As a CB user I've began to notice that my damage has been not as effective as other people and their weapons seeing this helps alot
Yeeeeeees. I started using the Elemental CB builds after the previous videos, and I've had a blast with them! So ever since I saw that Silver Rath's armor helped Elemental builds, I've been awaiting this update video.
Elembane only works on parts that are 25 or higher. Better to use the various elemental rampage gems.
elembane works on hitzone of 25 or above.. element exploit i think work on 20 or more hit zones .. so sometimes anti species jewel is better .. check your hunter notes and know the monster hitzones before going to the hunt
does anti species jewel increases elemental dmg as well?
@@pokinginpractice9108 am not sure but i think it give 5% damage to both raw and elemental that is for all hitzones so it can be better if the monster doesn't have hitzones of 25 or above
@@ahmedsultan9806 to clarify, it exploit decos are only 5% raw, no bonus element, but will prob be better than daora soul damage wise if elembane doesn't work.
Elembane only kicks in if a monster has at least 25 weakness on an part to that element. Because thats such a small pool of monsters on average your going to get more dps swapping to the monster type weakness specific rampage deco.

The Ice CB is just so fun to use against afflicted Diablos and Seething Bazel cuz both of em are weal to ice. Pure bliss
So I know that for impact phials, your phial damage is affected by Artillery and Dango Bombardier. Does either of those affect elemental phials? My guess would be no, since you didn't include them.

Alright I have never played charge blade since I am a hunting horn main and only ever played hunting horn since mh3u but seeing this weapon and how insane it is to me at least, what would you recommend as a beginner and I mean just booting up a new fresh hunter low rank build for this weapon cause I'm interested in trying out this weapon.
I started with mh world and was eager to try the charge blade but I was super lost at first. So, I ended up using the switch axe as my first main weapon and I feel like it's much simpler but helps get used to a transforming weapon. It was really helpful. I have since played all the weapons extensively and that's my recommendation for you. HH actually has more depth than people realize so I think you shouldn't have too difficult of a time learning them. Good luck and happy hunting!
Edit: Also for getting into charge blade I'd recommend a raw impact phial build because it's much more well rounded when you're starting out.
As another newish player who started with the horn but switched to Charge blade, do it. It's amazing

Has anyone tried status builds on CB? All I do is slot in a status CB into my impact set. Was wondering if there was anything better out there

and whatever else you want in the last lvl 1 Jewel slot you have left? There's is clearly plenty of room for Magazine+ and Bolt+ so there really isn't any need for using the lower tier jewels to give the same skills they provide

Just want to mention that Axe Hopper is nice, but it still doesn't reach the damage potential of Counter Peak Performance. Takes forever to get the move off and when you do, you have to charge your phials back up or skill swap to CPP.
But with CCP, you can start combat, monster roars you counter it with CPP, instantly charge your shield, monster usually follows a roar with another attack, so CPP that attack straight into a SAED. If you grabbed a 3rd Wirebug before starting fight, WHICH YOU ALWAYS SHOULD BE, then monster attacks again, CPP into 2nd SAED which usually triggers for KO on monster, leading to a 3rd SAED.
Axe Hopper just can't compare and only really use it on monsters with weird hit boxes/models, like Amuldron. Against Diablos, just aim for that bitches wings and hit for 4k every SAED.
As a charge blade main I agree with most of this and reserve axe hopper for when the monster is trapped/knocked over and for sleep hits (though ive been starting to use counter morph gp with small Barrel Bombs for them recently for sleep hits.) You just have to be pretty mindful about using CPP though, as a lot of monsters at this point have multiple combos/multihits, and you cant CPP into another CPP
I like sad but I'm not the biggest fan of sad spam. I've been enjoying savage axe with ready stance a ton.
Will you guy do lance element build in future? Since element got buff so much combine lance also getting popular lately.

I hate the augment system. I burnt through all my amber essence and only got Chain crit once. But I ended up losing Element exploit in the process. I wish augments couldn't take skills.

I love charge blade, but I rarely use axe hopper so I don’t really know its damage output outside of “it’s stronger than base SAED”

It doesn’t affect the phials themselves, it just makes the axe hit stronger. Granted I’d still recommend it since you can adjust it mid air for easier aiming.
The boost from counter morph IS actually much stronger ‘cause AH boost only the damage of the actual hit of the axe but not the phial damage, making the cycle of peak counter SAED and guardpoint more efficient, but AH is still pretty strong and super fun to use so you can chose whichever you prefer.
Also I wanted to pin out that elembane actually works on Eweakzones of 25 or higher so i think it’s actually more consistent to use the antispicies instead cause very few monster have Eweakzones that high, so better have always that 10/5% more damage on every single hit
@@saurianfan7102 I see, so if you want to maximize elemental damage, you do actually want to use counter morph SAED over Axe hopper then. It seems like Axe Hopper is good for wake ups I guess.

I tried this build but with only 2 levels of chain crit. After a couple of hunts seems like i get better numbers with dereliction.

