Just in case it hasn’t been told here if you want to get rid of some of the wrinkles or air bubbles in the napkin & Deco Podge form. I cut out a cling wrap bunch it up then dap on the areas and a lot of it smoothes out so we’ll. It’s like magic. Love your work.

Loved your video! I also use napkins and book pages in my crafts. I usually prepare the top layer of the napkin with Mod Podge first to make it stronger so I can cut it, rip it, etc. I love your technique of adhering the top layer straight onto the book page. Fabulous!!

I love the idea of using old books, though I also hate to see them damaged. Two hints, if you lightly dampen your thumb and index finger, then gently pinch the corner of the napkin, the layers separate easier. Also, if you add the napkin dry to the page and put the glue over the top, it helps keep wrinkles out and there’s less chance of tearing it. Beautiful job.

I know this is an older video, but I just caught it and I am wondering where you find those neat napkins at? I have been looking all over and all I find are usually plain colors or ugly designs. Sure like to get some neat napkin designs to work with. The technique you are doing is so much fun.

I bought a church hymnal from resale with the intention of doing a page craft. I’d go to it, and walk away from it for awhile, finally got up the nerve to go for it. I love the hymnals because they have the musical bars, notes and words. They make a wonderful base under translucent napkins and lace. So I know what others are talking about when they cringe at pages being torn from books. It’s best to have one or 2 books that are used for this purpose. We surely don’t want pages torn from multiple books.
