Some of the comments here are so funny. Look, this dealer sold just shy of 1700 Corvettes last year! Yep - that’s why you have to have inventory on hand. For all the sky is falling comments - if you are looking for a 2024 you didn’t spec and order and it’s over $100k you’ll find dealers knocking a few bucks off in stock. I’m not an industry insider nor do I work for GM or a dealer. There’s only 25,000 or so made a year. The top earners can buy that each year no problem. Stop hating. Good grief.
I’ve been shopping for 6 months and I can’t them. When you do find what you want they are pretty expensive. I don’t get what the trolls are talking about either
As long as banks will pay them after so long dealers will continue to keep their prices high. Once the banks step in and say no more I have a feeling you’d be able to get any vehicle without dealer markup plus they’ll be ACTIVELY attempting to make deals.
I have owned 17 corvettes and by far my 2021 C8, HTC, Z51, front end lift, magnetic ride vette is the best car that I have owned! Oh and even though I now live in Florida....I purchased it from McMulkin Chevrolet in Nashua NH, drop shipped it to us in West Palm Beach, for no additional charge....they are, without a doubt, the most honest corvette dealership in the country.
I bought a new Colorado Trail Boss here in Phoenix and the dealer has like 10 C8s sitting in the showroom all lined up for the last 4 months not selling!
You're welcome and thank you... glad you like the tour! I'm sure you're right that my ERay, which I call "Leap" (built February 29th), will be as good as new at some point, but getting rear-ended by such a large truck sure was traumatic!
"Leap" haha! I like that! Definitely get with doctors on making sure you have not suffered any soft tissue damage. That can lead to a lifetime of neurological and pain issues. Also, do not hesitate to speak with members of the behavioral / psychological community, just to make sure you are okay (from the accident). A lot of us suffer PTSD from car accidents, and never understand the long term psychological effect of it. Meantime, keep the faith that everything will work in your favor!
I was shocked by the MSRP; $155k?! Wasn't the Corvette supposed to be the "affordable" super car, for like $75k? Then again, with the Big Three pushing to sell 6 figure pickup trucks and SUVs, perhaps it isn't so far-fetched. However, once all of the 'Vette fans buy one, who are they going to sell these to?
And i’m holding on to my C7 Z51 19 Stingray special edition admiral dark blue. Ive got tint, 2x10” woofers in the custom stealth Box, custom z06 fog lights, and a range module to keep the engine in V8 mode at all times! People of all ages salivate over my car. Truly a blessing! It looks better than any c8 in my opinion.
@simonweston2112 Oooo that's sweet if I was doing a no money object build it would be a C5 I miss my C5 best looking Corvette on my opinion especially highly modified... they had to jump through so many hoops and break so many rules to make that car it'll never happen again 15K I would never get rid of it my C6Z is at 27k and going on it's 18th year on stock heads😊
I really like the look of C3 Corvettes, but the driving experience between that and a C8 is not even in the same world. Really, though, it's all about what you want, and I can definitely see preferring a C3 over a C8, just like I prefer an ERay over a Z06. They're beautiful Corvettes, and I love them all.
They are in the back because they are sold. Ask how many Z06’s are for sale! Lots of C8’s available for sale but not Z06’s. See all the sold signs on the front windows.
If you look at the website, they have at least 15 Z06 for sale right now, at, or below msrp 😂. People that paid $50K+ to early adopt these things must be in tears right now
Mmm that seawolf Z0 is NASTY! gorgeous car. I liked my buddy's so much I ordered us a stingray designed based off of it. Very sharp. I looked in a 400 mile range, 8 in stock, picked 2 at random and both dealers 20-30k over MSRP. Those aren't stock I bet ya. Stingrays are finally on lots. Plenty of them but the Z06 proves still to be tough to get. I've got one available, customer backed out on. MSRP only. Putting word out to my pipeline come Saturday. Let me know if interested! There's a Chevy dealer in my town and they have been sitting on the same Z06 for three months because no one will pay the mark-up. These guys need to go to the local high school and audit the Intro to Economics class.
Agreed. The dealership where I recorded this video sells over 1200 Corvettes a year... at MSRP. The dealership in your town is just looking to make ONE sale and net an extra $5k-50k in profit with their ADM. No reason to pay that.
