I'm struggling to see what the risk is on the last deal if it's contingent on the funding being given only against hard sales. So what exactly is he risking by "investing" with the loan only being applicable if they've got orders lmao. Just made them pay him to give him 10% of their company.
The risk is in leasing. They have to provide the machines now, but take back the cost of them month by month. If company goes bankrupt, it is almost impossible to collect the rest of the money from lessees due to lack of service.
I think the people who want to give away a tiny percentage to "protect" their other investors are not seeing it the right way. That would be fine if they didn't expect the sharks to force multiply their business, but they do. You aren't just asking them for money so YOU can go to work for THEM making THEM money. You expect them to use their connectitons and name value to quickly scale your business.
