I mostly take offense to Jeff, personally. He's supposed to be grotesque and unstable, not a perfect boyfriend. (Plus, he's thirteen. So unless you're in Japan, where the age of consent is thirteen, things get weird pretty quick.)
The first time I saw the Jeff the killer image, I was scared shitless, but because of the Internet, I've become so desensitised to it, due to the fact that it's they only image people use to scare others. Now when I see it just become annoyed. The whole scare factor is gone.
i got jumpscared 2 times by that jeff the killer sreamer gif the first time i just screamed and got scared at the age of 12 from that point on i hated it i couldn't see it without feeling uneasy, the second time i didn't even expect it had my volume at 100% i screamed, cried and hyperventilated. I blocked the person who sent that on all social media and i was so angry and scared that uneasy feeling turned into real fear of that picture. i kinda have grown out of this fear but i still looked away during this video when jeff the killer appeard.
Yeah. Five nights used to be scary to me when I first seen it. Until the Internet started turning it into crap. Then it was so obvious if there's a FNAF jump scares. Also people used to think Animatronics as a robot. But know they think FNAF so I can not trust any kid anymore. Unless it's half the girls in my class and a small amount of boys in my class.

+ThatUSGamer I'm just here to point out that fursuits are pretty dang expensive, and you don't want to ruin that investment by having sex in it and risk staining it. Also, it's really hot inside a fursuit, you're about as likely to pass out from the heat during sex as you are to actually finish.

I remember when I first discovered creepypastas several years ago. at the time, they were chilling stories that made me feel uneasy, never knowing just how much of it was rooted in truth. Now they're just shitty fanfics, or incredibly predictable shock horror. I miss the days of good creepypasta, that didn't just rely on the gross out factor.

I completely agree. The source material themselves that is Creepypasta isn't that bad. But the fandom...dear God. When two twelve year olds almost murder their friend to "become Slendy's proxies", it really ruins the fandom overall. I mean, even bronies and Sonic fanboys don't go out and harm horses or hedgehogs "to please their pony or Sonic god". Even I, an anime fan, don't go out and murder a schoolgirl to please "mah waifu".
Although, to give some credit, I do appreciate the response narrators like MrCreepypasta gave when that whole Waukesha incident happened (donations to charity and to help that little girl pay off her hospital bills, etc.)

The SCP also has a lot of entries that fall into the realm of fantasy, sci-fi, and even comedy and parody. I actually prefer the lighthearted/non-creepypasta ones. I just hate anything that’s _too_ grimdark-edgy in general. It’s why I stopped watching/caring about a lot of TV shows, and why I hate the Archangel creepypasta from the Fear Mythos.

- Protagonist over-reacts to depictions of the character(s) death represented in said game yet continues to watch (the amount of time may vary). Suicide is optional, depending how much horror they *willingly* put themselves through.
- Protagonist fails to realize s/he can stop the game at time (e.g. forcibly ejecting the cartridge/disc, turn the system off/unplug it from the electrical outlet, throw the system/computer out the window).
- The game borrows other assets from other video games (e.g. Sonic laughing like Kefka, Silent Hill music in a game where it doesn't belong).
- "Evil" Numbers (e.g. 4, 13, 666).
This reminds me of "Purple Guy" from FnaF. All the 10 and 12 year old fangirls shipping themselves with a child serial killer who worked at a kids entertainment building.

I wrote a creepypasta in 2013 about Omegle because I was bored as heck, it was night and I didn't have anything else to do, so I wrote it.
Two years later I found out it went kinda viral, and people repeated it in a lot of pages; it even made it to TH-cam. YES! There are videos about my creepypasta in TH-cam! And I was all like "WTF!! I wasn't even inspired to write it! I just did it for the giggles!"
Also, it went into the "nobody knows who created it" category. Nobody puts my name as the author, everyone just put it there and moves on. That's how ridiculous it is.
I'm not even trying to get it back, I mean, is something I expected to be read once or twice, but it had gone viral. And it's in spanish, so at least is only spread through people who talk in spanish.

