have cable and it’s so expensive but my husband is a big tv and movie guy. He has a lot of shows he watches on different channels and he won’t give it up for something like Netflix that’s not regular channels. I’d love to reduce this monthly expense.
We have Philo! It's got great channels like History, Discovery, AMC etc. We are enjoying it for $20 a month lol!

I spend a little extra money for streaming services with no commercials to avoid being pressured into wanting to buy things I don't need. So I have TH-cam premium and I buy the premium level of CVS all Access. So I don't watch any commercials anymore. I also watch PBS passport and that has no commercials too.
I do youtube premium also and love 💕 it! So worth it. How do you get pbs passport