In 2018 I was able to go up to the 3RD floor, showing up a day early to see the car I ordered. It had some collector cars they own. Camaro, Chevelle and of course Vette's. I don't remember them all.

Me too, I saw one just yesterday in DC. Thought it was a stingray at first then I saw it was a Z06. I was like that’s it ? The hype is way more than what the car itself is.
@@MooMoo69556 I find them badly proportioned and over styled myself, but yeah, it's just one man's opinion. I do find that Z06 and ZR1 proportions far better to my eye.
$155.000 to $160,000 average. In two years, through simple depreciation sub $100,000. The way the economy is headed, with all of the stress on banking with bad debt due to soaring defaults and bankruptcies, don’t be to surprised if these Vettes will go sub $100,000 in far less than 2 years. Anyone that thinks different, buy one hell of a gap policy. I remember 2008 - 09. I was looking at new Porsche 911s, list average was $120,000 for what I wanted. Porsche Carrera 4S. In mid 09, with a Bay Area dealer facing bankruptcy, I paid $94,000 for a brand new one, out the door. Just my foresight. There are those who can’t wait, got to have that new car now. Today it’s called more debt than brains.
Everyone is poor, people are struggling to buy groceries and insurance, they can't even think about high performance cars. It's too bad because the C8 is magnificent, the z06 even more so.
I’m glad that the C8 is still a unicorn here in Albuquerque NM i’ve only seen about 50 on the road in five years since it came out I’m planning to buy a 2028 ERAY
GOOD video, he's detailed, good camera work, showed and identified everything, front, back, sides, showed all the cars, very informative video. you don't really see this level of detail in other car videos.
The unusual colors and strange options that buyers might hate today are what will make these cars worth tons of money in the future. All you need to know a thing or two about that is to look into the past. Rare color combinations, rare engine options, and strange interior color combinations have always made Corvettes more exciting and more valuable. Chevrolet really needs to open the door to buyers with more color options. Hell, when the ZR1 comes out, I think buyers should be able to pick any color they want in the history of Corvettes. There should be an option to open the door to the entire historical lot of color choices.
Not sure about "soon" but it will get fixed, Glen, and I'll make a video about the process... everything that it takes, which is a lot. "Nightmare" is a good word for being rear-ended. Thanks for your support!
I'm not sure why everyone's so concerned with the C8 market not crashing just returning to where it should be. Remember General Motors offered the BCA at $60,000. Just because the market took that car over 100k+ Dan inventory shortage doesn't mean that it's new price point. Even the ZO six is worth at best MSRP and even that's gonna go away pretty soon. It's like everybody forgot Corvette is supposed to be in affordable sports car under $100,000. I think it's just nice to see normalcy to the price structure of the supercar/performance car market The real big problem is the massive inventory overload that every manufacturer has particularly in trucks. Billions upon billions just sitting in depreciating. Do you want to really screw up the car that's the forecast.
You won't see this at any Porsche dealers. 911's are hard to get and the ones they have are all used and marked up 15-20% over sticker and the service area only has cayman's and Macan's in to fix becasue the 911's don't break as much.
Well, the ZR1 price hasn't been announced yet. The ZR1 may start at under $200k, or may not, but the Z06 I showed in my video has almost every option available. You can't really compare the two. I'd love to own either, but I'm also very happy with my ERay!
Porsche guy here. They have massively increased porsche prices lately. CarreraS was a $ 100-130k car, now $170 and Turbos usually $180k seeing $250k+. Some say Porsche market about to bust as well.
I recently ordered a Z06 I currently Own a Stingray fully loaded for 95 The Z06 175 honestly I ended up not getting the ZO6 it's not worth the 80K extra Z06 are getting too expensive
The calculation is different for everyone, depending upon what people want. Enjoy your C8 Corvette! Really, you probably can't go wrong. All three models are great!
Don't feel sorry for these dealers or for Chevrolet. I was a C7 LT3 convertible owner who wanted to stay in the family with the C8. But after watching them go out the door at 2X-4X MSRP thanks to these greedy dealers I said the hell with it and got a Jaguar that I love to pieces. I'm listening in this video to "$175k - what a bargain!" for a car that was announced at $90k and that they were probably demanding $225k for six months ago. Well 50% of what you think you're going to get is better than 100% of nothing. Should have learned that in school. Enjoy the traffic jam of inventory on your lots.
