Dukes old fashioned burgers in La Mesa is incredibly underrated and insanely good. Maybe cuz it’s new not many ppl talk about it? Idk why. Also balboa for sure

Finally went there, saw a vacuum sealed rectangular tube of ground beef, hand formed patty, it was gross to watch. Food arrived and it was mediocre. You have to be wasted to like their food. Granted the person that raved about Rocky's was always out drinking

The best burger I ever had was at a steakhouse, Nicos. It has since closed, but what a burger. I also never get a burger with sauce. Usually just meat, cheese and bun. Sometimes onions. That's how you tell how good the meat is
How could you not go to Rocky’s crown pub when looking for the best burger in SD? Or Hodads? The Balboa? People… you are not getting the best burgers in SD from this post.
What is this fairly recent obsession with "smash" burgers. I prefer a nice thick, juicy patty. Rocky's, The Balboa, Hodad's...these places know how to make a classic burger. Screw this smash stuff!!!
