    I love this video bc it’s so straightforward. No bullshit sponsorship, dramatic cutaways, or overly happy theme music. He’s not trying to sell us anything. He’s just sharing his genuine passion for plant care. I learned all I needed in this one video than I did on three other “aesthetically” pleasing produced videos I clicked on before this.

      Yes! Today's videos are all about making money and less about quality or accurate content. I have seen so much bad info in "professional" videos on YT it's really disturbing.

    I like this guy because he gives you straight, simple instructions. I haven't ever had a bamboo plant before and I am so excited to be able to not only transplant but to also make more plants to have and give away! Thank you!!!!

      I only say this bc I want you to succeed with your plants, lucky bamboo is a lily not a bamboo. It flowers if you let it grow big enough. I’ve been trying for 2 years! I grow mine in aquarium water as fish poop is great fertilizer. I had problems with mine until I eventually put them in a fish tank.

    I had a dog knock over and chew on some of my bamboo stalks.I'd had these plants for about a year and didn't want to have to throw them all away so I took the ones with minimal to no damage and stuck them in some chlorine free water and I wasn't expecting much but to my surprise I noticed new roots on them one day and so I came to learn more about them. In thrilled that it looks like they're gonna be okay.

    Thanks for the great video. I appreciate you explained how to care for both the cuttings and the original stems as most videos focus just on the cutting only. I also love that you raise fresh water fish. I use spider plants suspended in my plecko tank water to help control nitrates. They grow great! I also use tank water for my vegetable garden and all my houseplants and have done this for years. I will try a lucky bamboo propagation on a plant I found left behind by a student, and consider using lucky bamboo with my fish tanks. Thanks for the great video!

The leaves were in shape but I thought it’s dying since the entire stock turned yellow. I wish I known to trim off the leaves to propagate instead of tossing the whole thing.

    I have three bamboo plants at home in my bathroom window. They have been doing great but they are so tall and looking very top heavy I guess you would call it. Asked around at nurseries but no one knew what to do with them. Listening to your video I feel I know what to do to get them back in to shape. They were getting to be almost two and a half feet tall and was afraid to cut them so now I feel I know what to do. Thank you so much.🙋🏼

    Perlite + distilled water + hydrogen peroxide + rooting hormone + unscented white candle wax to seal the cut on the "mother" plant. You can clean perlite with hydrogen peroxide. The downside to perlite, is that the initial rinsing off of all the hidden organic junk and sand and sifting to get larger perlite and having to be careful to not crush/crack/break the delicate perlite is a pain, but if you enjoy the hobby, when you are don't and the lucky bamboo in the perlite will look amazing and you won't have to worry about oxygen deficiency to the roots. Perlite provides the perfect environment for INDOOR plants (using this method outdoors in direct sun will dry out within an hour or so and the plant will die).

    Thank s for the video. I have one very healthy leaf sprout that is now about 3-4 feet tall. It's a bit flimsy and I'm wondering if you have a video on pruning the leaves to either make the bamboo fuller, or just shorter without killing the plant and stopping all growth? Only one of my leaf stems on one bamboo shoot survived, and I've had this plant for six years, so I really want to avoid killing it. Thanks.

      +LuckyBambooGuy Follow up video?

    • @FusionDeveloper
      @FusionDeveloper 8 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      +LuckyBambooGuy Can you make a 15 second update video? Even if it's poor video quality and no talking, just to show if the stalks with no leaves, got new growth and how many of the cuttings survived. If so, add a link to it in the description of this video. You can ALWAYS make a longer, better quality "update" video, but just having SOMETHING for us to look at, would be very valuable to me. A few seconds update video that you feel is a complete failure of a video, is better than no video at all. We don't have to see you or hear you or have a stable tripod mounted camera as you did in this video, just title the video "Lucky Bamboo Update (poor video quality)".