Congratulations on your retirement! While I understand you don't miss it - I don't miss my last job either; they treated me horribly - I want to say that all the Corvette customers I know, we very much appreciate the Jack Cooper drivers for safely bringing our Corvettes to us!
When I went car shopping out of necessity in 2021, so many people I knew were buying above their means….. I decided to buy a Toyota. Knowing that eventually the car I really wanted would be discounted heavily when the flood hit. Life’s simplest rules…… when everyone is buying…. Wait. When everyone is selling… lowball. Rinse, repeat.
It's a hard life when accidents happen & they run. Driving my Kawaseksi Ninja ZX-6R @0610am Oct. 25, 2023, the driver rear-ended me left the scene, no witnesses my statement broken left clavicle, two left ribs & the EMT stepping on my left hand breaking my hand carpal bone & ring finger falinge. Terrible!
Wow, that's horrible! It really had to have been tough to deal with... and probably still is. I know I got out of my accident comparably easy. My brand-new Corvette ERay is damaged, yes, but I can still drive it, and I wasn't physically hurt. The tractor trailer driver who rear-ended me when I was stopped at a light was tracked down from the photos I took, and his insurance company will pay for the repairs. Wishing you the best going forward.
Channel stuffing will soon assure much lower prices. I’m a three-time Corvette owner and one day. I woke up and realized “I’m just driving a Chevy“ and I thought they were not worth the extra cost.
He hit you in the rear and then he took off ?? And you got his license ? That’s a felony and you should get a new car. You can’t take a chance on a bent frame.
Buddy of mine got his last year for $197k. I just saw his same car on CarGurus (used with 1k miles) for $129k. These things are dropping faster than panties on NFL draft night.
This is the no1 corvette dealer. They will have a LOT of inventory and even other dealers will buy from them. They got no problem selling these cars. Wish i could afford to change in my c5 , but i cant see paying that much money unless its a house 😂
I had to look it up. Cool memory of the past. Probably, the markup at Malom Konner kept a lot of Corvettes on their lot? Almost all of these in my video were out the door at MSRP, and a week later now, most are already at home with their happy buyers.
A nice set of Foglamps would set these cars off so nicely! But these prices are ridiculous. Seems like we are normalizing everyday cars costing over 100k... and then the take a 20% plus hit in depreciation once you drive it off the lot.
It costs billions to design a new Corvette model, set up the contracts and factories to make the parts, train employees how to build and maintain the car, advertise it and start mass production and actual delivery. After the process is up and running, the actual cost of making another couple of hundred of them is small potatoes compared to what it cost to make it possible to produce any of them. There's not $120,000 parts and labor in what it cost to make any one mass-produced Corvette, but GM has to sell many thousands of them at those prices before it starts to break even.
Absolute product flood. Corvette's and Z06 production is at 23,000 total units and over 7,000 Z06's for model year 2024 and counting. Almost zero exclusivity and as common as a Kia. The car shows and Cars & Coffee full of these. Inevitable that prices will reflect this, as great as they are.
Good question. I guess it's individual buyer preference. My ERay is rated at 2.5 seconds 0-60 by GM (quicker than C8 Z06), and I love the extra torque the AWD motor in the front provides, so that was worth it to me, but I also didn't buy lots of options that would jack up the price!

True, and they're actually the #1 Corvette dealer by sales volume. The prices I quoted are MSRP sticker prices from the factory, and if you order a Corvette from them, that's what you pay. They don't charge any ADM (Additional Dealer Markup).

Context is essential, Thank you for your input. 👍
Yeah. There are a lot of interesting comments on this video. These are great cars that will always be expensive, and they always have been expensive.
This is good, really good. Full dealer lots means low prices coming.
Glad to hear your okay.
It is like Z06 Heaven where they come to just rest.
I bought a new Colorado Trail Boss here in Phoenix and the dealer has like 10 C8s sitting in the showroom all lined up for the last 4 months not selling!
Great coverage! Thank you for the tour! I am sorry for the accident. They will get your vehicle back to shape!
However, once all of the 'Vette fans buy one, who are they going to sell these to?
lol you don’t understand trim levels? This is a z06 not the regular vette which starts under 70k
Thank you!
thats a fair dealership, i havent made up my mind between the z06 or eray im just waiting patiently
Slightly more attractive than a Cybertruck.
