      Hi, yes it is normal for many bikes, most people would not notice it because it's only visible in the dark.

    I love my new Delkevic Headers. But do you know the torque setting for the header bolts for the DOHC CB750 ? - Thanks -

      Glad you like them. As a general rule we always advise customers to refer to your service manual for those settings.

      @@DelkevicExhausts That is a pathetic answer on your part. I found out other wise for aluminum engines and heads from Valley Motorsports in Ansonia CT.
      12mm = > 25-29 lbs
      10 mm => 15-20 lbs
      etc -
      Your pipes are okay. I hope they do not burn out earlier than expected -

    What performance would I get out of a delkevic exhaust on my 1978 xs750s yamaha?

      These classic bike exhausts are designed with a different set of priorities, how they look and sound being a higher priority than how they perform. If you want to see exhausts that are optimised for performance, choose nay of the more modern exhausts that we offer, using 21st century designs and tech.

    How do you get the baffle out of the type that you don’t recommend you remove? I’ve just fitted a system to my Kawasaki Z1100 and it sounds terrible.

      Hi, that one is very simple, the whole cartridge just comes out once you undo the screw, but you're left with nothing but the pipe, completely without any sound dampening which obviously is incredibly loud.

    Which one of the two styles of exhaust is quieter?

    • @DelkevicExhausts
      @DelkevicExhausts  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It varies from bike to bike but generally the larger exhaust because it has more sound deadening material in it.

    Does the slip-on sound very diffrent from the whole system?

    • @DelkevicExhausts
      @DelkevicExhausts  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I'm not sure what you mean. Most classic era bikes don't have cats fitted so the oe system is straight through, like our systems so the sound isn't too different but obviously our sliencers/mufflers sound very different to oe ones, whether they are on the end of our downpipes or the oe downpipes.

      @@DelkevicExhausts i like the sound of the Delkevic classic 4-1.
      But i was wondering if the slip on would sound as nice on a 4-2 😁

    would it be possible to make the megaphone exhaust quieter cheers

    • @DelkevicExhausts
      @DelkevicExhausts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Megaphone exhaust is delibertaely quite loud, partly because of the design constraints in trying to keep it remaining visually authentic and partly because most of the potential buyers want it to be loud. It does have a small dB killer baffle but anything more restrictive will adversly affect the exhaust and performance of the bike. Thank you :)

      Did you come up with a solution?
      I've fitted one to my Suzuki GS yesterday, and quite frankly I'm embarrassed to ride it now, especially when out late. It was meant to replace my crash damaged BSM 4-1, which despite very similar dimensions, is infinitely more pleasant, even with leaky headers

      @@VyantQuijt insert a couple of stainless steel scrub pads for additional sound dampening.

      @@robducharme7901 I ended up doing exactly that. Made a wire frame to fit in front of the dampener and stuffed it with scrubbing pads
