Blade Runner Blackout, is an animated "Movie" but its not very long. Then if you want more information on Wallace. Watch Blade Runner Lotus. A 13 episode anime that really takes a deep dive. But fills in a lot of games in BR2049. Good luck.
Thanks for this video! This helped me understand what was going on in the movie. I just rented it today, because the previews of it looked really good. I have not seen the original film. 13:47 Don't see how Deckard could be the same model as Rachael because of Deckard's background as a BR. I'm twice as quit now."
For me it was confusing because i did not see the prequel - so it was my fault thinking i would catch up during the first 30 mins or so. However, this video clarifies a lot. Also, ironically, even though i did not see the 1st one i like the acting. Wish i could have seen more of ryan gossling and harrison ford in the same scenes. Lastly, being biased to the above-mentioned actors it is heart-wrencing to know that the good actors of yesteryear are getting old and these new actors - who, like ryan gosling, are great and few and far between - have to face the wokeness of Hollywood to survive. I say that to bring home the point that although these younger actors can act they still would want to be relevant and get a pay cheque and it seems they would have to succumb to the political correctness of a message in every movie. It begs the question: Have we come to an apocolypse of cinema?

The movie is basically a sci-fi remake of The Maltese Falcon. Every character desires something. The main focus is Anna, but others have personal goals. For example Luv wants Wallace to see that she is the perfect replicant, not Anna. Deckard is the only person, who doesn't want anything but gets what the rest are after. Yet just like the statue Anna isn't what people obsessed searching for them expect. One is fake while the other is flawed.
Love these movies, both of them are top five of all time in my opinion.
