    Another great honest review Si, I had considered this but went for the Tiger 850 sport, another excellent bike 👌

    Yes sir I sat on one this weekend open Triumph day in Belgium, loved it, more then sitting on my GS 1200. Yes in the bike , and 80 horses is plenty .

    Nice review. I often wonder if I choose wrongly between the Trident and the Tiger Sport. 🤣. I do love my Trident tbf but the extra wind deflector seems really nice.

      Looking forward to doing my review on the Trident will compare notes with you Gary.

    Great, informative review, Si. I'm 63 and returned to riding bikes a year ago after 20 year hiatus. Riding a Honda 500 Rebel recently, bought to get the other half back on two wheels again, I'm seriously thinking about buying the 660 Triumph sports now very soon: That triple engine is beautiful. I'm sure I'll also notice the difference in comparative seat heights. One question; in your opinion could it handle two- up touring? Thx again

    • @simotofoto
      @simotofoto  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Paul, thanks for your comment, it could handle 2 up no problem, big seat on it too and you can add a topbox with passenger back cushion.

    I have had my bike a year and it's fab and does everything I need it to do. I have the dark grey.

    This is the only Triumph I’ve actually had a shot of. Thought it was great fun, really confidence inspiring handling and the engine was lovely. Only slight thing I didn’t like was the screen on the highest setting I found was quite noisy.

    • @simotofoto
      @simotofoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers Barry, what height are you? I'm 6 foot found the screen really noisy in the low setting but found it ok in high.

    • @barrygormley1618
      @barrygormley1618 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@simotofoto I’m about 6ft as well Si. I didn’t try it on the lowest setting so maybe that would have been better for me. Still a great bike though.

    Great review Si. It's a tidy, sorted bike for sure and more of an all rounder than the 660 trident I think.
    If you're looking for bikes to test ride, may I suggest the Scrambler 900? (I will get one one day! Bit strapped for cash atm) Why is it that you always see 'perfect' examples with everything you would want on them when you have no money?!? (Ah well)
    🤔😅

      @simotofoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers Alan, we are just about to put a 900 Scrambler on the road so will get on the case very soon. Thanks again mate :)

    I would take this bike in grey, because in the past you had to pay extra for S models to get that color (at least in Canada).

    Nice video bro and thanx! Love this bike, do you think is beginner friendly or maybe to much for a first bike!? I want a bike for 60% commuting (town, work..) and 40% touring for the beginning. Regards from far away Serbia 🇷🇸 and ride safe ✌️

      Hey dude thanks, the Tiger 660 Sport is an ideal first bike bro and would be suit exactly what you are going to be using it for.

  • @gerrycollins2335

    Nearly all other reviews of the Tiger 660 complain of buffeting and noise around the helmet when the screen is raised. When it's lowered the buffeting goes, but then you don't get the wind protection which a screen should provide. You don't seem to agree?

    • @simotofoto
      @simotofoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      No I don't agree with that Gerry, I found it to be fine and a big difference in the raised position. I suppose everyone will be different with this depending on the height :)

    • @markderby22
      @markderby22 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gerry, I’ve got the Tiger 660 and agree with you on the screen about the noise in the high setting. No buffeting though. I’m 5’9 and have the lower seat which effectively makes the screen taller.

    Hi quality video.
    I’m back to biking. Looking to move on from Interceptor 650 . I’ve done 5k mikes in 2 years.
    Considering 660 sport or 900 cc bike ( bmw xr900, triumph 900 gt, Multistrada V2)
    Has 660 got enough power or would it be more comfortable on a 900 cc bike.
    I’m not looking to go touring , also thinking about Yam XSR900.
    Id appreciate your thoughts

    • @simotofoto
      @simotofoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Beverly thanks 🙏🏻 for your comment, it’s really hard to say if the power would be enough for you as everyone is different and are happy with differing amounts of power. Are you in the Glasgow area? If so we have a demo bike at the shop you are more than welcome to take out, if not I would recommend speaking to your local Triumph shop and getting a ride🤘🏼

    This is a fun bike , I have one and love it to bits .
    The rear suspension could be improved as I find it a bit harsh . [ I'm a big lad too ]. But it may smooth out in due course .
    Triumph classify this as an adventure bike , but don't supply crash bars , sump guard or pannier rails for those of us who may just take the occasional gravel road and prefer soft saddlebags . Awkward b*ggers aren't we !
    Cruise control would be a welcome additional extra and it would be handy to have the ability to turn off the rear ABS as well.
    It has a very willing engine that just wants to go go go .
    It's just as much fun as the big Tigers but a more agile , easier bike to handle in tight spaces .
    It'll get you to Moscow for sure ; and Moscow Utah , Moscow India , Moscow Ontario and that "other" Moscow .
    I like the screen , up for highway , down for the city or offroad .
    Heated grips , Oxford on mine as dealer couldn't supply Triumph grips at the time and I'm waiting for Barkbuster handguards . -both are very worthwile extras .
    Bike of the year ? Yep , you betcha !

    Sir, compared to Street Triple R 2023 which have you ridden recently, the Tiger 660 has more vibrations in the mid and top end rev range is it?
