- After a long hiatus from magnetizing, I finally sit down and build my son's riptide. It now has all weapon options. I did not magnetize the little trackers and such, but you could easily add those with 1/32 magnets if you wanted.
i just started my tau army, and your vids were of great help magetizing the crisis suits and the riptide i have, thx man
thanks, glad to help
I can't thank you enough for helping me get into magnetizing my armies..your videos are fantastic..thank you so much
Happy to help!
Thank you for the video, just getting back into Tau and converted a ton of my old suits to be magnetized. Getting a Riptide today and will use this guide :)
I thought I would need bigger magnets for my riptide, but luckily I have a bunch of 1/8 1/16 magnets lying around, great tutorial btw!
thanks
Thanks for the vid. bought my Riptide yesterday and thought about magnetizing the big guns after I saw the options it had. Your video came up second, the first one was okay, but they didn't work it as clean as you did. .
Thanks, happy to help.
Thank you so much for these videos started a few months ago and i have prettt much magnetized all my suits except the stealyh suits
How big are the magnets (in millimeter)
Thanks for this video.
Thanks for this. what size were the magnets used?
Awesome...Thank You 😃
nice video man
Great tuto continu please !
Any chance you remember the size magnets you used?
I used 19 1/8 X 1/16 magnets
Would you say a 2x1 mm magnet is enough for all of the parts? I got a sweet deal for 100 magnets of this size and I wanna magnetize all my T'au suits.
I would think that they would be a bit small for some of the bigger parts.
Thank you so much for making this video! I am going to try this, do you remember what size drill bit you used?
generally the same size as the magnet. I have a set of bits and just kind of eyeball the bit vs the magnet. I know that doesn't help much...
Sorry I missed this comment. I have a few drill vise drill bits and a few small bit. I generally just size them up against the magnet I plan to use. I always start with a small pilot hole so the larger size bits don't wander.
This is awesome thank you, any chance you can link the site you bought the magnets at
I get most of my magnets on ebay or sometimes amazon.com
didnt drill the magnets in flush enough so now my pipe part wont fit, arghhhhhhhhh.
This is my all time favorite tau model. For the support system I usually just pin them on. Check out my channel if you'd like. Awesome magnetizing buddy!
+ta24u thanks, I like that one, and the bomber is actually a pretty cool model as well. My son is just starting them up. We picked up a bunch a couple of years ago, but never got them all put together. I only played one or two games with the old codex.
For each place that you drilled did you just put in one magnet or multiple?
I just used one on each side.
