"Run back home, little princess" those five words ignited most of the events from thor's point of view. From being banished and meeting Jane Foster to creating Stormbreaker and fighting Thanos.

His intent was for Odin to stop them, see that Thor was reckless and unfit to lead, and have his brother's coronation delayed even further. Come on. Did you even watch the movie?

Looking back at this scene, Thor really is the villain here. He's killing a ton of Frost Giants who are defending their homes, just cause of an insult, and he's enjoying it. Fandral is wounded and it's Loki who saves him, while Thor is uninterested cause he's having too much fun. Killing during a war is a necessity, but it shouldn't be a sport

For some reason this is the most memorable fight in the whole mcu for me, seeing as thor was one of my starter films to the cinematic universe. The absolute synergy of it is amazing. Thor and his friends fight like real norse warriors, roaring and shooting angry looks at their enemies.
Prolly cause it revealed more than just the outcome. A good amount of the big fights tend to happen after all the info is set.
-This entire war and movie were started because Thor couldn't handle being called a girl as a provoking insult, and I don't think Loki was the only one with that reaction
-Thor's lack of thinking in marching into battle on enemy territory with no confirmation of how this happened, unsurprisingly outnumbered (did he think this realm had a population of 10?)
-Loki actively deescalating nearly to the point of escape without lifting a weapon
-Loki self discovery part 1, terrible timing too
-Impeding consequences if they make it home after this

So like I always forget that Loki, despite being the God of mischief, was the more forgiving brother at first. Thor was the one who wanted to destroy everything and fight wars that made no sense. Overtime he learns the right path, while his brother is stuck under Odin's thumb of lies and treachery.
But here we are nine years later
I hate the fact that Thor is considered a hero after being a warmonger for hundreds of years, and Loki is considered a villain for like 3 years of craziness in his whole life

It wouldnt have the same effects. Sometimes characters have to be messed with for storylines if writers dont know what to do. They could have done more with his character, but I think they wanted the focus to be on Cap. A and Stark.

This was the Thor aura that I liked. It really showed his character as a god. I understand his character development and being more calm & not seeking war concept but ragnarok was too childish. Thor was too loose after all he was about to lose his home and people forever

The little princess line is kind of funny because in the mythology, Thor DID dress up like a princess[pretended to be Freya], along with Loki as a bridesmaid, one time when Mjǫlnir was stolen by the king of the 'giants' Þrymr. That whole scene ended with Thor killing all of them too.
