    Like any complicated machinery it takes time to know the ropes. Just turn on Auto Steer, step out of the cab and watch the tractor harvest you neighbour's crop. The neighbour says it works really well.

    Most of our guidance is in straight lines, Because Our Mowing, Tedding, Raking protocol First is to mow 6 field perimeter rounds and then completing the rest in sections........The latest arrival (6R145) is factory equiped..... with guideance plus the newest 4x5 round baler(460R) is Isobuss intergrated to control the baling functions of the tractor......

      We have gradually migrated to rows except for cutting. It took too much time to do rows cutting. If this can cut rows cleanly and in about the same time or less than circles, I'll consider continuing it :D

      The RTK is a much better way to go. Likely the tractor you used was using WAAS which is not as precise. I haven't tried one to the other, but a farmer friend had both on his tractors and was not happy with the WAAS hook-up. Everything I've read online says RTK is the way technology is going. That's what drone use to fly with too.

      I would find a tractor forum with an area regarding autosteer. Each system is a bit different, and sometimes the cheap systems cut corners and don't use the most current technology for connecting to satellites. So if you run into any issues they can certainly help out a bit. But the videos will at least give you a general idea of what to expect with most systems ;D

I'm not the kind of person that stops to tell U, you have a flat. then drives away! though I am a complete stranger! Ugh. I have a backup cam I love that I use for my fertilizer carts when I rent them. I was devastated when the cart chain broke and sent my camera tumbling to be lost in my field. I can't tell ya how many times I jump in and out checking to see if the bin is empty yet! I eventually DID find it, thankfully!

    Great video, thinking about buying either this system or the Fjdynamics at2 systems, does the f100 monitor have a USB port, and can u store / save all your field data and is the software free? Thanks any help would be appreciate in making a decision

    • @This1LifeWeLive
      @This1LifeWeLive  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It does have a USB port both for updates and for field data storage. The basic software comes with the system, but they have the option for the upgraded software which allows for the U-Turn function. I have been playing with that lately and it's a game changer for sure. It plots out all your field passes and puts you right on the correct row. It IS tricky to program and the directions are a bit confusing, but after you get everything set-up it's cool to see the system take-off!

    • @This1LifeWeLive
      @This1LifeWeLive  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It also does store info in the system interface, and you have the option of an external SD card too.

    Hi, I have a question.
    How has it been going with the equipment?
    Is it of good quality?
    Does it meet what it claims?"

    • @This1LifeWeLive
      @This1LifeWeLive  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes it does overall. I had a generation 1 interface system, and as my season ended they launched generation 2, which they tell me actually fixed most if not all of my complaints in regards to usability of the computer touch screen. It was accurate in both the WAAS and the RTK system. But just understand that only some states offer a free RTK connection, and otherwise you'd have to buy the equipment to set up the satellite transmitter. But on that note, the RTK might operate better. I used our free Michigan system and it was always cutting out. You could find someone with a drone, and test your field connection that way since they use RTK.
      But really the only reason I didn't use the system more is because my hay cutter (the thing I really needed it for) was not a fixed position implement . . . each time I sued it I had to crank it in or out and since the distances changed it affected the cut path. But really it was a stress-free way to seed and fertilize!

  • @ronsommer9409

    In part 1, you showed the angle sensor, so why @6:55 you said click No angle sensor?
    When you are mapping the field boundary, did you setup an offset or did you use the center of the tractor?
    A field boundary would not be a guidance line, so when you were driving around the field the second time, the tractor was not going to drive in the same tracks.

    • @This1LifeWeLive
      @This1LifeWeLive  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not sure why you have to click "no angle sensor". That's what I was told by the tech support team. I drove field boundaries and guidance lines. but yes, they are different, and will vary a bit depending on implement settings.

    • @ronsommer9409
      @ronsommer9409 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@This1LifeWeLive Yes, the guidance lines will adjust when you change to a different implement.
      I purchased my first auto steer in 2008 and currently have auto steer in the planting tractor, combine, and sprayer. They are all different systems.
      Do you have to have a field boundary because of Auto Turn?

  • @robertkent2466

    Wow, the system sounds complicated. Once you get good with it, you could probably sell, install, and set up the units.

    • @This1LifeWeLive
      @This1LifeWeLive  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The biggest downfall I see is just lack of concise instructions in the manual. Such as RTK needing a solid internet connection (had to research that online after my connection kept dropping when I left the front yard, haha). I think with clear step by step instructions it could in fact be quite simple. So, I'm trying to CREATE a video instruction manual to make it faster for others :)
      Once I figure out each correct step, I'm sure I could explain it to someone else and have them running in a fraction of the time it took me ;)

    Lord what a nightmare 🤔🤔

    • @This1LifeWeLive
      @This1LifeWeLive  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's really not once you get the directions figured out. Like most things these days, the instructions are lacking many important details which makes set-up more complicated until you figure the system out. I did anticipate a certain amount of this though . . . hopefully I can explain things a bit better for others who are stuck and maybe shorten their start-up time a bit :)

    It's kind of a waste having it when you don't farm that many acres and your only grop is hay

  • @greghamann2099
    @greghamann2099 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    These things are used for row crops harvesting, planting and tillage. Hay bailing not so much. The system is fine. They work well when applied to a full-time farm of decent acreage. You didn't trace any boundaries. You have much to learn. You really didn't show it working at something productive. Moste videos like this end up showing that it does something useful.

    • @This1LifeWeLive
      @This1LifeWeLive  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There is a decent learning curve with these systems, and having clear instructions helps as well. Most posts I found online stated they had SOMEONE ELSE set everything up and SHOW THEM how to do it. I don't have anyone here with me to help, just a tech support team trying to help through chat (which was better than just me on my own and they did their best).
      I did actually draw several boundaries. I spent hours drawing boundaries in fact, so I could not film everything. No, I was not able to show it doing something "productive" as we had just had a massive rain and the fields were wet, so I had to make do with testing it's ability to stay on a curving path, which was my main concern anyway. I don't think it's too hard to get a tractor to drive straight, but to follow a meticulous path takes more skill ;)
