@@oskarm646 I heard it was both - his soprano sister in law was a braggart, so Mozart wrote this "impossible" aria hoping she would make a fool of herself, but her operatic skill was even as great as she made it out to be, and she pulled it off brilliantly, which pissed Mozart off even more 🤣

(Je lui préfère Diana Damrau ou Cristina Deutekom dans un autre style, mais S. Devieilhe a un talent indéniable, qui ne fera sans doute que mûrir avec le temps !). Je l'aime bien chantant Rameau aussi...
I like this ..even her voice is small and tiny but she did every small notes before staccato that few sopranos do.I remind to Sumi Jo( surely small voice but great technics) , Joan Sutherland...also did but her F may be not expert.All of qualifications in this role,I adore Edda Moser.
The early music movement has pressed this faster and faster and faster, it's unreal how fast it's taken now. Too much! Everything before 1800 taken like 3x the speed. Euro houses mostly. It's exciting but it's uncomfortably fast. She's great but she has that Damrau edge to her voice that makes me worried cuz she is pushing so much and I hope it doesn't go the way Damrau did, where the vibrato slows down and she blows out her voice.
Really exceptional, I'm quite floored. I don't agree much on this fashion of putting phrasing and sudden piano into the staccato, though. It's like trying to make human something that HAS to be as much inhuman as possible. It's too much, it's very unnecessary, distracting. I mean, she's phenomenal, but that phrasing, in THAT place, is totally needless. Apart of this, everything in this rendition is just unbelievable.

Pues lamento decirte que sí puede y lo hace. Sabine destacará sobre la mayoría de cantantes líricas anteriores, se abre una nueva escena, es fácil verlo, lo extraño es que no lo veas.
