Recently started playing viola. To fully experience music you don't just listen to it, you play it. I never imagined I would be playing this. Magnificent, even just the first portions, which is enough for now. So far I am just recording the backing music on keyboard to play viola with. I picked oboe sound for the start then quickly change the sound to some powerful strings for that sudden explosion leading to that epic F chord.
Its true, to listen is not enough, only when you play you fully recognize the beauty of the harmonies, of the chords. With my rather limitted talents to play the piano, I play the prelude to Tristan - and it is hard to stop playing it, only when my back starts to hurt I stop playing. This music is close to be a drug.
ArnoGoldfinger No, the range for the lower section, which during that part was played by the woodwinds, was meant to be that way. Writing that high in bass clef would be ridiculous. And besides, this is a transcription done on piano staves. The lower stage does not represent only the cellos and basses, but many other instruments, clef changing is common for the lower stage in piano music and transcriptions.
Love this performance 🤍🥰🥹🎵🎶🎼

Grazie. Ciao :-)
can i get the sheet notes? thanks
Am I missing something or is the bass clef mistakenly represented with a treble clef between the 1 minute and 1 minute 57 second mark?
