    Oh yeah henna and herbs will thicken up hair. I’m sitting with henna on my temples and sideburns right now to dye gray. I sometimes use henna without cassia and indigo and just see how the orange or red my gray temple comes out. If I do not like it I’ll mix indigo next time. I always add Amla and aloe as well. Sometime flax seed gel or powder for moisture and slip. Thank you very good and clear instructions. Some of the best I seen here on TH-cam it came out beautiful. Very natural

    Hello -thanks for sharing such useful information on hair care. I am an Indian using chemical based color for a long time now for my grey roots. I recently tried switching to henna and indigo over last few weeks and somehow my hair gets a orange tone and no change with indigo is seen. I am looking for a darker brown shade. I have tried both two step and one step combination of henna and indigo typically not adding any other ingredient. Do help me understand the right proportions for a single step application and what other ingredients would be recommended for a darkest brown color. Any help is appreciated. Thanks once again!

I did wrong and use more indigo, just saw you video 😔 I applied 20g indigo and 10g henna for my root. 20 g indigo, 30g henna, 10g amla for rest of my hair. it’s very dark brown almost black. also root color gone after 1 week. What percentage of henna and indigo do you recommend for me to get ride of the black and make nice brown color?

    • @HennaStyles
      @HennaStyles  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Try 1-step with henna snd indigo. So you need toh make a paste with henna 30% with 5-10% amla snd 1 tsp aloe vera powder. Mix all with warm (not hot) tea water and wait for dye release 3-4 hrs. Then just before you want to apply mix indigo 70 % with just warm water and make paste. Same time mix both the henna paste and indigo paste together and apply instantly . Keep on hair for atleast 4 hrs. Wash with just water. Shampoo and conditioner after 2-3days.

      No do not put yogurt. Do you have aloe vera plant ? Or pure aloe vera gel nearby ? You can add gel too double in quantity. Or you can add few drops of tea tree essential oil. It helps. After you wash with plain water. You can also put few drops of coconut or hair oil in damp hair like serum. Yogurt is good but it will not give good color.

    I have got greys, but every time when I put only pinch of henna they turned red (even with more cassia then henna and indigo in mix). Can I mix cassia and indigo only, without henna (more cassia then indigo 4/1 ratio)? Will it cover my grays in some light brown colour? Thanks.

      Try 33% each if the three and add 1 tablespoon of amla powder in the mix. I hope you are socking the indigo separately ?

      @@HennaStyles please tell me can we put some other herbs/powders in cassia-henna mix or in indigo? Shikakai, brahmi, bringraj powders? They are very good for hair too...some of them can wash hair, too. Would they change final colour on hair?

    • @HennaStyles

      I always add herbs in my henna - specially aloe vera, amla and hubiscus. You can add other too but not a lot as it will affect the color. In indigo add aloe vera always and nothing else.

    My hair colour is very very dark brown almost equal to black but not jet black n have many white hairs like 45 % so what quantity should i use n the products? 200 gm henna,100 gm indigo,70 gm amla powder,50 gm alovera powder n for Indigo i should soak it in anothe utensil for 1 hour n others for overnight n then mix them n apply for 3 hours I am a man so quantity required will be less!!

      Use 50 gm henna 50 gm indigo 1 tbsp alma and 1 tsp aloe powder. This is because i am assuming you have short hair length. Henna with amla and aloe sock for 2-3 hrs in warm tea water and indigo soak just 10 mins before you want to apply.
