The albino ALIEN was the VERY FIRST conception of the original Giger Xeno. But the latex was not good enough so they painted it black. some original parts still exist although very tattered and torn
I think an non-Queen leader would be a drone/warrior close to be evolving into a Pretorian. This way when they have an establish hive nest the leader can develop into a queen and start laying eggs as such to quickly enmass their numbers sooner.
It really is cool to see non xenomorph alien life in the universe, fleshes out the world greatly and makes things fun for when xenomorphs need something to interact with.
I would love to hear an analysis of Sea of Sorrows. I was thinking that Decker is actually a descendant of Clone Ripley, hence the strong psychic connection to the Xenomorphs on New Galveston.
I'm at a point where I simply don't buy any game until it has been out for a bit (at least a week or two) and has been reviewed by multiple sources, regardless of any perks offered for pre-ordering. That way I don't waste my money on a bad or unfinished game. But now I'm interested in the novel and I will have to add it to my list. Thanks for the video and stay safe out there!
After Colonial Marines I'm forever hesitant to get excited about an Alien themed game. Isolation surprised me, but I have my reservations about Fireteam. I'll wait for the reviews.
Seven reminds a lot of Six from AVP 2010 game. She was a warrior Xeno but more intelligent than her siblings. She understood Dr. Grows' orders when she was prompted to (I.e following his finger to show obedience)and even tried to escape when her test was over. It wasn't until Weyland opened the predator pyramid that caused a emp that allowed her to escape and free the rest of her kind and Queen. I highly recommend playing that game if you can such a good game.
I just finished Infiltrator last week, I really enjoyed the book! It felt Horror movie predictable, like you knew/had a feeling of what was going to happen, "oh, why are you going that way, you idiot?!" kinda thing. Some interesting experiments in universe too, so that was neat. I'm stoked for the new game, I didn't realise the book was a prequel
A translucent xenomorph would be cool. With a little CGI work it could have pulsating organs and fluid flowing through all that piping. It would also be be a chance to show off H.R. Giger's unused Alien 3 concept involving a finger-brain under the dome of the skull.

I just finished reading Infiltrator last night. And I can say without a doubt that, while Xenos are scary, Leon-895 and the Fairbanks monster took the cake for being the true 'aliens' of the book. Both were arguably more terrifying than Seven and his brood. I think that this book is perfect for a horror series adaptation

I got to speak w/ 4 playtesters, and after 40+ hours in game, they all love it, and compare it first to L4D2. I too was burned w/ Alien colonial marines, and would have never pre-ordered if not for the moving testimony of my playtester friends. Yay, optimism!

Its only a horde shooter game, the Deluxe bundle is purely cosmetic. Some reviewers has early access to the game and it sucked. It's like Bug Hunt from Aliens Colonial Marines.

They had positive things to say (obviously because if they called out the negative then cold iron would probably take back their early access) but just by watching the game play, it was zombie horde rush with Alien instead of zombies.

I really like 7's look, it is not only close to the original design as mentioned but also a breath of fresh air I guess you can say. The idea that it could fill in for a Queen when none is present is actually possible, now is it capable of doing this out of nature or more due to the introduced pathogen is the real question I have and hope the game sheds even some light on. With that said I am super pumped for the game and can't wait to show it off/ play it in a few days. I'll admit and agree a bit of me is worried as like many I was super pumped for Colonial Marines as well....till I got exposed to what it was and not what I like many figured it would be.
2:57 there are a number of ants, bees, and wasps that either have multiple queens at once living in the colony or are able to produce a new queen in the absence of one. There are a number of ways social insects used to ensure that the colony can continue on, it would fit in perfectly with what we already know about xenomorphs if they could do the same.

Fireteam Elite is actually great fun. Not super long, but exactly the kind of gameplay you’d want as a Colonial Marine, fighting off hordes of intimidating Xenomorphs with a couple buddies. What’s interesting is the backstory and attention to lore is actually pretty deep
If what I understand is correct. Its online multi-player. I don't have near the signal for that. So I am looking forward to any new lore for the expanded universe. But I'm sure I am not as excited as those playing the game. I think it was towards the end of Bug Hunt. There was a story that was from the perspective of a Drone, a Queen and a newly birthed queen. I remember being somewhat surprised at just how much thought the drone was capable of in a functioning hive. Having previously thought that was brought about by the absence of the queen. Telepathic communication certainly sounds like what we know about the queens. Not factoring in human experimentation. I would think that the mentally superior specimen. Would assert authority over the group. Likely becoming even smarter in the process. Escape containment and do what needs to be done to bring about a queen. But with human tampering who knows. Maybe the 2nd smartest will stab it in the back for a bigger share.

It was that damn Fairbanks monster that did it for me. The thought of him creeping around and possibly lurking around any corner really got to me. Even more so than Leon-895. I was bummed that he didn't tangle with any Xenos, though. That and I wished there was more synth action, but I guess the book was already chock full as it is. All in all, a great read! 😎🤘

The albino alien's design here looks really cool. The translucent dome with the skull visible underneath is terrific.
It is worth noting that xenomorphs always had that feature, but it's a lot harder see with the black exoskeleton.

Watched plenty of Alien/Xenomorph documentaries but never knew Giger first designed the creature to be translucent. Hat tip to Alien Theory’s research

Infiltrator is a decent story. It’s not as good as River of Pain or Sea of Sorrows, but it’s worth a listen.
