Shouldn't you take the leaves of the frame before replacing it?
Yes you should remove any debris sitting in the frame or housing before installing the new filter. Thank you for informing us!

Side note, thanks to everything being plastic it can be a bit annoying. Make sure you Fully Seat the filter in the housing frame before putting it back in and there's a plastic that bulges into the way, it pops right off 😉 makes it much easier

I saw another vid about this that showed the left side of car, but when I looked at my left side, the bracket was not there. But, ah, that was in UK with the right hand drive. The filter is on the passenger side!
