@@ru2225 I have two switches including the lite, and no they are not. When I play handheld I use the lite every time because it makes way more sense and doesn’t feel like I’m holding an iPad. But guess what they didn’t make a switch lite oled so this was really a waste. And most people already have the lan adapters for their switch you can get them for like $5 bucks at Walmart.
I wouldn't recommend it, obviously if you want it buy it but at least in my opinion it isn't worth it (if you dont already have a switch and want to play nintendo games then yeah buy it, but if you already have a switch its not worth it at all.)

please compare to regular switch (Maximum brightness, minimum brightness, maximum sound loudness and battery life with playing Breath of the wild on 50% brightness and flight mode)

@LisboKate No, you definitely could hear the difference in a loudness test between both the speakers if it was being recorded through a camera with a mic or through a microphone. People do these test all the time when a new IPhone, or new generation tech comes along with better speakers then the predecessor.

Man, OLED is really game changer. Even in cameras we can see how much better the image looks better on it.

Its only a game changer for the casuals who just play it handheld. It offers nothing to the docked users who use a much better monitor to play and see the small details more clearly, especially in more competitive games like Smash.

I'm so excited! the new stand is huge for me. Seeing it not be the tiny flap is so nice.
I’ve been using my og switch a little bit on holiday and the kickstand is useless on anything that isn’t a completely flat solid surface. Also the battery life is so bad now.

The oled would be great if it actually came with CPU and GPU upgrades. As someone whose Switch never really leaves the dock, it is a big pass for me.

Lol blame youtubers for making up fake rumors about a switch pro 12 times over the last 3 years for your expectations...sure, nintendo could release a slightly more powerful handheld for the switch but it wouldn't be worth it. just like the gameboy color to the game boy, the dsi to the ds and the new 3ds xl to the 3ds xl, there were only a handful of exclusives for it....why? because why tf would devs want to make games that ran on switch's that only a small portion had, rather than make it worth with the original specs so that everyone could play it??? nintendo did exactly what worked, which was to offer a better screen, battery and dock redesign.
The funny thing is that Nintendo did improve the CPU & GPU years ago but they havent make the choice to take advantage of it. Maybe when the 20nm Tegra X1 population diminishes they will allow new clock modes?
This is pretty cool but I’ll be keeping my OG Switch and I mean the real OG Switch with the bad battery life.

The video actually shows the reflection of light on the glossy logo, not the dock itself lighting up.

This is super cool, the question I have is how do you feel about the dock and the possibility of the screen becoming scratched with this dock revision? I use a dock sleeve I bought to protect my screen on my current screen. I might get one for this switch when it comes In for me. I would really like to know if there's a small gap between the screen and dock or if it fits snug in the dock. Thank you so much and I hope to hear from you.
Based on the reflections I’ve seen from videos, the screen might even be glass.. or harder than it used to be
I personally use a glass screen protector, they’re quite cheap and it still fits fine in the dock.
@@myrealusername2193 I pre ordered a case that was recommended by target that comes with a screen protector for the oled so il definitely be applying it when I get it. My girl is excited because she gets my switch v2 and it's in perfect condition. Been pretty excited about this. And I got vacation coming up so I get to enjoy it in peace
I honestly think anyone who doesn’t have a screen protector on their switch to begin with is being dumb
Theres a very thin film over the Switch OLED screen, I wouldn't put a screen protector on it because if you have to replace the screen protector, the thin film will come off.
A lot of mid to high end tvs have this too, its to help protect the screen and help reduce glare/reflections from objects.
I might still have the OLED Neon to open on Christmas Day tomorrow and I got 11 Nintendo Switch Consoles in my Nintendo Switch Gaming Collection over the years.

Could you look at different screen protectors for the OLED and how well they work?

The white Joy-Cons with the black grip makes it kinda look like a Collingwood Magpies themed controller
My switch has tons of scratches from the dock where the bezel is so I'm curious to if we have a new slimmer bezel is if the dock is now better separated so it won't scratch the screen itself since less bezel is there.
Thats precisely why I bought a screen protector back when I picked up a switch.

@@TheInsideByte plastic can't scratch glass, fortunately! My launch switch's screen with a glass screen protector on it still looks like it's new even after heavy use docking and undocking it. So that's not a concern and a screen protector will always be a good investment.
That’s probably down to the old switch using a plastic screen which will scratch very easily. Oled screen will be much tougher

When you were showing the dock sideways, it looked like the opening was wider with smooth rails to give the screen more space and protect it from scratches. Or was that just an optical illusion?

I was deciding to buy a switch during Christmas. So I got the regular animal crossing switch off of Amazon…. 4 weeks later it was lost and I got refunded my money. I kept looking n looking and I saw the oled brand new at GameStop with 9 in stock. This GameStop was 45 minutes away and I’m happy I drove to that GameStop and got the switch. The next day they went out of stock😭

It's normal to be able to snag a device earlier than official launch date. I got may Zacian & Zamazenta edition here in the Middle East I think five days before official launch. Was pretty cool.

I love getting stuff early. I remember UPS dropped off Halo 2 for me a few days before launch. My friend and I beat the entire campaign before it even launched. TWAS AMAZING!!!

I'm all about screen quality not processing power, I play mainly indie games and retro games (yes I'm old lol). Might be a future purchase for the screen alone 👍

I'll stick with the OG Switch until the Steam Deck gets released then the Mrs can have the Switch. I don't get why people are upgrading to this. All you will see is jaggy lines in more detail!

No upgraded internals no upgraded graphics just only a bigger screen what an absolute let down.
Yeeeah, it really doesn't make sense to get it if you already have a Switch. Unless your selling/passing the old model to someone else, or something.
The screen isn't bigger, it just has thinner bezels and it has a much better display. I really don't know what you guys expected, the switch is only four years old they aren't gonna make a substantial hardware refresh yet.

It’s not really for an upgrade and more for someone’s first switch or if someone really needed a replacement. It’s not a switch pro and people need to get over it. It’s not the switch people wanted it to be.
great share! I definitely can't see myself buying an OLED but I think this has convinced me if my normal Switch ever breaks and I need a new one I'll jump on the upgrade... unless they come out with an actual Switch Pro that's still has a handheld mode lol.
My biggest worry is with the satisfye grip. I use my switch daily with that grip for the past 2 years or more it feels like. I got my grip shortly just after they launched and I can't express how amazing it is. I'm just curious if everything I currently have works.
