The 2nd guy had the numbers to back up his valuation. Even though he believed in his product enough to counter the offers, he sounded desperate to get a deal and the sharks jumped all over that and demanded quadruple the equity.
The reason Kevin Hart gets the deals he wants is cause he understands how to connect with ppl on their current journey, and he doesn’t BS if he straight up doesn’t know about a certain space. And the companies pitching on Shark Tank can see that in him & they very much appreciate how Kevin is able to explain it without letting emotions get in the way of a deal. Whereas all these other Sharks let emotions & their massive EGO’s control their decision making
