Does the interior of your Audi smell horrible, especially when using the air conditioning? If so, it's probably time to change your cabin filter, also known as the pollen air filter.

Hey. Audi A4 B8 2008 mileage dropping very badly, I have changed air filter, valves, spark plugs and tyres pressure oil engine oil all is up to date but still no outcome ? Last is fuel injectors left and I can’t any video on google. If you can help will be awesome.

You should do this at least each 30000 kilometers. It’s on the manual.

If it helps, each plastic screw has: >POM< G3374 written on them

I ordered a filter from ECS a few days ago. I've struggled, searched, and cussed for a while now trying to figure out if its in a different location or what the deal is... My daughter's '09 A4 2.0T Cabriolet looks nothing like that under the passenger foot-well. There are no thumbscrews, only a panel with a light. Is hers not equipped with the cabin filter because its a convertible?
I have that too on my a4 its behind the panel light keep sticking your hand threw and you will see it

I figured out the problem. Mine is an ‘09 A4 but it’s a B7 Cabriolet, this video is for the B8. My cabin filter isn’t in the footwell. It’s under the hood. Have to remove the rear cover to find the air box above the fan. Seems a bit easier to change than the footwell version. ECS tuning did send me the B8 filter though, corner notched. I’ve ordered the correct filter now.

Not sure what doing wrong but even though I place it correctly I am not able to fit it all in, it stands out around 1 cm - even the old one that I took out :/

I tried doing this on my 2012 a4 and the cover wouldn’t come off
There can be a screw holding it in. Usually it's thrown away after the first replacement.

Sab thanks for trying to help man I finally did it he should have said the cover could be stuck on there good so push and pull it back and forth
I did this on my B8.5 S4 and it still smells like shit
MasterCard run some Lysol already through the intake vent inside the car it will take care of that.
If u got smelly ac then u got mold or sorts of bacteria. A filter will only do so much.
Audi Dealership charged me $110 including the parts just to replace the filter.
