    Hi. Thank you. I ha e a question 🙋🏼‍♀️ why do you need to color on design space if the color is your vinyl? ( I’m new ) could you just cut the outline with out all the coloring ?

    • @kristenscricutcorner2258
      @kristenscricutcorner2258  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you can just cut the outline but if you want to have a colored image not just the outline this is how you can do that. The problem is you have to tell design space what parts you want a different color. If you have just an all red image but you want some parts black you have to identify what parts you want a separate color or else the cricut will cut everything the color of vinyl (for example) that you put in there. I hope that makes sense!?

    Excellent step by step. Question: Could I , once I slice my dinosaur
    just duplicate then contour, hide all. then just click on what I want? Also I learned that if you move your image all the way to the left of DS you can see what's happening to your image while on the contour feature. Thanks!

    • @kristenscricutcorner2258

    • @kristenscricutcorner2258

      Yes I did cut each color separately. But there is a way to cut one time using smaller pieces of you material. It can be a little tricky getting everything lined us just right.

    What happens if you do not have lines once you remove the color?

    • @kristenscricutcorner2258
      @kristenscricutcorner2258  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you image doesn't have lines and you can't find one that does. You can try to just slice and contour the areas that you want one color. Or what I do with some images is just erase all but one color then repeat with each additional color and piece them together. If that makes sense?

    This part near the end you do things but don’t explain what you’re doing just before you write do you group everything in the pictures or not do you weld or not? It’s not very clear?!

    • @kristenscricutcorner2258
      @kristenscricutcorner2258  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No you do not want to group or weld these together. It will change all the colors to one single one. You can "Attach" if you are using vinyl and want to layer it perfectly on top of each other. Otherwise I would just cut without doing anything. Sorry for the confusion

    My lines are not dark thick lines and I used the very same dinosaur file. They are very light with gaps even though I am very careful when deleting the colors. There are small gaps that affect being able to contour the hearts out. Why is this happening? Also, you go too fast. I can hear a lot of clicking and you say do this but you need to show where that is that you are clicking.

    • @kristenscricutcorner2258
      @kristenscricutcorner2258  ปีที่แล้ว

      Change you color tolerance. Adjust the level up or down depending on how thick or thin you want them. In most cases the lower the color tolerance the thicker the lines will be. I am sorry that I am going so fast. Thank you for the feedback and taking time to comment. I hope that helps solve your problem. I will keep that in mind for future videos
