Brachydios's flashback of training is still the best and most epic moment of monster hunter stories.
It reference the flashback in punch out
Legit I only used it on enemy that almost died so that I can make it look more epic
It's actually significantly more incredible if you know about Brachydios lifestyles, which showcase that the parents are indifferent towards the hatchlings. Said hatchlings who try to use the slime mold too young actually blow themselves up, horrifically maiming or outright killing themselves in an uncaring world. This is because their body hasn't grown the shell needed to withstand the blowback.
The training montage is your rider in the "timeskipped training between hatching and saddled up" where you personally worked your ass off to help your brachydios toughen up and be able to use the slime mold to 100% effectiveness.
The montage is now the memories of how it was YOU who did all that, and how THEY want to repay your gift.
Bachidios is truly an anime protagonist.

I love how in this video, getting hit by an explosive fire beam, thunder blast, tsunami, cyclone, multiple cuts and stabs, and direct attack from FREAKING ancient elder dragons dealt lesser damage than getting ran over by a slipping Popo

I love how Ratha's kinship has a different animation from a normal Rathalos, sucks that you can't see it from the gallery though
Even more knowing that he has two kinships and you barely get to see the first one.
I can't believe how hard some of these go. Seeing all the kinship skills was definitely a major driving point in collecting all the monsters.
Nargacuga's is so sick!! Zinogre's as well, and they kept the funny Brachy one from MHS1.

Just love these animations so much, they're all so expressive and alive looking, and each show off every individual monsters personality and abilities! One animation can tell you everything you need to know about a monster!

Keep in mind that some of these are some of the most savage and unstopable beast in all of the monster hunter lore, and this shows that its possible to more or less tame them.
Bazelgeuse just seems so unnatural without the telltale "hold on to your butts!" music. :D

If Stories 3 ever comes out, it'd be nice if some of the kinships were to revamped or changed to look like the Stories 1 kinship (Hot take: Rathian's was better in the first game). An interesting thing they could do with Silverwind is make him move so fast that his after-images are attacking before finishing-off with the tail slash of Stories 2.

So this helped me determine that Brachydios's kinship skill is quite possibly the best thing I have seen in a video game
I miss my diablos on the first game... I rarely used other monsties because he tanks almost everything except any ice attack... And glad to see the elder dragons that was supposed to be on the English 1.3 update of the game we never had...
I accidently modified mine into a fire monstie, resulting it to obtain red horns. It used him whenever Ratha would be at a disadvantage and he just looked awesome with the red horns.

Seeing all the 'raptor' monsters make we want some ultimate raptor species, fights like a hyper aggressive version of them that's twice as big
They are special co-op kinships like the double Nergigante one
No not really, they do change explosion when both monstie use a element attack of the same type as the other (fire + fire = flame tower
), but don’t get recorded into the kinship gallery though
It seems Seregios has learned to open the gate of Babylon.

All these attacks are epic, and all of that's just because of the idea of being able to ride these monsters and deal crushing damage to your opponent.
And mostly not in place. See instantly snow region right in savanna and nonexistant ceiling for khezu...

The Brachydios was the most epic of all, because for those who don't know, at birth they end up abandoned by their parents and become the prey of other monsters and the training flashback shows us how we can stand out from the others, since while they raid Other adults in the wild, there will be others who will grow greatly, thanks to the hard work and the support of your loved ones.
