four years later, the fine bros. now have over 20 million subs. So, unfortunately, the effect of the controversy didn't last.
The majority of TH-cam controversies don't. Logan Paul, Channel Awesome, the guys and Gus Johnson are just some examples I can think of where the channel had some pretty dodgy things happen, and they got away with it because they either just acknowledge what they did wrong in an apology video and just wait for the hate to die down, or they just do the latter and continue on as if nothing happened.

Every sense I was little I wanted to make "react videos". I actually wanted to make it like a history book, for every world changing event I get a ton of different people to talk about how it affected there life, it would be a more human way to see history.....remember finebros actually have power to do that and instead they will make "kids react to Beyoncé"

That Guy I mean I guess I could more or less but I don't have the resources to reach out to people across the world for a Face to Face interviews and such. I could try to propose it to NPR, or Discovery channel or something though. Actually If anything I would probably try to get the people at public records to help out with it because I don't want to personally financially benefit from stories that have actual people get harmed, and for it to be used as historical documents I want everyone to have the power access it. Idk I actually might try to work it just on a smaller scale.

That bit at the beginning, I never considered the Fine Bros to be in that bubble of react channels that do nothing and steal content in their entirety. They edited the videos but most of all, they tried to talk about social issues and mainly a load of questions afterwards so they weren't a Jinx or a Tyrone Magnus. However I don't agree with them trying to copyright a genre, at all.
That part where I say social issues, you can ignore that part. It makes me sound like a Fine Bros fan boy, I'm not.
I thought so aswell. At least for some of their videos like 'parents react to don't stay in school'.
But there still is a lot of Bullshit reaction videos on their channel.