I decided that since I was hyper realistically bored, I would get a copy of billy hatcher to remember the good old hyper realistic days. I saw a free copy on ebay and decided to buy it with my hyper realistic money. however when I got the copy of sonic & knuckles from the old man I noticed that the disc was different and that instead of mario riding yoshi it had a skeleton and just said KIRBY in all caps written with hyper realistic marker. so I left the gamestop and popped the copy of pokemon black into my hyper realistic Xbox 360 and turned it on. however when it started it showed Jak killing Daxter with hyper realistic blood! I turned of my wii, threw it out the window, and broke it in half. the next day I invited my hyper realistic friend nathan to play the copy of halo 3, and he said that I was probably just dreaming but when he turned on the gameboy it showed us, but we were hyper realistic skeletons! so we hyper realistically ran out of my college dorm, and left to my friends house and then ghosts came out of the N64 that we brought with us and hyper realistically killed us!

Around the time before it was a heavy complain, I believe. It was made when there were the few terrible video games about them. Honestly I've always wanted to write a creepypasta, but held back as I'm not much of the hardcore CP reader at best. I just have my knowledge on how to make a story, and a whole lot of ideas with not a lot of access to freedom.

I discovered creepypastas when I was in eighth/ninth grade and thought they were terrifying because I had never heard of them before. They were vage and were usually unexplained, the fear of the unknown should be used more you know? This wants to kill you, that wants to kill you, where is it? When will it show up? What is it? Why does it want to hurt you and how? The idea of being hurt by some thing you can't stop or understand. As a fourteen year old it freaked me out. Then there are those little weirdos I've met that idolize/sexualize these things, you want to be friends with/ make out with something like Jeff the killer? What? He murdered his family, cut off half his face, and is interested in killing you too and you want to be intimate with that? I like the song I'm in love with a killer but I never took the lyrics to heart that way. I just get disappointed with creepypastas when they build up and your like oh this endings going to be good and then it flops. I don't know if its supposed to be a creepypasta at all but a 'short horror story' that I really love is "I heard it too" which is so short its only a few sencetences which I'll gladly put here because I want to.'A girl heard her mother call her from the kitchen and came down the hall to see what her mother wanted. Suddenly she was pulled into the hall closet and there was her mother who said," I heard it too." 'It's short and effective and leaves you wondering what was in the kitchen and what would have happened to the girl. I've seen other variations but when read out loud cps fail I like short horror films like they have on the channel crypt TV. Great video and colab IHE.

The original Jeff the Killer picture is actually a photoshopped image of an overweight teenage girl, who later committed suicide due to the obscene amounts of bullying she received for it. Glad to see stupid internet 13 year olds gleefully sexualizing a character spawned from a picture that was a direct cause to a young teen's death.

ScareTheater, a semi-popular TH-camr that sometimes discusses Creepypastas, actually interviewed the creator of the image (and the original story, not the creepypasta version) and was told that it was a photoshopped image of a latex mask, which makes sense, seeing as the environment in the JtK picture doesn't match the environment of the picture of the teen who killed herself. It's tragic that she did so, but fortunately the image of Jeff wasn't a photoshopped version of her.

one of the most solid creepy pasta communities out there is the SCP foundation. they've got great admins that make sure every entry is unique and legitamately terrifying. They have well over 3000 SCP's now, and I would highly recommend checking them out.

Some of these internet horror stories are actually pretty good, and I've read a lot of them. The fandom is ridiculous, though. I remember reading hundreds of identical stories about serial killer girls living in the "Slender mansion," which was some kind of fandom canon despite it being a crossover of disparate horror stories. I've seen a lot of slightly disturbing posts like "normal girls want to marry princes, we want to marry killers." I mean, it is fantasy (unlike some communities on tumblr) but really? One girl actually insisted that she literally lived in the mansion with the Creepypasta characters, and that I didn't believe her, they'd kill me. I mean, I shouldn't be afraid of fictional characters, but a death threat is a death threat.

