That's always what I think. Same for the Baja trucks. Those may look like hay bales but it is not hay inside.
There are deeply rooted tree trunks behind most of the hay bales. They do not move.
I guess it might simply trip over the top of them, though.

I have fond memories of the brutal DAF Turbo Twin in the Paris Dakar. I think the Kamaz is limited to 140km/hr whereas the DTT could do over 200km/hr
