Thank you sooooo much for this vid....My friend gave me a Lucky Bamboo she had for 10 yrs... Now I know how to propogate them....Your so right about 'proper' water....Our city water actually damages our faucets....so you can imagine what my lovely plants go through when I water with the hose... : ( .I LOVE gardening.......Have two huge Avacoda trees : ) ( in Florida so I'm always planting....also love Elephant plants : )
Very useful guidance on the topic. I have done this and made 3 parts as you have explained. And all 3 parts have nice roots now. But what happens to the first part with the green leaves ? They are turning yellow. What should I do ? Please suggest. Thank you.
If you put a guarder to new shoots how will the stem increase in width? Should I tie the guarder lightly?? Also where will I place them? In indirect sunlight? Your videos are very informative. Thanks for sharing
Suraj ji, I have started watching your videos from today and it's very educative indeed. Just 1 thing if you add in your videos please that how many times do we need to water the plants and whether to keep inside or outside of home
my shoots have grown very long, they have many leaves growing. Is it possible to take that long shoot and make multiple cuttings? Or should I cut it to a smaller length and discard the rest? In other words, when you showed the shoots at 1:48, my shoots are almost 4 times as large. Can I cut that shoot so that I have multiple cuttings or should I just get one cutting from it?
@@GardeningismyPassion Thank you so much Dr. Agarwal! So I will replant that one long stem. When I get a second Lucky bamboo with long shoot then I will try to get multiple cuttings.
I like your channel, your plants are gorgeous but you never mentioned the season to propagate them, to transplant them, please continue making more videos ,can you sell or delivered me plants to outside countries ? Interesting do you have devils backbone too ? Eagerly waiting for the next video thank you
Good morning from the Philippines. New subscriber here. Just watched your videos and found them very educational. May I know what kind of wax did you use. Keep it up and more power.
Hello. when you separated them, how much water did you put for plants with roots? What should happened with other branches (with out roots) will they continue grow? Thank you.
Superb video ... I was always buying this stuff and it has always died ..not sure why :( ... but I am going to try this and see if I can make my own using this method .... big thanks
You don't need to cut anything I took the top of one with my hand and put it in water and it made roots. It is very easy. Just water, don't take off leaves or cut it.
Zabardast....My 7 or 10 roots are still yellow....can I cut the whole root section and will new roots come again....there is only 1 branch now with 1 leaf!!!! Changed the water and washed the pebbles etc
thank you so much. i needed to know what to do with the side shoots because mine are now taller than the actual stalks. no one else addresses the side shoots. so am I understanding this correctly, that the side shoot that you cut off and put in water will grow into one of the larger bamboo stalks?
I did this last year. Leaves survived and all roots, stems died by rot...bc of the wax...Do Not Cover entire stem at the bottom with wax..just around the hole.. Thank you for video.
ESTER vasanthan When you grow in water please don't add manure in it. Please change water once in a week. If you want to grow in soil you may do it. Please watch my another video how to grow it in soil. Thanks

Exactly, that is the same question I have. He appeared to use the side shoots to grow new bamboo stalks. Perhaps he can clarify this for us.