After getting my bearings, I looked up to see a young boy with a Gameboy Advance SP Blue Edition in his tiny little hands. I had always dreamed of owning a Gameboy Advance SP Blue Edition, but my family could barely even afford Gold...
He looked up at me with those big, vibrating eyes. His two lower teeth quivered in confusion. "Muh, mahma," he said softly.
This was my chance! I ran at him screaming and stomping my feet, scrambling his brain in sheer confusion. I shoved him as hard as I could and grabbed his Gameboy Advance SP Blue Edition, and I ran out the door. I leaped back down the street towards my home. I pulled open the door by its big, smelly handle and I let myself in quietly. I snuck past my many parents and shut myself into my room. I had made it. Finally, a Gameboy Advance SP to call my own. I will have to keep it hidden from my family. I shouldn't ever allow them to know...
I took the Gameboy SP in my small, beautiful hands, and proceeded to slide the switch to "ON" mode. I will never forget that wonderful sound it made the first time I turned it on. And that wonderful Nintendo logo splashed my screen in sheer delight. I blew out my candle, and I pulled my curtain shut tight. I wanted absolutely nothing to get in the way of my first Gameboy Advanced SP Blue Edition experience.
Suddenly, a small man appeared on-screen. Shortly after, the word "Mario" started flashing behind him. I assume this man is the man known as "Mario". I had seen adverts showing him on television. The title of the screen slowly lowered itself in from the top of the screen.

My hart sank... as I noticed a dead pixel in the lower left region of the screen.
"Beggars can't be choosers," I thought to myself, however, and I pressed the start button with my Feenge.
A vast landscape with clouds, bushes, and bricks appeared before my very eye. And there he was. The familiar "Mario" man I had grown to enjoy.
I pushed left on the left button. Mario himself dashed to the left. Dust between his silly brown shoes filled the air. Amazed by his speed, I quickly pushed right to test his turning abilities. I was not disappointed, as Mario changed direction in a matter of seconds. I learned the other button functions as I played...
'B' allowed Mario to dash at high speeds, similar to my own. 'A' allowed him to leap so high in the sky that I screamed in fear that, perhaps, maybe he wouldn't come back down... Yet he always did, which engaged me in the game-world even further. I quickly grasped the concepts of jumping large gaps, avoiding enemies, and climbing a big, big flagpole at the end of each level.
I got to the fourth level without much problems. I looked into a nearby mirror and smiled at myself with one eyebrow raised and I said loudly, "Does this game think I am not good? I can handle anything it throws my way! Ahhh huhaaaaa! Auuhhh..."
Suddenly, the screen turned black... And I don't just mean black, I mean so black... The screen looked like a big, deep, deep hole.
I said out loud, "Is this a hole I see before me?" and it echoed, like a hole...
I wiped a large chunk of sweat from my flopping brow. "That was weird," I thought in a big bubble next to my head.
The level loaded, but this time it took a lot longer. Mario stood in place so I pushed right and he began running. I noticed the graphics were getting all jumbly. Also, the music was becoming less like the Mario theme, DA DA DAH DUH DA DAH DUH!, and more garbled, like BRRPP BRPP BRUPP BRR BRUM BRADDAH!!!
I was nearing the first gap of the stage to jump over. As I drew closer, I readied my sweating, pink thumb over the 'A' button. The gap was here! I pushed the button, but Mario didn't jump... He just screamed.
"HO!"
I pushed left as far as I could and he grounded to a halt, right at the edge of the gap. I pushed 'A' frantically and repeatedly to try and make him jump, but he just screamed and screamed.
"HA HO!"
The camera zoomed in on my face as I pummel that 'A' button, trying to make Mario fill that air above his body, but all that filled the air were my friend Mario's screams of fear.
I said, "No more!"
I pulled the cartridge from the Gameboy Advance SP and I threw it out my window. It landed in some mud outside and I laughed and I closed my window. I turned around... And I saw that the cartridge was back in my Gameboy... Mud oozed from it's cartridge slot.
I gasped and I said to myself, "Nooo... It can not be!"
The gameboy turned itself back on. Mario's face appeared with hyperrealistic skin pores and bloody chapped lips.
He spoke softly, "You stole me from my human... Now I, Mario of Nintendo of America Incorporated, curse you forever!"
I screamed aloud, louder than an eagle of the night, "There must be someway to undo this curse!"
I decided the only way to rid myself from this curse was to beat the game. I ran up to the first gap of the level. I pushed 'A' and Mario just screamed again.
"HO!"
I fell into the hole and Mario lost a life. This is when I noticed my skin began to rot and turn slightly green.
"What on Earth is happening, Mario?" I asked Mario.

