Bucks like to go where you're not...that's why Less is More when it comes to hunting and any kind of pressure ! ....last year I only hunted A total of 5 times Archery and gun included....and the first 3 trips I hunted marginal stands ,. Trips 4 and 5 with gun killed 2 older bucks

I love my “doe factory”. I work to build a great combination of food, cover, and security. A large number of does for sure, but every year there’s 2 mature bucks living there. During the rut, the does bring 2-3 more on from neighboring properties. I protect the mature does. I believe they increase security for all deer, including mature bucks. Yes, we take some does, and try to shoot the 2-3 yr olds.
