"I did your job once, I was good at it" Ridley Scott to Denis Villeneuve
pork yeah, but Ridley is just a cut of Kubrick, plus Villeneuve is still a baby in this game. Name 3 great Ridley Scott movies since Blade Runner, apart from Gladiator it's thin
Kingdom of Heaven was pretty good
@@carlrs15 agreed. Kingdom of Heaven was fantastic. Not a popular opinion i know but i think Ridley has lost it
@@starwarsroo2448Lol, wow.
Black Rain? Black Hawk Down?
@ChazUBCS they're alright, but I said " GREAT movies"
This is how sequels are supposed to be made! Plus Ryan couldn’t have played his part any better, truly truly excellent!!
Firelight Leather no
This scene will be remembered like Pacino and De Niro in Heat. Brilliant.
4:05 That's why Joe didn't answer Deckard when Deckard asks "What am I to you?" in the end of the film.
Film of the decade for me
One of the all-time great sequels. Elevated tense build up, til we see Rick Deckard again. A short return, but it's enough 😮👌
Was such a good film but it’s a shame that it never got much hype
@Eat the pork Hype - Excitement - Recognition etc are all synonymous in the context which he was using the word in. Don’t try to sound smart.
Dog drinking whiskey is always fun
Loved the second film. Hope we see a 3rd film one day.
Villeneuve said he'd love do a different story set in the same world, unfortunately who would fund it as it bombed big time, beautiful bomb though
I think we were lucky with this sequel, best to leave well alone. We have two amazing movies, be a shame if the third movie is anything but amazing.
@@starwarsroo2448 didn't bomb so much as wasn't mega profitable like everything has to be nowadays. First film was a flop, 2049 was disappointing.
@@leecroft7311 yeah Villeneuve would need to direct and sadly your right it didn't make enough.
@@jessmontgomery3454 lost 80 million for Sony ," allegedly ", that's enough
The vast majority of Sci Fi moviegoers don't want to leave the cinema pondering over the meaning of a film. They want the story to be easy and simple to understand so they can concentrate on what's important. The endless mindnumbing mayhem and explosions
Another great by true greats of the past and now.
It made me sad when the hologram lady died
thats what it should do.
Dog blatantly looking at trainer or crew off camera, zooms in and tries hide this
This film is sick
MikeThe Player Understatement but yeah, this film is sick.
2:25 too many questions.
AMazing film
This is how they should have done Han Solo, instead of whatever it was Disney did.
Pouring whiskey is very noisey
I wish I never watch this because I'm struggling to find anything that even comes close to it, every sci fi I watch doesn't compare, best sci fi movie ever in my opinion
It was pretty good but personally my favourites are Dredd, Interstellar and Gattaca. Check them out if you haven't already
Also recommend the TV shows Battlestar Galactica, The expanse, Stargate SG1
Elysium and District 9 are really good and underrated sci-fi films as well. Elysium is my favorite.
I liked this episode, what about A third movie
Cheers to strangers 🍻
Damn, never knew this existed. Original is of course brilliant and good to hear this sequel sounds pretty good. Surprisingly. Will have to check it out.
So, it's decided then !
From now on I'll be Ryan Gosling.
(It was decided with my 15 other personalities)
Was it just me but when you see the "dog" in the shadows at first I thought it would be a pet sheep?.
Cuz it was a sheepdog mate
@@starwarsroo2448 Feck me, what am I like?. "Cheers for that".
Do androids dream of electric ones? Ha ha, a sheep would have fit in with the original book nicely, I actually thought the same thing! Funny! Great film - it does the whole concept justice. :-)
@@johnnydavidauthorThat is the way I interpreted that shot, that he'd finally got an "electric sheep". Still, a nice call back to the Book.
Joe mama......I'll see myself out
What's with the 116 dislikes?
Can't see now 🥲
gone with the wind ... :)
İts wallace and his helpers
Han Solo
What's Han Solo doing?
Wrapping Paper you’re hilarious, never heard that joke before
Shooting first, that's what he does
Hasn’t yet got over his son turning to the dark side. I hope when they next meet things go well.
What was the point
Spot on do u mean the point of the blade. Lol
Can you love artificial intelligence 🦄
this comment aged well
I don't get why everyone raves over the blade runner films I don't think they are all that
Sudstah Gaming who cares what you think
@@Napoleonwilson1973 fanny
Go and watch a Marvel movie
Guys he can have his idea people like diffrent things
I didn't watch the first one... Is that why I found this one long and boring?
MuscleSheriff no go back to your explosions and chases and childish scripts.
@@Napoleonwilson1973 but I didn't like John wick 3 which had all three ... Or the latest fast and furious movie... But I do have a joke for you... What do you get when you walk over and make assumptions about people in the comments just because they don't see things the same way as most people... YOU GET WHAT YOU FUCKING DESERVE
No. It's because you're an ADHD riddled moron.
@@king0vdarkness I watch Blade Runner 2049 religiously. I am a fan of both. But I saw this one first. It's stunning, interesting for the first time but I was a little bored. I even slept during the second Wallace confrontation. But this film hooked me so I watched the first one. And I rewatched this. Boy , what a film Blade Runner 2049 is. It certainly grows on you.
Please rewatch this after seeing the original. 2049 is as better than the first one.
@@adityasanthosh702 thanks for the nice reply, unlike the rest
This was all going so well until Ford turned up 🙈
He puts in a good performance, but I don't think he needed be in it, and as soon as this scene is over, the third act is pretty bad until it delivers on the ending
What a load of rubbish film. Big flop
Yousef Bhoyroo I hope you’re joking lol
Bruh
I respect you’re opinion but you’re wrong
This a real nigga comment section, leave.
Small brained with a small dick
Harrison Ford is an utter fraud to me. Loved playing the pedo Indiana Jones but hated Han Solo literally the world's best loved action hero. His weak sauce acting in Force Awakens was pitiful. Showed the utter contempt he holds millions and millions of fans. Obviously considers himself some kind of thespian serious actor despite choosing to appear in utter drivel like Air Force One. Harrison ford has never once in his life acted. He has just played Harrison Fords limited range of emotions which is absolutely fine. Clint did exactly the same. We don't mind that. But Clint clearly was a genius as his directing proves. Ford isn't a genius. He's a pseud and his betrayal of Han the character that made him is a betrayal of all fans. He was wooden af in Blade Runner because deep down he is a shallow shallow man who somehow is young to his grave without realising the genius of the Star Wars universe. A great shame.
You’re so sad it’s pathetic.
jeezuz christ show us on the doll where he hurt you.
laughing so hard I had to keep retyping this
Bro got beef with an 80 year old man ☠️
Without agreeing or not, why is Harrison Ford usually involved in a story with missing family?