I asked, "How can I beat the game with only screams? I cannot jump gaps by screaming!"
"Fuck you..." Mario said quietly.
I screamed.
"H O A H !"
I decided NOT to beat the game in fear of me rotting! I decided that I was going to do the right thing. I ran out of my room pushing my feeble mother out of my way in the hallway. I ran down the street to the boy's house. Thunder bellowed and rain pitter-pattered on my crying face. Finally, I reached the house. I leaped up to the boy's window and let myself in. The room was dark.
"Boy?!" I cried out. "Boy, are you there?"
I turned on the light switch. As the room lit up, I saw many people dressed in black... They all cried softly.
"Who the flip are you people," I asked with tears running down my chinny-chin-chin.
"We are this boy's family," a woman replied, "I was his mother..."
She pointed into the center of the room where a small, white coffin was suspended over a hole. My heart sank.
"Is your boy inside that box?" I asked with an eyebrow raised and a finger on my chin.
"Yes, a crazed person broke into our home, ravaged our son and stole his childhood by killing him."
Everything went slow. I dropped to my knees. I held the gameboy tightly in my clenched fist. "Could this be MY fault?" I asked myself politely.
His mother walked over to me with a big, fat tear in her eye. She told me, "it really means a lot that a stranger would let himself into our home to pay respects to a boy he didn't know. I'm sure you two would've gotten along great." She then pointed to the priest and said, "Please lower our child into the Earth NOW."
The priest did just that. He pulled on a lever with a shiny red ball on it. The coffin started going down!
I shoved the mother from my and I sprinted toward the coffin. I jumped on that coffin and the ropes snapped. I began falling into the Earth with the child inside. I heard the screams from his family echoing above.
I pried open the coffin as we fell and I shoved the gameboy into his tiny, cold mouth. "Free me of this curse, child!" I screamed at the top of my... head.
I noticed that we weren't hitting the bottom, and that the darkness in this hole reminded me of the dark I saw in the Gameboy. Could this be what I saw before?
From the darkness, a floating, black and white head of Mario appeared. He said to me, "In this hole, you shall fall with the dead body of a child! Huaaah hah..." and then he Gaussian blurred away...
"This is what I get for stealing, I guess," I said as I shrugged.
Suddenly, Mario appeared again. He said, "Wow... It sounds like you learned your lesson. You n-now be free... Bye." He clicked his... mustache and I was back in my room!
I looked over on my bed and the Gameboy Advance SP Blue Edition was gone!
My mother opened the door and she said, "My son! My beautiful son! I make you eggs on toast," and she threw it on my bed and left with a smile on her face.
I-I-r... I realized... maybe stealing not okay. I looked to the sky and I said, "Thank you, Mario inside Gameboy..."
Everything would be alright. And though the child remained permanently dead, his mother could always play his Gameboy Advance SP Blue Edition to remember him by.

There are some good Creepypastas, and there are some bad ones. I understand exactly what you mean when you say you hate Creepypastas, the fandom of poorly written stories such as, Jeff The Killer, Eyeless Jack, and Clockwork: Your Time Is Up are completely staggering. The fandom halls it as the end all be all of the internet, like it's the best thing ever, but it isn't. They're just supposed to be harmless stories, some of which I really like, such as The Darkness of Farside, Night Audit, and Faces In the Storm. It's kind of like everything. Everything nowadays has an annoying fanbase that makes you not want to touch it with a 50 foot pole. Creepypastas as a whole are acceptable. While I don't like the fanbase, I like some of the stories.
when i first heard of jeff the killer and the story, it was a very intriguing idea. a micheal myers killer that focuses on the change of what made him a serial killer plus a scary line (Go to sleep)...then i read the fan fiction and anime shit...now apparently jeff is a sexy edward scissorhands thats been used in several shitty stories....and THATS WHY WE CANT HAVE NICE THINGS, INTERNET!
Creepypastas shouldn't even exist, I've read some and they never get me scared or somewhat chilled. And whenever they release a game based on a popular creepypasta, it usually and HEAVILY relies on excessive use of jumpscares rather than building a disturbing tone or dark atmosphere.
