I bought a new Golf GTI A few years ago and found after i bought it, it was wrecked and sold as new. It happened at Port. Found out this happens all the time. When new cars are damaged at Port, They will just repair it before it ever makes it to the dealership and they don't have to disclose this if the damage is under a certain percentage of the cars value. With all those little issues you might want to get it professionally checked at a body shop
Nice, honest review of the car. I had a Corolla years ago, and I liked it very much. I sold it to someone else and they continued to drive it for years. I replaced it with a Honda Civic, which was reliable (except for the heater core), but I never liked it the way I liked the Corolla. However, my Corolla had a sun-roof and alloy wheels.
@Jan96106 yeah as much as I like their higher trim packages I wanted to be frugile with my purchase to save for a house maybe next time I will get the sunroof
Nice review. I have a Camry SE with 11k miles and none of the plastic issues you've had. I agree that you should look into whether your car was one with damage or had an accident at the port. These will go for a while. Congrats.
@@thomaskim5008 you must have qualified for the $500 new grad rebate and possibly a few other rebates, otherwise such a low price is very unlikely for.a high demand low supply vehicle like the Toyota Corolla
It needs a good wax job. I use NuFinish in the orange bottle. If you clean 🧽 it more inside and out you will enjoy the car more. I kept my 09 Corolla til 180,000 miles.
I'm impressed automatic climate control comes standard on the base model. A/C was optional on my base '03 corolla lol - the lack of intermittent windshield wiper speeds was also a problem. You could swap in an intermittent windshield wiper stalk from a higher trim corolla. Please keep the headlights on auto. It's not a nuisance to other motorists and it keeps you visible and safe. In Canada, daytime running lights are mandatory.
Nice review, i have mine at 8months now, the dirt on the side skirt is terrible but it is what it is. I clean the car everyweek but lol. It's good commute car. Mine is SE btw and don't have issue with the plastic thing you mentioned. Mine was made in Japan with J Vin number. I did change oil at 1k and 5k, the car is at 7.5k miles now.
Have a few Questions for you. Waiting for the same car first the price was sales tax included and is it a 60 or 72 month loan? Even if your paying 260 a Month for 72 months that comes out to 18,720. From what your saying at 21 Thousand you got a good deal. The Sticker on the one im waiting for is around 23,500 LE Base Model with matts plus the sales tax is another 1500. Good luck with your new ride Thanks. It's a 2.0. It also has 2 types of Fuel Injection Port and Direct Injection. When you have some spare time read the Owners Manual i plan to do the same.
Great video! I'm trying to get one for myself, love the look and economy. About changing the battery: You can attach a small 12V battery to the + and ground before taking the old battery out, so that the car never knows you took the battery out. (plus the radio and other systems won't forget anything) Cheers!
We have had ours 6 months, its the le but with the convenience package so keyless start remote start, it's been nothing but great, I told my wife for the money you can't beat it
I got a used one with 14k miles and the drivers side of the front fender popped out a little bit, it took some effort to get it to stay in place properly. It's also missing the drivers side wheel well which I did not notice until after buying it and that is extremely concerning to me because that along with the drivers side front wheel have to be removed to change transmission fluid. Also, I somehow got it in my head the nice full plastic floor mats were included with the LE which is not the case. I picked up a nice front and back set on amazon for $60. I work at a thoroughbred racetrack so they are pretty much required.
Bought the same car and color. CV runs smooth, no whining noise and seats are comfy. The fabric seats are of good fabric quality. I'm surprised about the 0w8 oil. It's so easy just get a trolley jack and some stands do it yourself. And go ahead and put a new oil pressure switch in it when you hit 100,000 miles. Better safe than sorry and it cost like $20.00. On my 09 Corolla mine ruptured at about 140,000 miles and slowly leaked out all my oil and the very thing that was supposed to warn me about low oil pressure is what leaked all my oil out and failed to warn me because when it ruptured apparently the switch got stuck pressed in. I heard a buzzing noise going around corners and took it to the dealer. They told me I needed a new engine. All I needed was 4 &1/2 qourts of oil and a new pressure switch that cost $20.00 amd I replaced it myself. Literally ran the car out of oil and 1 & 1/2 years later my 09 Corolla still runs like the day I bought it in the fall of 08! I did catch it early though cause I hardly ever listen to the radio.
