- The European Truck Racing Championship (ETRC) has returned to Misano with the first racing weekend of the 2024 season. Truck racing is a world of its own when it comes to motorsport. Weighing approximately 5,500 kg, these vehicles use 13-litre engines with a substantial single turbo. The power is monstrous; we are talking about values between 1,200hp and 1,500hp and 5,500Nm of torque! Yes, you read that correctly! This allows it to accelerate from 30 to 160 km/h in less than six seconds. You can well imagine the show put on by the 14 trucks when they are side by side. Each race always offers a lot of fun; crashes, rear-end collisions, overtakes and going off the track are frequent. The video you see refers to Saturday, 25 May; I collected the material produced during the test laps, the Super Pole, the qualifications, and finally, the two races both won by the Hungarian driver Norbert Kiss on MAN, who will also win the remaining ones two races on Sunday returned from Misano with a complete haul of points. L'European Truck Racing Championship (ETRC) è tornato a Misano con il primo weekend di gare della stagione 2024. Le gare dei camion sono un mondo a parte per quanto riguarda il motorsport. Con un peso di circa 5.500 Kg questi veicoli impiegano propulsori da 13-Litri di cilindrata dotati di un'enorme singolo turbo. La potenza è mostruosa, stiamo parlando di valori compresi fra i 1.200cv ed i 1.500cv e ben 5.500Nm di coppia! Si, avete letto bene! Questo permette di accelerare da 30 a 160 Km/h in meno di sei secondi. Potete ben immaginare lo spettacolo messo in scena da dalle 14 motrici quando sono uno affianco all'altro. Ogni manches regala sempre tanto divertimento; sportellate, tamponamenti, collisioni ed uscite di pista sono frequenti. Il video che vedete si riferisce alla giornata di Sabato 25 Maggio, ho raccolto il materiale prodotto durante i giri di prova, la Super Pole, le qualifiche ed infine le due gare vinte entrambe dal pilota Ungherese Norbert Kiss su MAN che si aggiudicherà anche le restanti due gare della Domenica tornado da Misano con un bottino di punti completo. Ciao Matteo, molto bello il video, che spettacolo quando si sorpassano dei mezzi così, o fanno le curve in controsterzo. Se il padrone di quel cane, lo teneva slegato solo perché è sempre stato buono, è un vero cretino.

Le gare sono sempre divertenti e belle da vedere, lo spettacolo non manca mai e sicuramente i piloti non si fanno problemi a "spingersi" ed a "sportellarsi" 😂 L'unica nota stonata è che ogni anno ci sono sempre meno spazi disponibili per il pubblico e questo è un vero peccato. Se hai modo di notare vedrai che i prati sono vuoti così come il 70% delle tribune perchè era interdetto l'accesso. Cosa che invece qualche anno fa era permesso. Questo è un vero peccato; la gente potrebbe vedere tanti punti della pista e non sarebbe costretta ad ammassarsi in pochi posti. Quindi punto negativo per organizzazione/autodromo sotto questo aspetto. Per quanto riguarda il cane è andata bene che tutto si è risolto senza problemi.

Personally, it's better because F1 in Monaco is boring, while these races are fun 😉
merci bien, c magnifique, ces camions sont de vrais "monstres" , une bugatti sort environ +1000 NM de couple, ici C 5 fois plus, C démentiel, il y a un pilote (allemand mais pas sûr) qui a effectué une montée de course de côte il y a quelques années avec un engin" terrible (Man ou Mercèdes) qui développait 1500CV si mes souvenirs sont bons, en tous cas, grand merci!!🤩👍👍👍
Vous vous souvenez exactement de ce camion et de cette montée, je pense avoir vu cette vidéo sur TH-cam tellement de fois. Si on réfléchit aux chiffres, c'est vraiment fou de penser que le couple de ces moteurs est 5 fois supérieur à celui de la meilleure supercar du marché... 😅👍

The tradition of truck racing in Europe and Italy has been going on for 40 years. There is a long tradition, and it's a beautiful championship. This is the only stage they do in Italy; I will try not to miss it when I can. Indeed, you Americans have a lot of motorsports in your big country, and we Europeans always watch what you do with great interest. But as you can see, even here in Europe, we are busy 😂 Can you be more specific about the Moped races you told me about?

I know nothing about the moped racing except for what I have read in old motorcycle technical books that they exist(ed). One author from the UK talked about a Suzuki with nitrous that could make 9HP for a race duration.
@@upsidedowndog1256 Unfortunately I'm not aware of this kind of races and vehicles. The world of motorsport in Europe is very varied, there is a huge difference between England and Italy and certain competitions are only present in specific countries.