I never was a Corvette fan and I think that the hype of the last few years has only made it worse. I think that the C8 has just been taken too far.
Somebody shold drag race a C8 Stingray and a new Model 3 performance. Both 500hp.
What's your opinion on a Lamborghini then?
The more time goes by the more I'm keeping my C6Z
And me with my C7 Z06/Z07
And i’m holding on to my C7 Z51 19 Stingray special edition admiral dark blue. Ive got tint, 2x10” woofers in the custom stealth Box, custom z06 fog lights, and a range module to keep the engine in V8 mode at all times! People of all ages salivate over my car. Truly a blessing! It looks better than any c8 in my opinion.
2002 C5 Z06 w/15k 😊
@simonweston2112 Oooo that's sweet if I was doing a no money object build it would be a C5 I miss my C5 best looking Corvette on my opinion especially highly modified... they had to jump through so many hoops and break so many rules to make that car it'll never happen again 15K I would never get rid of it my C6Z is at 27k and going on it's 18th year on stock heads😊
The more I look at those things the more I like my 71 vet
I really like the look of C3 Corvettes, but the driving experience between that and a C8 is not even in the same world. Really, though, it's all about what you want, and I can definitely see preferring a C3 over a C8, just like I prefer an ERay over a Z06. They're beautiful Corvettes, and I love them all.
They are in the back because they are sold. Ask how many Z06’s are for sale! Lots of C8’s available for sale but not Z06’s. See all the sold signs on the front windows.
If you look at the website, they have at least 15 Z06 for sale right now, at, or below msrp 😂. People that paid $50K+ to early adopt these things must be in tears right now
Yeah all those z06 cars in the back are already sold
@@quencyedouazin5333 maybe, but I just got off the phone with them, and they have 19 Z06 that are not spoken for 🤷♂️
@@quencyedouazin5333 maybe, but I just got off the phone with them, and they have 19 Z06 that are not spoken for 🤷♂️
I disagree. All the dealers around me have unsold zo6s. The drought is over.
Whooo wheeee these are so beautiful! Thanks for taking your time to show us :))))
Oh..... and I'm not yet to the heartbreaking news..... still watching
Wellllll........that. is. Awful. So damn sorry. Happy you are ok!!
Thank you so much for caring about my ERay getting rear-ended (by an 18-wheeler)!
So many nice Corvettes! What's not to love?
NH my old stomping grounds. I miss that state, the food, the flora and fauna. Such a beautiful state. I am sure you will make great lemonade.
Thank you, kind sir!
NH - overpriced. Not fer me.!!!
We'll fly you in if desired or deliver enclosed.
🙏🇺🇲🙏🇺🇲🙏🇺🇲🙏🇺🇲🙏🇺🇲🙏🇺🇲🙏
There's a Chevy dealer in my town and they have been sitting on the same Z06 for three months because no one will pay the mark-up. These guys need to go to the local high school and audit the Intro to Economics class.
Agreed. The dealership where I recorded this video sells over 1200 Corvettes a year... at MSRP. The dealership in your town is just looking to make ONE sale and net an extra $5k-50k in profit with their ADM. No reason to pay that.
Loop9@@AWDCorvetteERay
In 2018 I was able to go up to the 3RD floor, showing up a day early to see the car I ordered. It had some collector cars they own. Camaro, Chevelle and of course Vette's. I don't remember them all.
Lots of wows there for sure, and the transporter was fully loaded for sure✅
I like The Hypersonic Grey
And if was in the market for a sports car,Bang For Your Buck, the Corvette, you couldn’t go wrong,as there performance is in the Super car category ✅
They actually look better in the flesh than in the photos, and personally,I’m not into all of the spoilers etc,as the body itself is “Busy”
All the best🥳
I prefer my C6 with 17K miles that I paid $28K for. Never seen rain and garaged everyday of its life.
There’s also a dealership in Southern California, Orange County that sells C8 at MSRP, but you have to order them
What dealer is that?
Selman Chevrolet in OC. Ask for Jim in commercial sales.
After seeing the Z06 in real life, I like em a little less. Definitely a really nice car but doesn’t grab me like I thought it would
Naa u prolly saw a ugly color or something
Me too, I saw one just yesterday in DC. Thought it was a stingray at first then I saw it was a Z06. I was like that’s it ? The hype is way more than what the car itself is.
