  • in this video number {752} i demonstrated How To Repair / fix / joint / weld Broken Plastic Gear. i used steel wire to tightening the broken parts using Safety Wire Pliers, Wire Twisting Tool Lock Wire Pliers, Wire Twister Tool / Wire Twister Pliers. then i used baking soda and super glue over the steel wire
    Fixing plastic gears, How to remake broken gears, gear teeth repair. while working on analog timer, i found a gear broken, it is not available in market, so i took silicon glue gun and applied hot glue on paper. i covered the shaft hole of the gear with insulation tape, then i dipped this gear in lubricant oil, and placed on the hot glue to take footprint of the gear. when the hot glue cooled down, then i removed the gear and aligned the broken side in the footprinted silicon and filled with epoxy (using resin and hardener). after cleaning, finishing the gear started working as an original gear.

      The pliers are "safety-wire" pliers from the aerospace industry

    Great idea, especially that it's hard to find a replacement for most gears. Thanks.

    I love your repairs! SO resourceful! I haven't seen a wire wrapping set of pliers since I was in tech school for mechanics in 1993! I sometimes use a drill with a chuck to wrap wires, but that would be too big for this. Thanks for sharing!

    Hsseeb, can you please do a short video to show the wire twister and how does it work. Also let us know the place to buy. This is the first time I saw this kind of a tool.

    • @gplusgplus2286
      @gplusgplus2286 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because it is used mainly on aircraft to safety wire bolts. Bolts that have a hole for wire to make special knot with this tool = safety wire.
