    Sorry, I must be blind, incompetent or both. I do not see that button for the class. There is a description and a photo of your table and palette. 2 pieces of art and your free poster block that I’ve joined months ago. Maybe I’m in the wrong place

    Finally was able to watch this new video. Don't know how Internet service is working in your part of the state, but here on the Northern Neck it's like going back to dial-up and that's when we have service at all. Back to the video, have not been thinking about using the R&F sticks as a glaze and wonder how they would work over acrylic mixed media pieces.
    Happy to hear about your online classes. Thanks for all you do for us.

      Bob, so glad you got to tune in!! The R&F pigment sticks offer amazing glazing options! They work beautifully I’ve acrylic mixed media work! Thanks for the good wishes for the online courses! I was wondering what brand tape you use in your videos to create a border. I bought a low tack tape and it ruined my paper and I’ve tried others but the same thing happens. It would be a great help if you respond. Also, your work has inspired my degree in fine art and I wanted to thank you :) thanks for showing us techniques with cold wax

      Martha, I use 3M paint for painters- from the hardware store! It will stick too much if you leave it on for days. Try to remove it as soon as you can. I also use the white Artist tape -low adhesion- you can purchase from art stores. Thank you for watching!🎨

    I liked it before the glazing but afterwards it really popped! Am I correct in my thinking that glazing is a translucent tint and not all colors are translucent? Or, do all oil sticks have translucency? Thanks for the online classes!!

      @LisaBBoardwine  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tanya, thank you very much! Glazing means you are covering with a transparent, translucent color. Some colors are more transparent than others. On each R&F oil pigment stick label, it will say if it is opaque or transparent. A big help!

    Another fantastic piece! Thank you for sharing. Do you remember who the number stencil is by? Where you can find it?

      K.B., thank you for watching! That was a very old stencil that I picked up at an art store years ago. So sorry I don't remember who made it. If I can find another that is similar I will message you!

    Hi Lisa, Still loving your videos! Is there any finish you can use over oil and wax? The oil colors grey down and loose their vibrancy as they always do. I use Gamvar on my oils can you use that on this combination of oil/wax? Also I'm working on paper, mostly. Thank you for all your sharing!!!

    • @LisaBBoardwine
      @LisaBBoardwine  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Diane, you can use GamVar on oil/cold wax paintings, or when your painting is completely dry, you can cover it with a layer of clear, cold wax, then lightly buff for a soft sheen! Hope this helps!

      Many thanks Nancy!! It is so fun to transform an older painting, and I enjoy a warm palette to make a painting sing! Glad you enjoyed this one!