I just absolutely love the sound of Z06(c8), massive improvement.
Actually the BASE non-convertible with no wing looks better. It's True.!!!
@@MrDahkilla You're paying I think $42K (!) extra, for the engine. Unless you hear the engine, yeah..
As time goes on it becomes more and more apparent that these things will not stand the test of time in terms of design.
Why’s that?
Good question. I always take predictions of the future, based upon personal opinion, with a grain of salt.
@@MooMoo69556 I find them badly proportioned and over styled myself, but yeah, it's just one man's opinion. I do find that Z06 and ZR1 proportions far better to my eye.
I think GM destroyed an iconic car. There was nothing else like it. It was in a class by itself. Now it’s just an another euro sports car.
The Z07 package puts the design over the top for me.
Over the top is right. Actually the Base NON-convertible looks better. ZO7 for bragging rights but not for better looks. It's True.!!!
The Z06/Z07 is a street legal race car. It's supposed to be over the top... for performance!
@@AWDCorvetteERay But it looks stupid.
@@AWDCorvetteERay don't argue with people who hate on the car because they can't get one.
@@ezpz4659 Not trying to argue. Just trying to be accurate. The aero on the Z07 package is for function, not looks.
just checked their website out and they list 264 Corvettes in stock ...... wow ...
PS … if you invest, this video is yet another reason to short GM stock and load up on PUT options. JMHO
Here in California, Corvettes are like Honda Civics - everywhere! Exclusivity is not a selling point.
Love the z 06 !!!
GOOD video, he's detailed, good camera work, showed and identified everything, front, back, sides, showed all the cars, very informative video. you don't really see this level of detail in other car videos.
Thank you! I'm glad you found it helpful.
Sorry for the bad luck you had with your E-Ray. Hope it's fixed soon and the nightmare is over. -Glen
Not sure about "soon" but it will get fixed, Glen, and I'll make a video about the process... everything that it takes, which is a lot. "Nightmare" is a good word for being rear-ended. Thanks for your support!
Excellent production!
Thank you! Very much appreciate the words of encouragement.
When I buy a C8 I'm getting it from MacMulkin
I'm sure when Trumps gets back sells will bump up I will have one
They dont give me that feeling inside that the previous bodystyle did.
I see no need to replace my v series xlr, or manual transmition sts wagoun!
I think it's just nice to see normalcy to the price structure of the supercar/performance car market
The real big problem is the massive inventory overload that every manufacturer has particularly in trucks. Billions upon billions just sitting in depreciating. Do you want to really screw up the car that's the forecast.
I told people to wait 2 years and the prices would come back down. BTW, check the prices of the 911’s. $150K over sticker for the GT3.
They remind me of the toy GI Joe plane from the 80s.
You won't see this at any Porsche dealers. 911's are hard to get and the ones they have are all used and marked up 15-20% over sticker and the service area only has cayman's and Macan's in to fix becasue the 911's don't break as much.
We all hope that all ends up well for your car and you!!!
Thank you so much!
Give it time, the C8 craze will phase out soon 👍
Sold mine! After i got beat by a stock c7z06 😢
Shoulda had a modded Supra with 800 HP
you never had one. stfu. XD
200k for a ZO6. Great car but it’s not double a stingray great. What’s next, the ZR1 300k 🤮 nope! Chevy has completely alienated their core fanbase.
Blue collar guys car if he lives two lifetimes now.
Only 175k?! Hahahaha I'll wait for the Zr1 for almost the same price.
Well, the ZR1 price hasn't been announced yet. The ZR1 may start at under $200k, or may not, but the Z06 I showed in my video has almost every option available. You can't really compare the two. I'd love to own either, but I'm also very happy with my ERay!
12:00 That would be my choice. Love that blue color!
For all the haters complaining about the pricing… If this place wasn’t selling these cars, they wouldn’t even be bringing in more new ones.
This is a dream world for a normal American family.
That rings true to me. Having a family of your own is expensive. One of the main ways I managed to buy a C8 Corvette is that I never had any kids!
Define normal, this is obtainable for a family. I will be buying next year from MacMulkin
The most mass produced corvette of all time and it doesn't even come in manual. These things are going to depreciate like crazy.