So my question is (and maybe I don't understand the MH damage equations) would it be better to not waste 4 augment slots to upgrade the rampage deco from tier 2 to tier 3, to fit elembane and +3 ele.
Or just settle with the innate tier 2 rampage slot, slot in an anti-monster deco, and go for +9 element and +5 attack on the augments?
Maybe the 20% boost you get from elembane is just that much better, but is there a chance that the ant-monster rampage deco, with the +9 element, and +5 attack make up for it in pure DPS?
Does artillery not affect element phials? Have I been hampering my builds all this time? Cause otherwise that 30% to phial attacks seems impossible to argue against, even at the cost of stormsoul for example.
Artillery does not work with element phials, it does work with impact phials lol

same thing happened to me when I realized offensive guard doesn't buff elemental phial damage. LOL
If numbers hover around 185+/- why do some phial burst show up as 400+ on your gameplay? I’m slapping together my ele builds and I can’t get past 120 phial dmg
I get 3-400 hundred without complete builds, you got to be sure you have the right weakness and you're hitting the right hitzones to get the damage high though.

AFAIK artillery doesn't do anything with element phials. This is, at least, how it worked in previous games. Artillery only effected impact phials

I have a question about Skills
Is using artillery not good as its mentioned in the skill that it boosts phial damage but never see any builds using it?
Artillery is only essential for Impact Phial Charge Blades, since it gives a HUGE 30% buff to impact phial damage. Unfortunately Elemental Phial Charge Blades are unaffected by Artillery and only scales off of elemental damage and skills that modify it.

What talismans are being used in this?
I guess the downside to augmenting armor is that if you want to use it for a different build, you better hope the skill you rolled integrates well
You always can craft the same armor piece again, you don´t have to use the same one for everything
Is it better to commit to chain crit 3 or to commit to storm soul 4, which one is more efficient to slot in?
Chain crit at lvl 1 gives the most of the effect, chain crit lvl2 and 3 actually pretty weak step in dmg

This is great! The only thing I would say is I encourage folks to find a way to squeeze that last rapid morph into these builds if you find a talisman that allows you to have that and keep your chain crit.
I just bought Rise 2 weeks ago, put in 70 hours and ended in around HR54.
I got Sunbreak yesterday and the difficulty spike was really noticeable. Havent carted yet but been jugging way more potions in MR quest because my build was still ass with little to no gems.
Should I just try to catchup on sunbreak? Really wanted to play all base Rise quest at it original difficulty, but reach Master gear means i just dump everything (which I have not really grinded much yet) other than gems.
I mean you can still use stuff from lower ranks so you could catch up with Sunbreak content specially since next update is on September (we don't know if it is early/mid/late September tho but if it follows August date, Update 2 might be in 3~3 weeks and a half) and still do the base Rise game with base Rise stuff.
Like if you want the challenge yourself, you can disable skill swap and you could craft high rank armour to play base Rise stuff. Most of the new stuff is gated as post-game or 1 rank before post game so for most Sunbreak you can only use the old talisman crafting and craft MR armours/weapons. Talismans are gated as post game content as the new melding options are given to you until you defeat the final boss of the main story, same with armour and weapon augments as they need afflicted mats which are post game content, decos follow almost the same trend as well as the new rarities need almost end game mats.
Play the game at your own pace, that's the most important thing but there's nothing stopping from experiencing both OG Rise and Sunbreak.
@@gwagner1380 I made the option to reach MR4 for skills (which were the main reason i wanted the dlc so bad) then stop there and continue playing base Rise grinding gems and working on my weapon trees etc. Wont be making Master armor since that would trivialize the Rise grind to boring mode for me.
1 guy in my group havent bought the dlc yet so we are holding out to play the story together.

Well at least it is a nice thing that most of the op stuff is gated as post-game so you don't have to worry about ruining your experience on base game as much by getting overpowered. Hope you and your group have a blast catching up with the game!
I suggest crafting MR armor if you're using more potions in MR hunts.
Even low rank MR armor once upgraded is better than fully upgraded HR armor.
When it comes to MR think of it as a hard reset when it comes to armor. Fire up a survey mission (the one with unlimited time) and go farm gathering points so you can craft some basic rise gear to get you started. For weapons just craft the Kamura set of your preferred weapon until you can craft the weapon you prefer. Good luck and have fun is the final tip I can give you as well

Idevaste is a lot more meta and focuses more on offensive skills, this video is a lot more for casual players, the skills are generally the same. the only striking difference is that Idevaste has shown the calculation and would suggest using element level 3 attack boost level 1 as augment instead of using the rampage deco for elembane because it will do a lot more damage on all parts compared to elembane that will only work on monsters with hitzones 25 and above.

At yellow charge instead of red, you get full 5 phials so the phials charge in half the time. It has to be load shells 2 though

Sorry for the stupid question, but i dont understand the "Load shell"-skill. If i use it under the staminabar there are 5 Phials and if i dont use it there are also 5 Phials. So whats the benefit of "Load shell" ?
loads your shells at yellow charge instead of at red. So when your phials turn yellow you can load your five phials and use them.

Ya know, you'd take a lot fewer hits if you didn't constantly over extend.
SAED play is heavily about reacting to the monster. So if the monster is just moving between actions, it's usually best to just not do anything or only swipe with your sword. You spend a lot less time in your hunts flying backwards and a lot more time hitting the monster when you learn to be chill for a sec.
Impact saed is dead, swap to css for raw gameplay
My first experience with elemental CB in Sunbreak was after I got the Auroracanth CB, I saw Diablos as a key quest and thought "Hmm, lets give elemental Charge Blade a try"
