- In this STEP-by-STEP tutorial I will show you how to convert PNG and JPG images to SVG format with the free graphic design program Inkscape. You have bought an image in jpg or png format but you need it in SVG format, don't worry!!! I'll show you how to create the color layers and how to save in SVG format. Files and images in SVG format can be used on Cricut, Cameo or any other cutting plotter.

Thanks for the clear explanation! How well does it go picking up anti-aliased lines or any other sort of noise that might be in the image like compression artefacts?

Hi, great video, I just started using Inkscape. Can you add brushes into Inkscape. I want to add gold glitter to parts of an image. Thank you
Great Video, I am trying to do the opposite. I design projects that are multi layer and will be laid out as multi color projects.
I would like to be able to bring in my layer from Lightburn as an SVG and separate them and then color those layers to try and decide on a final color scheme. Is this possible
good, thanks
thanks a lot! :)
Thank you
Thank you for the tutorial... However, I just downloaded inkscape on my new laptop after watching video and yours looks different than mine. can you please help me? I don't see the same screen to the right that pops up in your when I click path abd trace I can't attach a picture. But I am trying to get my single layer file to a multi layer file to cut in cricut.
Hi Daisy, I followed the instructions but it didn't separate the colors. I tried multiple times.
You dont mention having to adjust the lines in the flower to close the object before filling it. At 2:40 nodes suddenly appear and the object has changed. Im assuming this is done to avoid the fill colour overflowing into the background? Might pay to mention these things so people dont run into the same problem.
Can i upgrade low resolution png image in inkscape to high resolution png. Can you make an video about that. 🙏
¡Excelente tutoría! ¿De qué tamaño deberían ser los archivos? Nadie ha mencionado eso. ¡Gracias! 😊
Simple puede buscar "required pixel size in inkscape"
Quise decir siempre no simple
How did the background turn pink?
thanks like 300
is it just me that can’t see the preview
Thank you