Sad to see so many z06’s sitting there when I’ve been on the list for 2 years. Porsche calls and I’m out!
Porsche guy here. They have massively increased porsche prices lately. CarreraS was a $ 100-130k car, now $170 and Turbos usually $180k seeing $250k+. Some say Porsche market about to bust as well.
Thank you for the video, those ZO6s are absolutely gorgeous,.
100% my next spots car will be the C8Z.
Thank YOU, glad I could help!
Can you do burnouts or get tail happy at slow speeds Z06? Im old but I dont want to drive a boring car.
I believe you can if the car is in the proper Drive Mode and Traction Control setting, etc. Maybe a Z06 owner will chime in here.
Really love the grey one
I'm very happy with mine in Hypersonic Gray Metallic, and the Adrenaline Red interior really makes it pop - especially with the top down.
I retire from Jack Cooper transport car haul the last load I haul I delivered at Nashua. Don't miss it at all.
Congratulations on your retirement! While I understand you don't miss it - I don't miss my last job either; they treated me horribly - I want to say that all the Corvette customers I know, we very much appreciate the Jack Cooper drivers for safely bringing our Corvettes to us!
That wing looks like it belongs on a rice burner....
You sound like a smart man to me!
@@AWDCorvetteERay Thanks man.... diggin your channel.
I'm just curious are they as easy to push as the front engine Corvettes
That big Wing looks ridiculous 😂😂
The whole car looks ridiculous. Actually a BASE non-convertible looks better with NO wing.
I'll take the C7 ZO6 all day at least it still looks like a Corvette 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
enjoy your overheating lt4 with cylinder deactivation and crappy lifters. Great car, but has a few issues
The Z06 would put me in jail. I’m happy with the base model.
The C8 Stingray is a great car. I loved mine!
What a beautiful sight to see. 2:32 That new color is amazing.
This is the no1 corvette dealer. They will have a LOT of inventory and even other dealers will buy from them. They got no problem selling these cars. Wish i could afford to change in my c5 , but i cant see paying that much money unless its a house 😂
Reminds me of Malcom Konner in 1993 a sea of vettes ,but $40,000 plus.
Seems like we are normalizing
everyday cars costing over 100k... and then the take a 20% plus
hit in depreciation once you drive it off the lot.
Come back next week. If the same cars are still there, then it might be heartbreaking.
Exactly! There's a reason why car companies are notoriously difficult to establish and run profitably. There's a lot of moving parts... literally!
Lmao there is actually dumbass coming out and starts to defend. Which dealer do you work at
Absolute product flood. Corvette's and Z06 production is at 23,000 total units and over 7,000 Z06's for model year 2024 and counting. Almost zero exclusivity and as common as a Kia. The car shows and Cars & Coffee full of these. Inevitable that prices will reflect this, as great as they are.
So the regular C8 is 0 to 60 in 3 seconds that’s pretty damn fast just the regular C8 is the Z06 even worth it
Good question. I guess it's individual buyer preference. My ERay is rated at 2.5 seconds 0-60 by GM (quicker than C8 Z06), and I love the extra torque the AWD motor in the front provides, so that was worth it to me, but I also didn't buy lots of options that would jack up the price!
I’ll keep driving my trucks and travel.
This is MacMulkin in New Hampshire. They’re a top 3 corvette dealership in the country. You should have seen the line when they had a C8 to show when it was first released. Hundreds of people in line, if not thousands. Their prices are kinda ass tho
True, and they're actually the #1 Corvette dealer by sales volume. The prices I quoted are MSRP sticker prices from the factory, and if you order a Corvette from them, that's what you pay. They don't charge any ADM (Additional Dealer Markup).
I live near there. Maybe I should go in and see if they want to free up some space and let one go for 50k
Doesn't hurt to ask! lol
Good luck selling all those!
Hope they catch the clown who hit you & ran. And hope he was fully insured but sort of doubt it...may be why he fled. Best of luck with your repairs!
Thank you. He was identified, and his insurance is paying.
I will take a 1967 427 Stingray Convertible (in Marina Blue) over any of these any day.
People demanded exotic euro style engineering in their modern performance cars.....
Then complain about the prices being too high.
You can't design a car with tech like a GTLM and then sell it for cheap.
